I’d buy it. Make different ones depicting certain heroes in famous dangerous situations they were able to get out of. Like Luke falling down the shaft in Cloud City or Han and Chewie running into that horde of Stormtroopers on the Death Star. The possibilities are endless.

The first time i played the Star Wars BF2’s Ewok hunt i legit got scared and screamed because all you could hear in the distance was stormtroopers dying and the flashing of blasters firing, until they stopped.

You’re brave, I refused to stay in the canopy. Instead I spent the night in old imperial bunkers. The Ewoks didn’t really seem to go in those for some reason. The one or two that did were easily picked off and used as food. Kind of like take-out without having to order.
Take away the Ewoks plot armor and bring a deep fryer
Love the warning "don't be a hero" Reminds me of how my my Platoon Sergeant in Iraq used the word "Hero" as a derogatory slur for soldiers who did stupid shit in the field! Thanks for the flashback!

When the ambush starts: Immediately gun down the captured Rebels on autofire while they are unarmed (they were disarmed as soon as they surrendered… _of course)._
Then yell for everyone to fall back to the bunker, everyone forms a close perimeter with the Chickenwalkers acting as blaster nest (from the high ground, don't tell Vader that - it's a trigger phrase apparently) and the Troopers covering them.
All your side has to do is prevent the Facility being overrun, not wipe out the enemy forces.
While this is a sound strategy and will help your side achieve victory, how does this help your personal chances? Well, you run in to give a situation report and lock the blast doors behind you or at least get a large group to cover them from inside.
So you run to the main control room and give them a sitrep and recommend they order a fall back to the bunker till the space battle is completely over.
That way you're busy reporting and doing message runs instead of fighting on the front lines against killer teddies and whatever Rebels weren't immediately executed when the Bears attacked.
Hopefully you're also carrying the bag holding all the explosives that were taken off the Rebels, and you volunteer to put them in the weapons locker or some other strong room - the one time that carrying all the bombs is a good idea.
By the time you've finished with all your make work to avoid being arrow bait, the other Stormtroopers have formed a good defensive line and are picking off any Ewoks that breach the clearing, while the Walkers can blast any surviving Rebels that fire energy weapons.
At that point it's a static situation and you wait for the Rebel fleet to be destroyed.
Hopefully a Raider II Corvette will fly over and blast the critters from above, once they've finished their cut scenes.
Then it's finished, you just have to wait to see if the Emperor and his second are still alive.
But you are, and that's what matters.

@Justin Last I did not say or intend the word "exact". - - - After that, you go on to make some assumptions about the specific situation in the movie such as the imperials would not disarm and remove the explosives even though few were set before snooty officer led troops into the bunker from within the structure. - - - And regarding Papa Palp's strategic idiocies? Yeah, he got really stupid, much like a certain micromanaging German politician.

@Justin Last I like arguing. Re: R2-D2 remote detonating, I find that unlikely, as 1) The plan was not to bring the droids down tot he bunker in the first place, and 2) when Han set the charges the second time, he ran out in a hurry fervently waving people away from the bunker, which strongly indicates explosives on a short timer.
@Justin Last it doesn't necessarily require omnipotence, I mean we got taught to watch for feint traps in ROTC (Our teacher had us watch the scene from We Were Soldiers where the platoon get cut off to emphasize the point). Though to the credit of the Imperial Forces, they did have some security elements for their platoon outside the bunker, you can see a few ATSTs patrolling the perimeter. Really they should have had many more troops performing or focused on perimeter security, even not knowing about Ewoks it's possible there are more rebels waiting in ambush, and it's not like they're doing any good standing at attention. That's good practice for any formation of troops in most situations, always make sure you have a security element. While we don't know what the exact orders the Emperor gave are, the primary objective is the defense of the shield generator, scattering into the forest is not going to help you, establish and maintain a perimeter first then start moving units out to assault the enemy.
My other suggestions mostly revolve around the set up of the facility. The bunker needs to be built like a jail sallyport, having the surface blast door controlled is a good start, but having a second blast door before you reach the facility will increase security, let you check who's coming in and if they can breach the door, give you time to move forces into position. Second, there should be a few cameras, drones or other equipment to observe and verify what's happening, a little harder to bluff the door operator if they can see your adorable army waiting.

Use night vision goggles at night! As in modern military grade! Don't forget to use drones to find out the danger zones(include the trees!).

I got a question: Can they just Import a carnivorous Alien species (Similar too the Kroot from 40k) tell them they can have this world as a new home, in exchange they will be exempted from Imperial taxes and be left alone. All they have too due is get rid of the current occupants.

Actually, I went to Endor as well, at one point. I was still a cadet in the New Republic Army, and was training to be skilled at fighting and surviving in forest biomes. My superiors, for some reason, thought Endor would be the perfect place. But it wasn't. It was an absolute nightmare on the moon. Almost every day, we were being constantly ambushed by Ewoks and other horrible predators and disease was at an all-time high. I, like you, cried myself to sleep every night while being tied to a branch in the tree canopies, similar to what happened in the Hunger Games. After about four weeks of pure horror, six deaths, and nine different injuries, we finally left. Now, I'm never going into another forested area again, without pissing my pants.

Another advantage of slug throwers compared to blasters.
Blaster bolt electromagnetic fields are easily disrupted, as soon as a bolt hits a leaf, stem or twig it detonates. Simple concealment becomes effective cover versus a blaster.
Metal bullets can be deflected by thick sticks and stopped by tree trunks but just keep going against against lighter foliage. This allows you to use the environment as concealment and still kill enemies doing the same.

Is "The Moon of Endor" referring to the heavily forested place we saw in the movie or is that the name of a bigger planet that the heavily forested place orbits? Is Endor the moon or the planet the moon orbits?

Taking a knee while firing gives you a better hit rate for a short enemy. Firing down limits your acurracy or chance at a lucky shot. Direct fire means direct fire.
The huge trees can slow down AT ATs...Which is why AT-ST are needed to walk around the trees. However, ewoks can leap from trees to reach open hatches and throw torches into them!
I think you neglected the power of flames, even tho it’s as primitive as the ewoks once it is unleashed nothing can stop it.... unless you have a well prepared defensive location like the shield generator
I'm surprised you didn't mention bringing incendiary weapons like flamethrowers, seeing as the entire environment is flammable. Then there's the added plus, I like my Ewoks extra crispy!

What the Empire should have done to win endor
1. Defoliate the entire surrounding area in a radius of several hundreds of kilometers
2. Level the defoliated forest to eliminate any possible terrain features the Ewoks can use for ambushes.
3. Fortify the entire bunker complex with many layers of defenses and have it fully garrisoned
4. Relentlessly drill the garrison for any and all combat situations to improve combat readiness and responsiveness and to prevent stagnation and complacency

I wonder why the Empire didn't use napalm or napalm like munititons on the forest moon of Endor
That would likely be too much of a risk for the troops in the bunker. Even if the fire itself didn't harm it, the hundred foot trees could fall on it, likely trapping any exits
They could put a 1km no bomb zone around the bunker so ewok (and potentially rebel) reinforcements couldn't reach the fighting
Alternatively, do it before the battle. Make a nice large area of just nothing. So no trees, no under brush, and nice clean lines of sight for several km around your base.
Yes you can't hide your ambush, but why do you need to, if they can't get to your base, you win by default.
The Stormtrooper's should have formed a Wellington square, in that situation...would have been the ewoks Waterloo. Nuff said.
Even though C-3P0 was programmed to know 6 million forms of communication, I found it unlikely that he knew Ewok. But because he did the Rebels were able to negotiate and ally themselves with them. Makes you wonder why the Empire didn't try to do the same thing? .. Like that was the biggest mistake the Empire did was not appease the locals (or simply wipe them out first) before starting their Death Star project on their home world.. Perhaps the first moon of Endor might have been a better location :P ... C-3P0 is often downplayed as an annoying r2d2 sidekick but, without him the Emperor would have successfully crushed the Rebellion .
My point is.. that because C-3P0 knew the Ewok language, then it must have been known throughout the galaxy... and the Ewoks should not have been a surprise to the Empire ... thus the Empire could have maybe built a monument of the Ewoks great Heroes or something to Appease them before building the shield generator on the Ewok occupied territory. It would have made more sense to me if C3P0 had no knowledge of their language and the Rebels won them over some other way... I know its just a fun fantasy story etc... but hey we are analyzing stuff here :D

Legends: the Stormtroopers were extremely disciplined and loyal and had no problem sacrificing themselves they were also extremely harshly Trained and not likely to crack under pressure because of that

you could wear a sort of powered armor to make ewok ranged weapons completely useless with a repeating blaster or machine gun to mow them down but then again you could be overwhelmed

One question I always had with Endor. If Endor is half the size of earth, wouldn't it have half the gravity of earth? Instead of running on Endor you would be more like skipping around? They could also throw things like rocks and grenades twice as far. You could probably easily throw a grenade easily 100+ yards. I would love to play football on Endor! My point is the battle of Endor would have looked more like they were on trampolines than what we saw! Plus soldiers could jump from the top of the trees without the threat of being injured. Hell the rebels could almost jump from tree to tree to get to the station lol.
6:57 Also, when you say infrared do you mean thermal? Infrared and thermal scopes are NOT the same thing. IR imagers cover the lower part of the IR spectrum and do not detect heat differences, while thermal imagers cover the mid and higher part of the IR spectrum and do detect heat differences.
Pro tip for surviving Endor: Don't be an AT-ST driver.

Armor soldiers can't properly move in, barely crouch and are extremely easy to hit given their reflective nature :O)

I have eaten ewok. A curry shop in bangledesh. Its great, like they say. Went back for more then next day but they were sold out. Guess they just had the one ewok. Tried the hutt steak. It was good, a bit gamey. Got food poisoning, sick for three days.
What the Galactic Empire should have done is clear an area 800-1k yards in diameter around the base. With a clear field of fire the Ewoks wouldn't have stood a chance. :3

Is it just a mapped out route or is it built up in any way?
If I’m not mistaken it’s a maped route, you can technically travel without them at hyperspace speed but you might stumble into things you would rather not to (like black holes)

A simple camoflauge maybe significant, get some green spray paint.
It's called shoot those little teddy bears. You have armor and they have rocks, while the teddy bears only have plot armor. In real life say a band of native Americans tried to go to war with the modern military, they would be obliterated in no time. Kevlar can stop a bow and arrow as well as it can a bullet. That was the most unbelievable part of ROTJ and most certainly catered to children exclusively.

Make sure you get collision insurance for that rentals. Ssds are known for having terrible navigational shields

You probably wouldn’t survive the main battle.
Would have had to have been the second Death Star as most pilots were killed in Rogue One including almost all females and the of those the rest were at Yavin and we know how very very few pilots came out of that alive.

Yeah... it was the second Death Star....
Also, the “Phantom” was shown in rouge ones. The ship had its own hyperdrive so it most likely dipped near the end. She also was confirmed to fight in the second Death Star but not the first. Then went on to have a kid. (This was revealed at the end of Star Wars Rebels and it was confirmed that they both survived)
Rex, due to being a clone that ages at x2 speed would have most likely died a few years after Endor of “natural” causes.

Of course this wasn’t intend as the movie was made but they just said “o damn that would be pretty cool” and just made that cannon.

@@slimjim1002 Yeah they had to retcon him in there. Originally the guy had a different name but after the cartoon they made it Rex. I always found this odd as Rex should have died of old age. They never really addressed how his clone aging was stopped. By Rebels he should have been around 80+ accelerated years. Instead he was acting like a fit 50yr old. (reference is half time to age but actual ages show more like 3x rate).

Clones have long lifespans. It is then shortened x2, making it a more normal yet unhealthy sounding lifespan.
They also are extremely fit no matter the age.

If I was the empire I would have cleared the forest around the base made a wall and cleared the forest around the wall set up landmines this way if a ground fight did happen the would have a massive kill zones and be impossible for a undermanned or under equipped

Sadly, no. My squadron and the 3 other squadrons I interacted with didn't have one when I was posted at Endor
