I dont know about anyone else but I like it when channels actually video when they go get parts and stuff, makes me feel like your on the adventure with them instead of feeling like your just stuck in the shop the whole time. Just wondering if anyone else enjoys it. Not saying he doesn't video when he goes places but alot of channels don't.

To prevent making a mess there are 2 must haves for a shop. A large Flat metal pan you can get from the parts house. Put some pig mat or even stay dry on it and then place your drain pan so if you miss one the other will catch it. The second is for rebuilding an engine and it is a plastic drip pan for the engine stand. I purchased mine from Jegs but probably amazon and some others have it as well.

I always leave the manifolds on the motor when pulling. I noticed your hook was in the wrong place on the carb plate. I typically use the front hole so you get more angle. My neighbor always removes his radiator support and brings his out the front. Seems to work really good for him. Good job

Why did your buddy get a 350 to replace the good 350 it already had?

Hey Puddin do you guys realize that the motor has 2 different heads on it. It may cause different flow and compression. Might be something you guys would want to check out

I've been there had a 79 Chevy c20 custom deluxe dash emblem but it was a Scottsdale trim truck including the exterior fender emblems anyway i had went through and changed the valve stem seals and was replacing the valve cover gaskets because it would use some oil now lol. Anyway i started putting my valve covers on my 350sbc and the Dr side head was a 624, and the passenger side was a 462 and this thing was also hard on gas and had almost no power, but it would start right up and never got hot, anyway i made a deal with a buddy of mine on a set of 882 77 Chevy truck heads on a non ac standard emissions truck, and was pulling the head on the Dr side and knew as soon as i seen the small cast piston this was not a 350,so i finished pulling the heads and then scraping the Dr side bell housing pad and then you could clearly see the 140 and i believe it ended in 204 anyway it was a 79 nova 305 2bbl 2 bolt main motor so i acquired a summit racing 1102 cam kit and a set of 416 84 Chevy Monte Carlo SS 305 h.o. 58cc casting heads and seriously woke up that motor, but after that i have always been weary about buying a truck because you just never know if someone just slapped whatever they had on it and put it back together and then sold it as a fairly complete original truck with high mileage though,i didn't get burned too bad i guess but it was a rusted door and bed truck good cab and front clip,i gave $850 for it and it was not even a th400 or a manual shift transmission just a long tail th375b and a 14 bolt 4.11 rear

This was also the same truck i acquired that i have talked about on the channel before as much as i hate headers i had two different brands of cheap headers but it all got switched to junkyard exhaust manifolds and a dynomax 2 1/4 slip fit dual exhaust rear side exit exhaust pipe kit with a set of flow tech red hots glass pack mufflers from Holley.... they were were the 24 inch long case $18 set from Meijer grocery store lol they were cheaper than a set of actual cherry bombs

Hey brother, I’ve said this before but if you will turn that power steering bottle over and fill it that way you won’t spill any… or any jug like that (oil, antifreeze etc) just a thought. My dad showed me that when I was younger and it’s always worked great for me.

Puddin I thought you woulda knowed better! Always use the cork valve cover gasket’s on SBC! Use trim adhesive to glue the gaskets on the valve covers. It holds them in place perfectly and you can take valve covers off and on and not mess up gaskets. Rubbers suck and are sure to leak

You need a parts washer like yesterday man. They sell the cheap ones at Harbor Freight for $150 and you can buy the GOOD parts cleaning solution at tractor supply. The pump is junk but just use an old fuel pump wired to a 12v inverter and you're golden.

Pro tip raise the rear of the vehicle a couple of feet when pulling the motor and trans together with a cherry picker it stops you from having to tilt the motor so much
