There's not really much choice as most campers/motorhomes are Ducato (& derivative) based. Add on a seat swivel and Remis blinds and those of us over a certain height face an ergonomic challenge - Tempted to get a massive truck next time for better windscreen viz.
Hello Crafties, cab comfort is soooo important. Even if you try two different Fiats, the seats can be different in each. We love the manufacturers that dress their stands to make their products stand out 👍🏻 Layout and tryout is great advice. Driving licence and lessons a definite winner 😃👍🏻🚐 See you both soon 💙 Trev n Sue
The better the cab, the fresher you are at the other end of the trip. Some of the stands had a great deal of effort put in, which was appreciated. Plenty of driving schools are happy for you to book in for a few hours training, a good confidence booster for many would really help folks find the van that suits their needs. Looking forward to December!
We were in two minds about going, but it's just in daytrip range for us, if you don't mind the four-hour round trip... Wished we'd have had a bit more time.
We felt that we'd done enough of the sit on a bench and talk to the camera ones and enjoyed doing it mobile for a change. Haven't yet watched all the videos, but I'd guess the list should be very comprehensive.
Hi Pete and Kaz, lovely seeing the NEC whilst listening to your considerations, Yes the cab area is a really important consideration, liked that one imparticular, interesting video, take care x Julie and Tony x
It does make the driving experience a little easier, I have heard of dodgy characters removing the wheel and using a set of mole grips as some kind of tiller... We almost rented before our Scotland trip last year.
Thanks very much. It was inspiration from being at the show that made us think of the cab, one day we hope to get an automatic box to make the trip to wherever even less stressful. 😀😀😀
We were there, very briefly, on Saturday morning, a four hour round trip driving the little baby Corsa makes that just doable. Yes, it would have been nice to meet up again :)
I hadn’t even thought about the driving seat positions when we bought either of our vans. Thankfully both have been fine. Take care Gill

I want one of those chairs 😂 Cameo from Aileen 👍
The 'little van' at 5:33 may have such a seat. Aileen is always a highlight of these shows, and out two doggies agree :)

The first video of the NEC I have watched LOL. Interesting tips thank you.

Great idea doing at the NEC show Good advise there hopefully between us we have covered everything

Good call on the seating position, it can really make the difference in a journey! Great video both. Em & Gary 😎
Let's hope the next, next gen Ducato has a bit of a re-think on raising the top of the windscreen out of the driver's eyeline.

We felt that it made a nice change to the two of us on a couch, and the Show was good! Thanks for the interesting topic!
@@CraftyCampervanners you both did an amazing job, thank you so much take care x
And you two !
Lol I hope it as steering wheel. Agree with you about renting a motorhome before you buy.

A shame we missed you at the show, I'm so used to driving different vehicles I never really considered cab comfort. Luckily ours is just fine.
Yes, would have liked to meetup :(. It's a good job most folks are happy with the Ducato or derivative as it's becoming somewhat of a Hobson's choice!
I'd completely forgotten about how important the "cab" area is. Especially as lots of our trips are long distance. Great video as usual.

Aw we missed you, what day were you there ?

Yep the chair was cracking.
Wish we could get one like it in real life :)
