awesome setup ! btw, as someone who used Uplift desks commercial at home, i can swear by what he says. that extra stability really helps. The taller you have stuff mounted, the worse the amplitude gets and so having that commercial with the cross bars really helps. Also, it gives a higher range of height especially going to the minimum height and that really works if the desk is shared between folks with various heights.
Jesus Matt, your technique, OCD, and procedure of diagnosing a product for an ultimate revision and setup is honestly mind blowing. I can’t imagine how far you can take each product or industry you touch over the next few years. Keep the great ideas coming until I can afford your next dream build.
Its called the twin because of the 2 mic preamps, you can get them with a duo or quad DSP chip . I know your a big Dynaudio fan but you should audition some of the Neumann monitors; they measure flat if you are focused on extremely accurate audio reproduction.
Have the same desk legs on a custom countertop, 10/10 would recommend. The weight capacity is crazy. I'd be interested to know what cable management tray was used. I tried to find a good solution and 90% of them are horrible.
Hey Matt, great video. Somehow I just stumbled across this and didn't catch it when it was originally released. I'm actually surprised you didn't opt for the UPLIFT Desk Modesty Panel with Wire Management. It would still have given you the ability to do cable management but add a more aesthetically pleasing touch, in my opinion. I also noticed the height of the monitors is quite a bit below eye level and I imagine you had ergonomics in mind considering the chair that you're sitting in (looks like a Herman Miller Aeron?). Again, excellent video! I use an UPLIFT Desk myself (72" x 30") with a four monitor setup for work, gaming, and content creation. 😀
If you want to go down the rabbit hole of desks/office stuff, Have a look at what is possible when it comes to 'desk computers' (not a typo for computer desks, I mean desks with a built in computer in them), from channels like DIY Perks, or Linus Tech Tips. Not saying such things would be suitable for this client, but the rabit hole is there, if you want some ideas and insperation for what an 'obsesed desks' project could look like.
Sweet set up. Inspiring me to make some tweaks. But for such high end audio, the room is going to need sound reflection and other sound capture. I WFH in tech and had to do a ton of panels to knock down the echo in my office. But some serious wire envy here.
Nice setup! A few years ago I went big and built a similar setup. My desk is from Room and Board and is their "Portica" line (now discontinued). Made in the USA! Stainless steel base on 5/4" solid walnut top. I decided to go with 36" depth for the main desk and 30" for the L portion. Having a 36" depth is VERY nice. Keeps the monitors at a good distance with plenty of room for your keyboard and arms (and elbows) to rest on the desktop. I went with Dell Ultrasharp IPS displays which are now outdated I think. But I believe the Dell Ultrasharp displays are still very highly rated. For example, the current 27" Dell Ultrasharp displays are $1600 each. And 32" version is $3750 each! Too rich for my blood!
Good setup. Depending on customers usage maybe they are looking to turn one monitor towards another user. Personally those monitor bezels would drive me crazy if I was the only looking at the monitor. Look at replacing both monitors with one large ultra wide monitor for example Dell UltraSharp U4021QW monitor would clean this setup even further.
Thanks for the detailed info, your desk videos have provided a lot of inspiration for my standing desk set-up. Did you end up getting the Razer dock? I'm curious about how to get digital audio from a MacBook to a DAC or controller when using a dock and external display.
I like the OWC doc. It's the one I'm using at home. eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/TB4DOCK/?PMax:+Docks+(Smart+Shopping)+US&hsa_acc=9360794409&hsa_cam=17545633618&hsa_grp=&hsa_ad=&hsa_src=x&hsa_tgt=&hsa_kw=&hsa_mt=&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gclid=Cj0KCQiAqOucBhDrARIsAPCQL1Z0QBxVs2kWlSwrsRoCs2FXdQM0MoR2Wh-HmSZSdvZw49TjhrRrEXYaAn2oEALw_wcB
I've had a few Brydge back when they were called Henge Dock. I've found that they cost quite a bit and won't accept new Macbooks, so need to rebuy every time you get a new one.
Great setup very clean. In the future I would suggest looking at the Focusrite Scarlett line of interfaces. The UA Apollo is really designed for a mobile studio the DSP chips are used to offload the processing of their plug-in’s not the DA/AD conversion. It kinda seems like you did little research and just bought the most expensive small form factor interface you could find.
I have two or three Solos, 2i2, 4i4, and an 18i8 from Focusrite. I am very familiar. I like having Thunderbolt connectivity the Apollo provides. I started using the Apollo solo after this desk build.
nice setup but the background photo looks mid. I know its your gt3, but seriously? Take the car outside and snap some better pics instead of under the ugly LED LIGHT
I’m bothered that you have this great looking setup but just have the same image on both screens for the wallpaper, instead of something that spans both screens
This is why I love this channel: not just cars but everything cool in between
You might be surprised how much interest there might be out there. Keep these coming.
Sick setup. As always, the entire concept as a whole is incredible!

Uplift desks are not good.
I’d love to hear more about what you used underneath for cable management from zip times/straps, to loom, to power strips.
Linked in the description, mostly generic amazon cable ties and wire management stick ons. Power strip is the uplift one.
You should become a yellowtec distributor. I would 100% buy from you for my company!

I really dislike how flat frequency response speakers sound. I tend to prefer the character that Dynaudio provides in their crossover tuning.

I’m looking for what’s used underneath the desk too 😁
Agree, the cable management setup there is really nice
You should check out ultra wide monitors.
I love my 49"
I have them. I like these much more.

Awesome desk setup.
$$$$$$
Great setup. Any chance you could update the links for the Yellowtec components. Most do not work.
Sick

Those guys are dismissed because they don't know what to do with cables and or know much about audio.
Lookin good brother, that cable management is to DIE for.

The near field monitors help a bit, but we have GIK Acoustics panels coming for this room.
And GIK is what I used as well. Nice!
Love Matt but damn if he doesn’t talk it to death on every video ! Lol 😂
I'm in love with Black Walnut that's what kind of desk I'm having custom made

What brand are those very nice cable sleeves you used?
I didn’t see something like a Cloud Lifter for the Shure SM7B. Does the Apollo have enough gain for that microphone without one? Thanks!
Mouse: Logitech MX Master 2S / Monitor: Samsung 49" Widescreen
Nice job on the wiring Bryce. Super clean.
This guy is beyond obsessive
Forgot about the amazing chair!
Random question, but what do you recommend for an "office chair" and "office chat mat" to project the floor?
I just bought a glass Vitrazzi for the floor and a Stressless chair to test out.

Personally those monitor bezels would drive me crazy if I was the only looking at the monitor. The problem is that those monitors are not nearly as good as these.
I actually bought the upliftdesk a couple of years ago based on your recommendation and I love it.
With all that and no Sony Alpha 1 + 50 mm GM 1.2 glass? Hehe. Enjoy the setup.

@@ObsessedGarage thanks! Have you looked at the Brydge ProDock at all?
I've had a few Brydge back when they were called Henge Dock. I've found that they cost quite a bit and won't accept new Macbooks, so need to rebuy every time you get a new one.
@@ObsessedGarage thanks, good point about compatibility with future purchases!
A little late, but I think it would be awesome if you got into desk stuff.
Wow the USA supply chain is struggling when everything I click on is “Currently unavailable We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.”
So, is that countertop not part of the uplift desk option? Is this a custom countertop? That thing must be heavy as heck.
It's a custom top.
I think Matt mentioned the camera was a Sony A6300, what lens did you choose?
I think it has a 14mm fixed on it.
Glare from lights? Looks like this would get old after a while with them in background.
Nothing gets my OCD going like two monitors that won’t ever line up perfectly on the bracket, one of the worst things going on in my life right now….

Don't be a dick.
What are the killer speakers for, to really hear the folks on a conference call? Really hear the bass in their voice?
Music?
Which isoacoustic stand fits on the Dynaudio emit 20?
The 7.8" x 10" amzn.to/3nStXUi
Now you need a better keyboard.
Where can I find those speaker stand?
They're IsoAcoustics stands. Can be found on ebay/amazon, basically any audio store.
Did you guys consider the Pro Display XDR? 🤔
We did.
@@ObsessedGarage Okay 🙂

Samsung curve monitor FTW
I have one at home, but the quality is a bit week in comparison to these.
Nothing crazy here at all. Been doing this kind of work for years with 3 and 4 monitor setups. 40 hour to cable is excessive

Idea: one nice studio side profile shot of the GT3 against a black background. The car would be long enough to span 2 monitors
