Just realized what you said about having most of your money in a target date fund. I recently changed it to have about 30 to 35% of my money automatically invested in a fund or etf that mimics the S&P 500. I wish I had realized that sooner. That fund has lower fees than the target date fund too.
My 401(k) is for the previous employer so they are not matching right now and I haven’t been adding to it. I need to roll it over I believe to something different maybe a target date fund.
