There is something about this particular song that hits some people. I didn't discover Judas Priest until British Steel came out, but started buying the previous albums right off. Rock-a-rolla was hard to find up in Eureka, CA in 1980 or so., but I finally found it and wore out the grooves on this song. Other Priest fans, even in my own family, weren't drawn to it like me. But I see, I'm clearly not the only one. And gpthos, I love the whistling part! It's perfect!

I discovered Priest by coincidence in 2004. Saw their Breaking the Law music video. Hated the video so much as I thought it was very silly, but got immediately captivated by the tune. One year later I was addicted to Rocka Rolla even before listening to British Steel (& the others.) Run of the Mill was my fav among all the other masterpieces in that record. Once I heard that "have strived for that smth we all have deep inside, but not let it vanish along with yer pride," I fell in love with not only this specific song, but with Priest! The lyrics, as has a fellow commentor mentioned herein, have always made me reflect about the nature of life in general & mine in particular. It has always gave me that sense of absurdity life casts over all of us. Great cover. Loved yer interpretation of that wicked tune-droppong solo. Wish you consider doing a Beyond the Realms of Death cover. Stay safe, Best,
