Your outfits are always so cute
The Invisible Child is one of my favorite Moomin stories. It's so sweet and wholesome, and is a wonderful example of healing from trauma

Her story is so sad, she was mistreated by her caretaker and has become unnoticeable. The bell is to keep track of her 😢

seeing the actual characters was kind of a jumpscare LOL. was half expecting them to be turned into regular sky spirits. they look good tho, horror game vibes tho XD
The first story, or maybe the overall story of the season might be a sky version of the re-telling of the invisible girl's story/Ninny, seeing how it mimics episode 9 of Moomin's 90's quite closely, just cutting things brief and to the point. Adding the extra "creepiness" cutscene will probably enhance and relate players with similar experiences like Ninny. The black and white filter is probably intentional to make the story more gloomy in its looks, and capturing a feeling of being frightened. I have a hunch that the colors will emerge at the finalé for a more impactfull emotional connection.

Also the story is that the invisible child went invisible because she was neglected by her aunt because her birth parents sadly died but it’s still such a sweet story!
When you said hat on a mountain I was instantly reminded of Hobgoblin's hat, in the first episode of the 90's Moomin series Moomin finds the Hobgoblin's hat on the mountain :0 Also at the end of the invisible girl story Tove Jansson wrote "Thanks for making me stop being invisible" so I think that's perfect for a first quest :3 Everything about this is just too cute ToT

They should add a another section in pants where they give us different “textures” invisible/ jet black/ brown/ and future colors or texture they bring in future so we could use them with different outfits
That would be awesome! Outfits do have different shades of skin, sometimes I wish we could mix the outfit with different shade, that would be a nice customisation

The trees reminds me of the forest scene from the two embers and with it being a two part season soon, i can imagine how beautiful it would be ❤

Sky CotL is the _very last_ thing I expected to hear be compared to P.T., but the similarities are definitely there! That area seems so interesting to me!
I also really love the Ninny cape! It's so beautiful. All in all, I'm really looking forward to this season now, even as a relatively new fan of Moomin!!

I think ever since days of fashion arrived, I've had the feeling that sky is getting more "humany", and I really liked the out of this world comfort it gave me before. I miss it :( I stoped playing it because of it, but I still love your videos and I watch them with hope of one day reconnecting with the game.

Im not sure if Im alone on this but I think the invisible girl should be a mask not an outfit. Having it be an outfit is incredibly limiting. And that outfit being the default one I think removes a lot of self expression too. Am I the only one who dislikes that decision?

I like the change 😊 I mean, not everything has to be about you right? I find it nice to look at a different perspective, like hearing a story that sweet Grammy reads to us whilst we drink hot chocolate near the fire place.

My main concern is the loss of actual explorable seasonal areas, especially with the season of duet memories literally being in a void?! Like the shattering void?! The eden void?! Really?! Remember season of dreams? Why is that kind of stuff impossible now, they're earning MORE money than before. The abyss guide backs this up that all of these are just abyss reskins because they aren't actually going to give us new areas anymore

I don't know anything about moomin, but from what I've seen, it seems like Ninny's story is about how children in the foster system are often abused by their foster families
I hope we can visit this area with our skykids too. I want to take pictures there as my character and his outfits, not as a boring butterfly. 🙄 This thing about turning into butterflies or other animals is pretty boring.

Short, basic answer:
This is beta testing for the next upcoming season, so that’s a special outfit they’re adding as one of the seasonal reward items. Nasty did a video recently looking at some of the cosmetics added for testing, where you can get a closer look at it.
Longer, more technical answer:
It’s not anything we’ve really seen in Sky before, far as I know. There’s been transparent items (like the fish cape from Days of Nature event), but I guess since skykids already have a specific base design with it’s own texture, they couldn’t just make skykids be transparent like the capes, the model would just show through. Looks like what they’re doing is an overlay of a different colour onto the model, which they’ve done before with some cosmetics to change the colour of skykids (ex. Days of Rainbow’s dark rainbow pants darken the colour of your skykid). Instead of overlaying a solid colour though, the invisible pants sort of “colour-pick” from the background to make it appear as if you’re invisible, by applying the colour to your skykid’s model overlay. It’s the same sort of function used for the eye dropper tool in art programs, or photo-to-pixel art generators and such.
Sorry, this all probably sounds like me rambling. Hopefully it maybe explained things a little bit at least.

When does this Season start?
I think our current season will end on September 30th (somewhere near that date) and usually there's a 2-3 week break between seasons, so it's safe to say about 2 weeks after duets ends. But do note that nothing is official until announced by Tgc ❤
