Well done Matt would love to see more new car reviews. I have been impressed with Kia since I got my 2016 Sorrento and now have a 2023 Sportage Hybrid, they seem to offer a lot of extras and there styling is up there with the best.
DSG gearbox.... would prefer an 8 speed regular auto. Guess time will tell, the well tested saying "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
Well presented new car view, hopefully more to come as its good to keep up dated with where "the soon to be used car" market is heading.

Really good video Matt, only thing I’d be ‘worried’ about is that to keep getting invited to these things you’ll be pressured to ‘play nice’ with the car companies and can’t be honest. That seems to be the way with most car sites these days, too addicted to the Ad revenue and junkits!… but again, as a review video, pretty good!!
Progress is a good thing. And personally I wouldn’t have been interested in watching it if it wasn’t you doing the review. Definitely opening the doors for new subscribers 👍🏾

The side view reminds me of Jaguar F Pace. But looking at the rear view it looks a lot like Rolls Royce Cullinan. Good review👍.
Equating this Far Eastern attempt with a Jag, still less a Royce, is like equating a Timex with a Rolex. They do the same job, but that’s where the similarity ends. Those who buy one will be those who don’t recognise the gulf.

Nothing wrong with the vid but loads of people are doing this kind of thing already. You’re brilliant with used cars, future classics etc and your encyclopaedic knowledge of them. But that’s just my opinion.

From a brand perspective, Kia is about as attractive as Hotpoint. Paint it black, but a Korean car is still white goods.

This car raises five major interesting questions. What radio station will the new Sorrento owner listen to? Is range anxiety going to be confirmed as a genuine medical condition? How much will it cost the Nhs? How much will the government and car manufacturers contribute to its solution? Can you imagine Matt pulling up in the car park as he is about to review this model in 10 years time?😎
At first I was not interested in this car, but your brief, and excellent review gives plenty of food for thought. It’s not a flashy looking car, but in does have some attractive features. I look forward to hearing more from you when you test drive it.
Stick four worn Landsail tyres on it and park it next it to the WonderGrip van and it'll start to look like a High Peak auto!

£50k for a car is unaffordable for most. I also think that all that tech is great....until something goes wrong. Modern cars are too big and too complex and it is all very unnecessary.

had a 2007 Sorento liked it overall but it did have a recall to have drain holes put in the rear axle support brackets. Even after that was done it started to get rusty underneath despite treating it with Waxoyl. Went away from Kia and now buy Ssangyong Korando's, on the second one now and cant fault them. Mine is the last of the 2.2 Diesels and tows like a dream. Kia have gone really expensive these days, don't think their latest Sorento will tempt me back because of past rust reputation and now their prices.

New Škoda Kodiaq would be about similar price (just a bit more actually) with the same setup, and - at least in my opinion - better interior and engine.
It can't compete with 7y warranty from Kia, though... Overall, nice car this is, would let my kids eat at the back no problems.

Better car is the 2024 Mazda cx-5 top spec, £36k like you always say “a lot of car for the money”
Better car is a late (2012) low mileage Range Rover L322. For considerably less than half that £36k. And infinitely more class. What it boils down to is this: do you want to drive an iPhone or a legend?
Great review Matt probably out of most peoples price range sadly though. I suppose we can dream. Also the car is far too good for our pot hole ridden roads.

Recently rented a fairly new sportage which had the ambient sounds. I didn't get it. I would imagine all new cars these days come with android auto/apple car play so, assuming you are a normal human being with some sort of music subscription, then you'd have any sound in the world to choose from. I just think adding some features to these car systems makes it unnecessarily cluttered...how many people want to listen to rain whilst driving? It's always raining anyway! Don't people want to listen to these sounds when they're sleeping or meditating? Don't think you can do those two things whilst driving 😂

Have a look at the CNN article. Titled "Hyundai and KIA Thefts soar 1000% Since 2020" Hopefully you dont have those problems in the UK as we do in the USA. KIA makes some of the most beautifully designed models on the road.
It's not "all-new", it's an extensive (too extensive, IMO) refresh. IMO, i think the pre-facelift model of this generation was better designed than this one (leave it to Kia to make new cars look worse than the ones they replace), but I believe that the third generation was the best one for people who don't take their SUVs offroad. Understated looks, simple interior with adequate tech, and less complicated, more reliable engines and transmissions.
Its more a face-lift, looks too much the same as the last.

Very professionally done, but please forget "cars" like this shiny piece of junk and stick to the proper cars that the majority of us can afford Most people wouldn't want one if they could afford it. I like the old format, with you moaning about the state of the tyres and the stink of somebody else's armpits.
Nothing at all wrong with this - but it's not for me, and for me, this isn't you. It's not why I watch your channel. If you are looking to diversify the content, I would much rather see videos of things like wheels going through the whole refurb process, your phantom mechanic working on the cars and Jimmy the paint guy preparing, painting and finishing bodywork. That would all be comfortably within the HPA 'ecosystem'. Hate that word these days.

Yeah I agree. This guy is spot on but if this was on Facebook it would have #ad in the blurb. But it's all good for his CV. Deserves to be seen by a wider audience.

6:20 That fingerprint sensor might sound really high tech and modern but cars have had them for years; my 2003 Audi A8 has a fingerprint sensor, and that car was made in November of 2002, over 21 years ago.
Most technology in cars have been around for decades. The only change is that it gets less bulky and is more elegant to use.
Yes that is usually how it works. It appears first in luxury cars like your A8 and then the regular cars get them 10 20 years later

I owned a Kia. Best paintwork of the cars I owned. The interior was very durable. It had it's issues, but the dealership fixed it with a smile every time.

@@eferrari Gasoline direct injection. It has been said that this system gives excessive carbon build up. However I drove 110.000 km without a problem. Then a friend of mine bought it, and drove it up to 250.000 km. Mitsubishi had a lot of problems with this engine design
This is the first HPA video that I havent enjoyed sadly. Didnt like the format. Your videographer has jumped on the bandwagon of filming you looking into and talking to a different camera which I hate and has been done to death by loads of other channels. Also too much chopping of cameras which was distracting. It appeared very scripted and not authentic like your normal videos. Love the channel other than this video though 😊

Personally I love the mix of content you are providing. Of course the original format and content will always be the fave in the rotation but that doesn't mean other stuff isn't more than welcome.

I think the car, and all mummy focused SUVs are pug ugly and are a pain in the hole because most pricks can't park a normal sized saloon or hatch back or carparks are a joke now, but fair play for switching up the content and branching out, quality of production always getting better.

Personally I'm not a fan of you doing these adverts. I'm close to feeling cheated. You do them as well as most presenters but they in no way play to your strengths or originality. Yes being invited to do these is a marker of your success, but I think you should plough your own furrow.
How many pieces of silver did they pay you to do this advertisement. Not the usual HPA content.
