It took me ~20 attempts to beat the DoG for the first time, and this man's doing it on one row of platforms less than 60 blocks across, on expert? That's one god that he sure as hell can't devour

@@crmsncrow any items obtained from treasure bags are viable for normal runs due to armageddon, a toggle item that forces bosses to instantly kill you if you take damage. however, in return you are rewarded with 10 treasure bags, even in normal mode.

Did it last night, took a bit of experimenting but all-in-all it wasn't as bad as I anticipated, only 5-6 deaths. And only one kill let me craft a full set of dev melee weapons so I'm pretty happy with the results.

Its a item from a mod that allowes you to craft any potion in the game
Dont really know how its called thru
bottled water + blood orbs, can make any potion in the game, these recipes are added by calamity
I found the way. In my case is different but works. Thanks!
Luiafk mod gives you an ability to craft unlimited potion that you can drink infinitely if that helps

Can somebody explain me how he did that item duplication glitch??
LukasSweater Boi it’s a glitch with the item frame 👍 it’s hard to explain but go look it up on TH-cam
I know it doesn't quite matter really, but you could save a couple seconds by double clicking into the character and world, and hitting enter to input the password for multiplayer when you alternate.
It's really the difference between a few seconds, but I know that can kinda matter for some speed runs.
Also you could reorganize your inventory a bit better to shorten the time doing things like opening crates. Again, doesn't *quite* matter, but still.
The Slime mount also negates most of, if not all, fall damage while also letting you fall much faster.
If it is not apparent, I am edit adding onto this as I watch XD sorry!

yeah i've been trying to just get better at hitting the play button but i should really just double click. reorganizing inventory happens sometimes, just depends, and i could swear i've died a ton of times falling with slimy saddle so i've been too scared to use it lol, i'll look into that. glad you liked it!
See, as a tester I just booted up the game and took all my buff items off to make sure I could take fall damage then used my slime mount to drop from sky island high down to ground and took 0 damage.
I often used the slime mount to go down my hellavator faster, mainly because I have a mod that has infinite buffs and what not, so feather fall is almost always active (which Slime mount fully negates)
So yeah, after finishing the vid and seeing all the rest of the run, it's mainly just the few things you already know about and what not and you could *MAYBE* get sub 3 hours.
It would be hella RNG dependent and you would have to really memorize what items make what, along with having a good item management system.
But I believe you could do it, just from watching you do this sub 4 hour run :)
@@AngelicEternity92 believe it or not we're already attempting sub 3. i got a pb of 3:09:52 on twitch already but will be holding off on uploading until i get the sub 3. i'll try to incorporate the slime mount more often though!
Still trying to figure out how you even did some of the stuff, namely the item frame dup glitch.
Went into multiplayer, tried setting up the chest on the ore, mine out the bottom, placed the work bench, took the chased out, set the item frame down, and when I take up the work bench it takes out the ore and item frame
Even tried with lead bars, same situation.
Edit: I ended up having to utilize the same glitch with a trap door next to it (saw it in a different video). How do you set up the item frame dupe without the stuff next to it?
@@AngelicEternity92 make sure you break the right side of the workbench. breaking the left side will prevent it from assembling properly. additionally, performing the glitch with walls behind you will not work either.
What texture pack is he using to remove the background?
Maybe check terraria options first?
