Hi Kenny another great vid, Ive just completed a truck build using a little pantech truck, still a ways to go and wish we had your winters here in Oz. Had a bit of snow in my area (Orange NSW) but hardly any. Was going to say, another way of cooking your chook is butterfly it. I usually do niblets or steak when away but have started using butterflied chickens from butcher which come already marinated. Looking forward to more vids without the snow ..but it sure does add to the landscape Cheers
Hay Nave, I had a few other comments suggest I try butterfly the chicken. I'll give that a shot. Last weekend we finally melted the last of the snow and I found a National Forest with a few logging roads open. I was able to make the first dispersed camping video of the season. I finished editing last night, it will be dropping in about 10 hours. Have fun with the new build. It would be cool to hear where you take it.
I agree with others comments, I look forward to winding down each evening watching at least a couple of your videos. I enjoy the adventure of them and that you endeavor to be as close to nature as possible. Keep up the great work! Safe travels
Your videos give me peace..so relaxing and you have such a good positive attitude and real with us. I love the new lanterns on the back of the truck. Nice solar battery you have there running coffee maker. I love mine~ and the portable frig I have plugs in and runs it amazing. My frig is not working in truck camper and they replaced it with a portable air conditioner which I won't be using very much. I like the new paint on the Jack's. Have you tried the impossible burgers on the campfire? I'm vegan and they are very good. Nice change for ya 😉😁 p.s. I did get concerned when you were off so long but figured you needed a break. I pray you don't burn out cuz we all love your vids!!!! Happy Camping Kenny!!!
I really appreciate how you comment on all the videos! Thanks for your concern as well. I was working on the Jeep Wednesday evening, it was lonely without Hanna by my side. She is missed every day. I worry about burning out sometimes as well. But I realized camping on the weekend is what gets me through the work week. With that said I will keep bringing the camera and taking you guys on these weekend excursions. It's funny you mention the impossible burger. My brother and his family eat vegan. He has tried to show me how tasty it is. My brain recognizes the benefits of eating vegan, but my belly won't allow it. Lol
Id like to second the comments of others, for some reason your camping videos bring me peace after a busy work day, thanks again for bringing us virtually along! Your video editing is great, the chicken in the fire part was incredible.
Great videos Kenny! Watching your videos makes me kick myself for getting rid of my Lance camper. I did the tent thing, then an RV Class A, then an off road trailer. But that camper was a jack-of-all-trades. There are pros and cons. I think at the end of the day the pros out weight the cons.
Thanks for the comment Eric. I started with a tent. After years of waking up with wet sleeping bags, tent full of condensation and a sore back I stepped up to a truck camper. I've owned a number of them the last 25 years. I absolutely love how easy it is to pick up and start an adventure. When I was a kid I had forts all over in the woods behind the house. Now that I'm a grown up kid I love having a fort in the bed of my truck. Thanks for watching.
Hay James. I few people have mentioned that technique. One viewer left a link to a video because it's something I've never seen. I'm definitely going to give it a try.
I'll definitely try. I work Monday through Friday. All my videos are recorded on Saturdays and Sundays, rain or shine. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos.
Hey Kenny, unbelievable how much snow has gone in your area and so quickly. And holy moly! What a great looking chicken! Our mouths we watering just looking at it. We are heading out this weekend to a spot we found last year while scouting here in Maine. It's about an hour/half away, It's $5 per person, per night. No power or water. It will give us a chance to try out some of the upgrades I've done so we can do more boondocking etc. Thanks for taking us along, looking forward to next week and maybe some mid week videos. Eric and Karal Oh! And we love the outside lanterns. Nice touch!!!!
Kenny your videos were a small part of my Wife and I finally going for it and relocating from Kansas (not great outdoors opportunities) to the Northwoods. We had a door open to the Grand Rapids area last year and took it. Love it up here in Itasca Co, and looking forward to the relatively short drives to the North Shore, Voyageurs, BWCA, northern WI, and the UP. No TC yet but it’s in the works. Already have the 1 ton, bought for that purpose. Your channel and videos keep racking up more and more follower and views over the months and years! Awesome! Next thing you know you’ll be rolling around in a brand new truck with a new Northern Light or something sitting in the bed! Anyways… have a good one!
That is so awesome to hear! Some of my favorite dispersed camping spots are in Itasca County. I dont know about that new truck and camper. I just beat the heck out of the rig getting into a dispersed site tonight. I'd be worried about taking 100k setup back here. I'm one of those guys who will drive the wheels off the truck before I get rid of it. Lol I really appreciate all your kind words. I dream one day to have more time to dedicate to the channel. It's nice to hear you think the dream is a possibility.

Thanks for watching all the way! I'm thinking that maybe one day Mandi will agree to be on the channel. Until then I will sneak her in as much as I can get away with.
I'm gonna start focusing on that. I try so hard to make them longer. It's funny because Sunday morning, I was thinking I had enough footage for a 25-minute video. But when I start editing, it only turns out to be 15 to 16 minutes. I with I hard more time to record. I usually start recording Saturday afternoon and head back home Sunday morning. My dream is to one day make content for TH-cam full-time. That would be awesome. Then, I could step up my recording and editing skills to make truck camper/travel documentaries. Until then, the majority of my time belongs to my Monday through Friday job.

I'm no cook, but watching you tie up that chicken made me think you were taking it hostage. Of course, I'm certain it was delicious after all was said and done.
No, unfortunately, not yet. I do want to study for the test. I only transmit on the FRS frequencies. I had a nice set of GRMS radios. I let a couple use them while out camping last year. They walked off with them. The Boafengs are cheap but effective, I use them primarily to monitor the weather channel.

We vacationed last year and took our trailer to Mackinaw City. We stayed at the KOA. Quiet until the last day, some biker rally started. We went the first week of June. We took a day trip to the UP. We saw both upper and lower falls in Tahquamenon Falls State Park and we went to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Lighthouse on Whitefish Point. They had the bell of the Edmond Fitzgerald which sunk not far from there. I thought there would be more of it there but it was a small exhibit. Most of the museum was other ships that sank. Very cool to see it. In the 1800’s there were over 2000 freighters on the Great Lakes. Today there is just over 500 since the ships are much bigger. Great video!
I'll have to make my way over to Michigan. I love history, especially the history of Lake Superior. Thanks for watching and all the comments. I appreciate how involved you get with the channel!
It's called Fast Fire. They come in a box of 18 starters. I buy them at Cub Foods. Thay are 5 bucks and some change. The wrapper starts fast, and that little gell block burns super hot. It also lasts a long time. You can see they have no problem getting those split logs going with ease.
U worry something happens a lonely tent by itself. That happen blm land, the tent was there with every camping gear u can think of. Come to fi d out the husband rushed his wife to the nearest hospital in Arizona.
I just unmothballed my truck and camper from winter storage. The truck has issues so I unloaded my AF992. First project was to replace the fuel level sensor. That was a stinky, messy job but I accomplished it last Friday. Next was to replace a glow plug that threw a code: P0674 (cylinder 4) Next was to resurface the brake rotors which are slightly warped from excessive heat. I’m getting ready for my first camping trip, but I don’t know when or where that will be.
I hope the glow plug came out nice. Those can be buggers when they swell up. Sounds like you are going to be set soon. I hope you have a great camping season. Thanks for watching Doug.

Was going to say, another way of cooking your chook is butterfly it. I usually do niblets or steak when away but have started using butterflied chickens from butcher which come already marinated.
Looking forward to more vids without the snow ..but it sure does add to the landscape
Cheers
I appreciate that
Your videos give me peace..so relaxing and you have such a good positive attitude and real with us.
Thank you Dean! I'm glad I can provide a little escape.
I usually split the chicken in half and cook it that way.. Another great video Kenny.
Hay James. I few people have mentioned that technique. One viewer left a link to a video because it's something I've never seen. I'm definitely going to give it a try.
Can you do more videos camping in the rain? Bears?
Eric and Karal
Oh! And we love the outside lanterns. Nice touch!!!!
Awesome, have fun out there! I'm looking forward to putting water in the camper soon. The boondocking season is close!
@@KennyOfAllTrades Yes sir, suppose to be in the mid 60's during the day, 40's at night.
I just love your camper. It IS so cozy. The layout is great too.
Lol
I really appreciate all your kind words. I dream one day to have more time to dedicate to the channel. It's nice to hear you think the dream is a possibility.
2:39 😂 thought you said when I take a 💩🚽
😆
Great video Kenny! Now for everything to turn green! Where are your veggies…😂
Where the vegetables...
I don't eat greens. I eat the things that eat the greens.
@@KennyOfAllTrades 😂
🙄
@@mandib757 I agree, he should eat more veggies! But his response of, “I eat things that eat greens” was pretty funny
Btw I eat things that eat greens and the I eat greens as well…I double the greens when I eat 😂
@@mikegupguthrie-futurenomad7866
You would be amazed at the sayings and things he comes up with. He’s really funny and I like that a little bit is coming through on camera. Good job on double greens, Kenny take note! 🤓
Oh the shore was so windy too!!! Glad to see you stayed inland. Wowsers on that chicken! Yum.
Say, what are you using for fire starter sticks??
They are called fast fire. I pick them up at Cub Foods. They come in an 18 pack for around 5 bucks. They burn super hot, they are easy to light, and they burn for a long time. If you ever see them for sale pick some up. They work great.
@Kenny Of All Trades perfect...we use these brown fuel soaked pressed carboard ones...don't love em. So we'll try yours next time we're near duluth. Thanks!!!
Kenny I get to watch your videos around 🎉4:30 and that looks great. Make me want to try that. I am finally getting out this weekend in my camper. Can't wait 😊
Awesome! I hope you have a great time. Thanks for checking back in this week!
@Kenny Of All Trades Thanks stay safe
Loved It Kenny
I Am Grateful for your Hard Shelled Luxury Camper😅😂 I read that Guys Comment I Usually don't read other Comments But That one Was in my face Funnize😅😂
The chicken turned out delicious looking. Another quick method on a grill is spatchcock. Good video!!
I would've thought it odd to see a tent out in that cold weather, also.
Hope they had a heater in that tent.
So nice of you to save some chicken for Mandi. Hope to see more of her as the weather warms up.
Weekday videos 👍
Thanks for watching all the way! I'm thinking that maybe one day Mandi will agree to be on the channel. Until then I will sneak her in as much as I can get away with.
Keep a box of nitrile gloves with you always , they are a big help in many ways 😊
Beautiful time if year to be out there. And WOW Nice job on the chicken brother! Safe travels
My wife useed to make campfire chicken. She would brush it with garlic, sage butter. I miss that.
Thanks for sharing your weekends with us. Nice videos, wouldn’t mind some longer ones.👍
Nice video, I enjoyed it. I like that kind of weather, too. Keep up the good work.
just came across you channel, love it, looking forward to watching all of your videos, love from Australia
I would be out but my setup isn’t ready. I am itching to get out.
There's not a lot of people out up here. It's nice having empty spots to explore.
I cut my chicken like an El Pollo Loco chicken which seems to work out ok.
I had to check out the recipe. Looks good!
Next time do the chicken spatchcock on the grill. Well worth the extra effort
Hay Dale, another viewer mentioned that as well. I had no idea what that was so he included a video link. I'm definitely going to give it a try.
@Kenny Of All Trades I just heard of it about a year ago. Done it 4 times. All 4 was great
Spatchcock next time.... perfect for over open flames
I had to look up what that word meant. I will give that a shot. It makes sense for a more even cook.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Google a 'large grilling basket' as I think it will be a good addition to your kit. You can spatchcock chicken, fish, etc, It makes fire management easier too.
Love your channel bro.
Thanks! I'm gonna look into that
Always look forward to your videos!!! Do you have a review on that electric bike you have? Maybe in the market to get one.
Check out this video, in it I talk about the bike. I'm really enjoying it the Engwe. Thanks for following along.

Another awesome video! Thanks for sharing your adventures! By chance do you have a link for the ladder rack on the camper?
Thanks Anthony! I threw that together using a grill rack and a piano hinge. I can show it in an upcoming video. I'll give you the link to the grill, it's from Walmart.

@Kenny Of All Trades Awesome thank you! Any kinda storage we can make with these truck campers the better👍
👍✌️
Thanks Man!
I'm no cook, but watching you tie up that chicken made me think you were taking it hostage.
Of course, I'm certain it was delicious after all was said and done.
Another nice quick getaway. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for watching Glen
@@KennyOfAllTrades I am loading up my Palomino for the first outing of the year next weekend. I am absolutely BUSTING to get out!
I noticed the two Baofeng radios. Are you a fellow ham radio operator?
No, unfortunately, not yet. I do want to study for the test. I only transmit on the FRS frequencies. I had a nice set of GRMS radios. I let a couple use them while out camping last year. They walked off with them. The Boafengs are cheap but effective, I use them primarily to monitor the weather channel.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Very good. Yes, a Baofeng does make a nice inexpensive receiver for Wx stations.
Well, I hope to hear you on the air some day! Until, then, keep these great videos coming. I'm enjoying them.

Bet you had to debone that chicken breast to get that top on LO. LI love your videos and you.
should have Mandy, come more often? That was my sister's nickname.
Kenny what are you using as a fire starter?
It's called Fast Fire. They come in a box of 18 starters. I buy them at Cub Foods. Thay are 5 bucks and some change. The wrapper starts fast, and that little gell block burns super hot. It also lasts a long time. You can see they have no problem getting those split logs going with ease.
@@KennyOfAllTrades exactly. I was impressed.
U worry something happens a lonely tent by itself. That happen blm land, the tent was there with every camping gear u can think of. Come to fi d out the husband rushed his wife to the nearest hospital in Arizona.
It's always unsettling seeing that lone tent.
I just unmothballed my truck and camper from winter storage. The truck has issues so I unloaded my AF992.
First project was to replace the fuel level sensor. That was a stinky, messy job but I accomplished it last Friday. Next was to replace a glow plug that threw a code: P0674 (cylinder 4)
Next was to resurface the brake rotors which are slightly warped from excessive heat.
I’m getting ready for my first camping trip, but I don’t know when or where that will be.
I hope the glow plug came out nice. Those can be buggers when they swell up. Sounds like you are going to be set soon. I hope you have a great camping season. Thanks for watching Doug.
Glow plug replacement was a success! I didn’t have any issues removing it. I’ve seen that they can get corroded in place and snap off.
Man! You have to clean that meat whether it's chicken or steak...
C'mon! Buy some jugs of water to clean your meats..
I guess I've never done that before. It makes sense. But I like to live dangerously. Lol
@@KennyOfAllTrades I love your content...
Thank you. I enjoy turning on the camera. Every week I try to learn how to tell a better story with the videos. I'm so grateful to have an awesome group of people following along on the channel. I appreciate you taking the time to watch.
@@KennyOfAllTrades you're welcome! You're one of the best on TH-cam.. keep doing you!
Thanks! I really appreciate that
Absolutely always carry a gun while Camping, whether concealed or open carry.
Be honest. Be kind. Don’t put a creepy solo tent in a mostly empty campground with no cars around. Lol
Lol
Too much music
I appreciate the feedback. The channel is constantly evolving. This video was from a year ago. I have changed up the music selections since then. I'm trying not to have as much background music in the last few months.
Ive always enjoyed your style of camping
