I don’t own an acoustic how is it harder to do tremolo?

A few things.
1. String material (Acoustic uses steel instead of nylon strings)
2. The thickest of the string (the acoustic steel strings are v thin compared to the thicker nylon. See string guages)
3. Nut width (Classical is wider which gives more string spacing)
