    Thank you for your video, few years after and this information is still relevant. I bought the diaphgram initially and wondered why it didnt work with my raintank. Now i ordered the correct one, will try it once it arrive next week. Regards from Melaka, Malaysia.

    Bought the blue one thinking it could only be used with pressure after not being able to find a gravity fed automatic valve, glad I bought it 👌

      In Australia, you can buy at Bunnings. Maybe you can buy from eBay. Just specify Ball Valve type.

    Hello.. Thank you very much for the video. I would love to know which of the two is most reliable to be used on tap connected to 1.5 Bar water pump. The water out will be for lawn sprinkler.

      Just an opinion; if the source has pressure like typical house faucet, then I would suggest using the Diaphragm type.

    Ball valve is better because it opens and shuts slower thus the water control is more gradual the diaphram valve snaps open and shut givng a sudden blast of water which can cause leakages or blow offs further down the system. More expensive but less problems. Usually there is no identification as to which type is on sale which makes selection very difficult.

    One question please. Can I leave the device fixed in "on" and power it when I want the water to flow and unpower it to shut off the water?

    • @CDOKayakClub
      @CDOKayakClub  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure if that kind of device is available. I use a battery powered device. You are describing a none battery powered device.

    • @maxneves
      @maxneves ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CDOKayakClub hi there, thanks for replying me. Yes, it's battery powered like yours in the video. I didn't buy it yet, but my plan is to power the device using a 3V power source (wired) and I think in putting a switch so in raining days I could switch off the device
      All that because I consider to install the device a bit far so I thought about control the device remotely instead of manually
      Regards from Brazil

      I replaced the Aqualin brand with a Holman brand from bunnings.com.au. the holman is still working, I replaced the battery last February 2024.

    how long the battery life for valve one

    • @CDOKayakClub
      @CDOKayakClub  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how long and how often you set the timer. My settings are 30 minutes/day. I use an alkaline battery. And that's still running in 6 months.

      @@CDOKayakClub great to know that.
      I have a rainwater tank and would prefer to utilise the source from the rainwater tank although I can just use the newly bought “smart” irrigation valve with the usual water tap.
      Soooo.. thanks to your video and i decided to get a ball valve type. Ha ha. Finger crossed 🤞 gonna wait another 2 weeks for it to reach me.
