- There was a new kind of horsepower on I-90 in Cleveland on Saturday.
Video from an Ohio Department of Transportation traffic camera shows the moment when Cleveland police officers were chasing down two horses on I-90.
Cleveland police told 3News that during routine care and exercise, two Cleveland police horses escaped.
Vehicles on I-90 had to come to a complete stop after the two horses got loose on the roadway.
"Mounted officers promptly recovered both horses, ensuring their safety, and no further incidents ensued," said Cleveland police.

It looked like the horses ran right next to a horse trailer behind the building lol.
The horses were from the Cleveland police's mounted patrol. They escaped their stables but they did catch them and they were returned to their paddock. No injuries were reported. I'm from a town not far from Cleveland.
Charges include : going the wrong way in traffic and horseing around and no pedigree registration.

weren't they beautiful. ? So glad that drivers acted right and not many of them. Today I think I saw the last minutes of a happy excited dog, off leash not loved then, as I was coming passed a busy interstate ramps on a "blvd" with 6 to 8 lanes both directions. He was so pretty and I slowed way down far right lane as he started across, then backed up but wanting across all those lanes, I did not know what to do if I pulled off some how he might dart, cry now as I think of his beautiful happy face. People actually love you pets and your cats, discipline... leash laws too save them and others.

Last week it was a horse on the freeway in Philadelphia. I think these horses are up to something. (The black one looks like a Friesian.)

Horses need to get out and run, not stay cooped up in some small corral or stable.
Driving a semi for years seen a lot of horses get killed years ago the idiots would load the horses up and drive like they had no trailer behind them and vehicles stop ahead and they would rear end them the horses would get out . Sad lucky for them to survive.

So motorists would gently slow down to a complete stop for horses to pass. But when its icy or snowing, they speed up and ram each other. Aint the US wonderful?

Chasing is probably the absolute worst thing to do in this case.
The Cleveland Police "chase horses" ... well, that's the 1st mistake. Get well in front of them and hold out your hand in front of you. They are looking for a leader. Speak softly and move slowly. Flashing lights, sirens, flash-bank grenades and tasers work in the ghetto, but not at the stable.
Jeeze. Wonder where they came from. At least they were able to corral them off the freeway so that neither horse nor motorist sustained injury. Chasing an animal in traffic is hard enough; chasing one running towards oncoming traffic is doubly hard. Hope they were able to ultimately catch the horses, but again, at least they got em off the freeway.
