Hated living in Florida, until I started fishing. Going to the shore and being able to catch dinner for the week pretty much any time of the day really made me grateful for this place again. Do you have any good recommendations for bait for surf fishing a pompano rig? I've been using frozen shrimp but they kinda suck at staying on circle hooks in choppy waters. Thinking about switching to some kind of small baitfish, but not sure what I should use.
The easiest way to tell a Lane snapper from a small Mutton snapper is to look at the anal fin. If it is pointed it is a Mutton and must be 18 inches, if it is rounded it is a Lane.
