It's simply breathtaking! Hard to touch my guitar after watching... I dread the day Marcin gets together with Mike Dawes and Luca Stricagnoli - I think I wouldn't be able to survive that guitarquake...
According to Marcin’s Instagram stories this morning he’s back in Chicago working with Rob again. The two of them had such amazing chemistry in this video. I cannot wait to see what they’re up to this time.
The most impressive thing about this is his ability to articulate and have clean conversation while executing the guitar playing. It really goes to show how second nature the playing has become. Beautiful virtuosity exemplified.
Here's my take. I'm late 60s - loved both Jimi's(Hendrix & Page), Carlos, Eric, Duane, Beck, Kieth and so on. I've always loved talented and unique guitarists. I have an outdoor type skill I've been at for 45years and am considered an expert by many (5000+ days at my craft) and when those with little experience question me I can't help but ignore there uneducated opinion. I feel any haters or doubters are commenting with jealousy and no understanding. This young man is breaking ground and he's been at it for 13 years now - many have played for much, much longer. It's obvious he's put in the work BUT, it's also obvious he's a rare talent - very rare.I visited a Jazz guitar sit to see their totally in denial of this guys ability and I'm sure most have very little. Marcin should be embraced as I'm feeling lucky to watch one the the best guitarists or all time develop - but hey I'm just a silly old bugger.🤗
Marcin studied on Berckley composition and arrangment classes. And profesors from this University said that he fake it when people ask how to play like Marcin. And it is imposible to play like that live sooooo... He heard this from his colleges during his study.
To be honest I ve never seen a group more hated in my lifetime than fingerstyle guitarists. Classical and jazz guitarists keep on preaching orthodox technique, forgetting that the guitar as it is exists for less than 200 years. There is so much room for growth on the instrument. Vera Danilina, only in this decade arranged Rondo alla Turka complète for guitar in capo II. The current generation of guitar players are getting ridiculously good and I see no reason why we can't learn from them. Can you imagine the sound once somebody is able to play Asturias with precursion? Can you imagine what Recuerdos de l Alhambra will sound on a guitar with the scratch thingy the boy added on his guitar? So many exceptional players limit themselves by refusing to delve to new paths.
This guy's a genius, I was skeptical about his videos and how accurate the playing is but apparently he can play those live, really impressive! one of the best newer guitarists for sure
as a classical musucian, , who goes to a lot of concerts (not only classical but also other genres), i have only cried something like twice or thrice in my lifetime of hearing live music. Yet over a casual recording of an instrument i'm not usually interested into, i ended up crying really quickly and unexpectedly. There is just something so powerful about your talent. it hits all the right places, and strums the right strings for me. it's music, you know?
Surprisingly You reminded me, with this post, my thoughts about filling your „sould needs” with something when you’re atheist. And my substitute of god or religion is art. Music as finest art representstive. Can make you in love, crying, „on drugs”, etc like nothing else can. Greetings from Wroclaw, Poland.
It's awesome seeing people that have mastered something so well, that they can joke and talk while performing things that we couldn't even think up. This is so impressive, to say the least
What in the hell! Everything he plays is so clean, that's the really impressive part! It should be impossible to make so many sounds and not a single one is out of time and muted. Watching him play live, with nothing but reverb, knowing there's no editing is even more incredible
He is so gracious sharung his knowledge, lessons learned, etc and giving so much encouragement! Doesn't display ego just love of gis craft. ❤ Such a joy to hear him! Thank you fr sharing this video
Probably the most amazing guitarist I've ever seen, it's not just technique or accuracy, he's so creative and boundary-breaking with the guitar, and the passion in playing makes me smile :) It's difficult to play something like Asturias, but compared to this it's just a matter of practice and overcoming technical difficulty, learning bit by bit... This on the other hand is a "gestaltic" use of the guitar. This man is just on another level.
Very rarely I come across a video that makes me so impressed that my only reaction is to just laugh out loud - this is one of those videos. Marcin is just on a whole different level of talent. I've been watching him for years and I just can't comprehend how he's able to make everything seem so effortless. Doing all his craziness on the guitar while talking about it like it's not a big deal. It's just crazy.
Marcin couldn't be more gracious and genuine. I was actually mindblown at how down to earth, humble yet loving, kind and passionate all the while shredding the living sht out of that guitar in way I could never imagine!!!
It's already been said in the comments but yeah I was a bit sceptical watching Marcin's videos - I was like this guy is an amazing guitarist but is he maybe multi tracking etc. This video has shown me he is 100% legit. What an incredible musician and player. Rob thank you for show casing Marcin and filming such an in depth video, I love the sincerity of it; you as an incredible musician learning and being so humble. Kudos man!
19:30 is easily one of the coolest live music things ive ever seen... the way rob catches on to the new right hand pattern marcin is doing, and marcin improvises that polyrythym thing over rob is just insane.
Far out .. loved him from the first time seeing and hearing him! So impressed, NEVER seen a guitar played like he can,. i didn't even know it could be! And for those hater's, if I could work a guitar like that, i would be so proud of myself and would come across the same.
The broken fingernail which ended the video shoot was a touch of grace; I mean, grace sanctifies nature and perfects it; or, as we are given to understand, what makes prodigy exceptional is that its greatness still inhabits human fragility, our common talent!
I saw Marcin in Jareds shred collab and was shocked how cool his part sounded. Cause I'm usually not a big fan of percussion on a guitar because I hear a lot of times that people just play the guitar and tap on the body every now and then. It just feels like they're doing the percussion for the sake of percussion and not because it fits the song. He's so good and you can tell how excited he was lmao
I thought Tim Henson, Ichika Nito, Mateus Asato, Manuel Hernandez, the likes of those guys are the top of the food chain rn. Until I'm listening Marcin. Holy God this guy is unbelieveably amazing, and how young he is. Idk his ceiling gonna be in his 30s.
I view them as all equal. Tim is a legend in his own right, with an ELECTRIC Guitar and HIS style. All of those guys including Marcin are the future of guitar and music, and I don't place any of them above the others.
Marcin is talented and polished, some other Fingerstyle greats are Don Ross, Andy McKee, Antoine Dafour, Luca Stricagnoli . . . . he plays a three necked guitar
I've been playing guitar for 16 years, and I've gotten good enough to the point that most of the guitar youtubers feel more like peers to me than people that will actually out perform me. Rob Scallon is one of the few people that I think that I'll look up to for the rest of my life, and Marcin is someone I don't think I could ever surpass either. The skill and passion flowing from these two practically emits light it's so strong.
There is something about just getting together...with no plan...and just having a jam session together....that improv was just awesome......thank you both.
Marcin's philosophy surrounding his instrument as well as his practice are super simple yet obviously effective. It's so nice to here him speak about his art.
Rob has always been such an idol to me for guitar, but it's hilarious to me the way the two of them look in the same setting. Rob is a fantastic musician, no question. But Marcin has absolutely mastered the instrument in a way that not only defies but completely redefines guitar as its been known. What a fascinating video.
Honestly, this is the most mind-blowing guitar based video I've seen in the longest time. I've just discovered Marcin and I've had a lot of rewiring to do. He has upped the game so much.
This video solidified my opinion on Marcin. I thought he was gimicky when I first saw him, but he is obviously very talented. Gonna watch more of him now.
I watched this specifically to see how he does all the things I’ve seen in his videos. It was hard to believe he was able to do it all at the same time with only two hands. Wow!!! Super impressed. The guitar world is in great hands with some of the younger guys coming up today. The originality is simply amazing.
I love how we are truly living in a guitar Renaissance with players like Tim Henson, Scotty Lepage, Tosin, Ichicka and Marcin. They are all taking guitar to the next level and pushing the instrument forward in their own ways
Marcin teaches his techniques and breaks down his compositions and arrangements on his Patreon. Not exactly a private lesson, but pretty close. He also does lives every month and people can come on and play and he will help them with things they’re having problems with. He’s just the nicest guy ever.
I think people dont realize how good Marcin is and I would consider him the best guitarist in the world by a long shot. this lesson was great as I play fingerstyle and flamenco but also like the country style stuff and blend it all together when writing.
Marcin has such a thorough musical education that he can play anything and in any style on any instrument. Add to that diligence, incredible musical talent and stage personality and on top of that he is a wonderful, charming and contactable person what more could you want. This boy has it all and there is no way he won't have a worldwide career. It is simply written for him because such talents are born once in a generation, or maybe even less often.
The way his mind works is just as fascinating as his guitar playing. Innovation and creativity is the mark of a true master. He's a great teacher too! Very interesting video.

Yes DITTO🥰
It's simply breathtaking! Hard to touch my guitar after watching...
I dread the day Marcin gets together with Mike Dawes and Luca Stricagnoli - I think I wouldn't be able to survive that guitarquake...
None of these comments on how insane this dude is even do him any justice. Truly one of a kind.
He’s a classical trained guitarist that got very very bored with keeping it as it should.
Good on him for breaking out
According to Marcin’s Instagram stories this morning he’s back in Chicago working with Rob again. The two of them had such amazing chemistry in this video. I cannot wait to see what they’re up to this time.
Woow
I must say the chemistry between Rob- Marcin and Marcin- Ichika is great.
Hope they will make few songs together.
It feels unreal to see him actually play like that live, with no edits
Marcin is a musician, he is a gitarist, he is a professor, he is a genius
This guys plays his guitar as naturally as he breathes. Every motion is just natural and free flowing.
yes ,' ''as naturally as he breathes''...he IS music... nothing separate and with pure joy! 💖💖💖 kudos Marcin ~ best wishes Dalzenia Artist4Peace
You know you’ve made it when Rob Scallon himself tells you “You’re so good at guitar” Congrats man!
This guy's a genius, I was skeptical about his videos and how accurate the playing is but apparently he can play those live, really impressive! one of the best newer guitarists for sure
He's not just playing that guitar, he has a mad, passionate love with it!
as a classical musucian, , who goes to a lot of concerts (not only classical but also other genres), i have only cried something like twice or thrice in my lifetime of hearing live music.
О, вы плакали от восторга))?
A true genius,wow,and a beautiful human being 🙏
It's awesome seeing people that have mastered something so well, that they can joke and talk while performing things that we couldn't even think up.
This is so impressive, to say the least
I'm old enough to remember when Les Paul was a legend. Marcin leaves him in the dust.....
What in the hell!
Everything he plays is so clean, that's the really impressive part! It should be impossible to make so many sounds and not a single one is out of time and muted.
Watching him play live, with nothing but reverb, knowing there's no editing is even more incredible
Marcin is incredible. He's so talented, and I started following his videos several years ago. What a God-given talent.
Marcin hears and feels music very differently than most of us.
Marcin has no frames or borders in his brain, that's why he's so innovative.
He is so gracious sharung his knowledge, lessons learned, etc and giving so much encouragement! Doesn't display ego just love of gis craft. ❤ Such a joy to hear him! Thank you fr sharing this video
Sorry for the typos. 😮
. There are 3 dots to the right of your post. When you see a typo, hit them and choose
'edit''.
Rob please bring on Marcin more again on the channel, really like your guys jams!
You should check Alexander Misko, Jon Gomm and Luca Stricagnoli. If you don't already know who they are you will enjoy their works as well.
@@7opher619 thank you for the recommendations, I will check them out!
Kudos man!
he does occasionally process some of his audio but only for effect, he can definitely play
19:30 is easily one of the coolest live music things ive ever seen... the way rob catches on to the new right hand pattern marcin is doing, and marcin improvises that polyrythym thing over rob is just insane.
18:30 lovelyy
Far out .. loved him from the first time seeing and hearing him! So impressed, NEVER seen a guitar played like he can,. i didn't even know it could be! And for those hater's, if I could work a guitar like that, i would be so proud of myself and would come across the same.
I can't believe some people hate this kid. I love Marcin's playing. He's crazy good and so young still.
Really? People hate him?😮
@@ayandey137That's normal, it's just more apparent when you're known by many people. You can't make everyone like you.
@@ayandey137i didn't see any haters, too. Sometimes i think it's made up stuff to produce some legendary. Whatever
Good grief. Why hate? I hate that I can’t play beyond GAD level but love that there are people in the world who can play EPIC level x infinity!
Don't see any hate. He's quite lovable, in addition to being brilliant.
The broken fingernail which ended the video shoot was a touch of grace; I mean, grace sanctifies nature and perfects it; or, as we are given to understand, what makes prodigy exceptional is that its greatness still inhabits human fragility, our common talent!
Could not agree more brother.
This kid might just be the greatest guitar players I've ever seen
GOAT
He's not a kid anymore. He is 23 years old.
@pajaneitor-hj3it I'm sure he can play boring camp fire hits you love as well 😈
I agree.
He is great im a guitare player myself and wow he is a genius
I saw Marcin in Jareds shred collab and was shocked how cool his part sounded.
Cause I'm usually not a big fan of percussion on a guitar because I hear a lot of times that people just play the guitar and tap on the body every now and then. It just feels like they're doing the percussion for the sake of percussion and not because it fits the song. He's so good and you can tell how excited he was lmao
That was the first time I'd seen him as well. He ended that shred collab with something that I wouldn't have thought possible on a guitar.
I've been a fan of Marcin since he was a kid, never heard him speak! 🤯 He is an actual prodigy!!!
Marcin plays guitar the way it's supposed to be played...A musical Genius!!!
An absolute wholesome video.
2 humble musicians nerding out over an instrument they both love and enjoying every second of it
I thought Tim Henson, Ichika Nito, Mateus Asato, Manuel Hernandez, the likes of those guys are the top of the food chain rn. Until I'm listening Marcin. Holy God this guy is unbelieveably amazing, and how young he is. Idk his ceiling gonna be in his 30s.
Marcin will eat those other guitarists you mentioned alive.
Marcin is above them. Is just insane
Just wait for him to find out playing simple is the real deal :D
I've been playing guitar for 16 years, and I've gotten good enough to the point that most of the guitar youtubers feel more like peers to me than people that will actually out perform me. Rob Scallon is one of the few people that I think that I'll look up to for the rest of my life, and Marcin is someone I don't think I could ever surpass either. The skill and passion flowing from these two practically emits light it's so strong.
He’s actually quite humble and just really loves music. I feel like that’s rare these days. Cool collab.
There is something about just getting together...with no plan...and just having a jam session together....that improv was just awesome......thank you both.
There is nothing like this guy. Hands down the best acustic guitar player ever. I am blown away.
Rob, you have done so much to make Marcin more popular, recognizable and credible. So many people didn't believe he was real... Thx a lot
Marcin's philosophy surrounding his instrument as well as his practice are super simple yet obviously effective. It's so nice to here him speak about his art.
other guitarists: we gotta think outside the box!
Marcin: what box?
😭
"I haven't seen a box, but check out this guitar"
Honestly, no box, no boundaries
a heart-shaped one
Rob has always been such an idol to me for guitar, but it's hilarious to me the way the two of them look in the same setting. Rob is a fantastic musician, no question. But Marcin has absolutely mastered the instrument in a way that not only defies but completely redefines guitar as its been known. What a fascinating video.
It was incredible watching Rob in awe of his playing, and it's hard to impress Rob. Marcin is absolutely out of this world.
What a beautiful talent this young man has...and he seems like a beautiful soul.
I love how we are truly living in a guitar Renaissance with players like Tim Henson, Scotty Lepage, Tosin, Ichicka and Marcin. They are all taking guitar to the next level and pushing the instrument forward in their own ways
A private lesson with Marcin is something that many people would kill for. You're so lucky, Rob 🎼
Marcin teaches his techniques and breaks down his compositions and arrangements on his Patreon. Not exactly a private lesson, but pretty close. He also does lives every month and people can come on and play and he will help them with things they’re having problems with. He’s just the nicest guy ever.
Ahaha😂
Wow. I thought Mike Dawes was one of a kind...... I was wrong. This kid is stellar. Much respect.
I think people dont realize how good Marcin is and I would consider him the best guitarist in the world by a long shot. this lesson was great as I play fingerstyle and flamenco but also like the country style stuff and blend it all together when writing.
He plays like he’s the entire band! You can watch 3 guys playing together to make the sounds he does.
Marcin is a machine. He doesn't get anything wrong. Everything is perfect and clean.
So natural and fluid. Pure joy to see his music! Respect from Romania. New fan.
How humble both you are. And such an inspiring video. Thanks.
Such a fun interview! As if Marcin's talent wasn't enough - he's really a nice, well spoken, and generous kid (anyone under 25 yrs old is a 'kid' to me 🙂) Thanks for having him on Rob.
lol yesI am 70 and totally smitten by what a beautiful gifted sweet soul he is SOooo glad I got to be here as he shares his musical joy!♥♥Dalzenia Artist4Peace🎨
This guy puts litterally everyone else on guitar to shame. He's SUPERNATURALY TALENTED.
Have never seen Rob so out of his element. Marcin is something else entirely
