I recently bought a Rage RC micro sport cub 400 and it had the exact same problem of randomly pitching over. I calibrated the gyro many times and tried keeping the plane still and level when powering it on but nothing worked. Luckily my local hobby shot took it back no questions asked. I bought a UMX turbo timber instead and it is amazing!! I’m also waiting for my UMX Slow Ultra Stick that I pre ordered back in June.
I dont know if they do but it would be so cool if they sold this in seperate pieces, different motor sizes, color schemes etc. imagne being a first time flyer and, to some extent, building ypur own RC!

Salutations Saylors! You should test this plane without the landing gear, it may fly better without the landing gear, just as you have demonstrated with some other model aircraft. It may be underpowered, and the weight reduction and also the reduced wind resistance may help it fly a little better. The smaller a model plane is, the more perfect it has to be to fly well, and the more power to weight ratio can be a critical factor, in helping it fly better, but the torque of the motor also needs to be factored in also, if it is not angled correctly, it can negatively affect the performance of the plane. I had a UMX Radian that did about the same thing. It would go full right rudder unpredictably and corkscrew right into the ground. It must be that the stabilization units are sometimes defective. Bad luck of the draw.
I think the esc is overheating while fighting the wind. My last plane was a brushed version of this and while it didnt overheat , I fought for 10 mins to get it back to me but because of inexperience it just kept getting further away. Little birds just cant handle any wind at all
The rudder has more authority in the wind. Try using the rudder when the wind takes it. y guess the plane is tail and the only reason it's flying is because of the gyro stabilization. I would put some weight up front and do 15 to 20% of the wind cord for the CG point. I find a lot of these small foamies have that issue which is why in gyro-off mode they get squirrely. The Eachine warbirds with added nose weight can fly without the gyro no problem and are not as twitch. The Mini Mustang set at 10% wing cord CG flies so much better than stock. Same with the Kootai A560 Maule M7 it is way too tail heavy from the factory at 45% wing cord. I put a 1s 700 mah as far forward as I could at 25% wing cord CG which is about a 1/2 inch in front of the wind spar and it was a whole different plane. Will fly smoothly without the gyro. With the Gyro on you would not notice them being very tail-heavy as it can compensate for the control input faster than we can.. When you turn off the gyro it gets squirrely and hard to fly. With the new CG, it flies without stabilization just fin, and can fight the wind better. Trust me, take one of your older minis like the AK or Eachine Warbirds and adjust for 15% wing cord CG and you will be impressed. Anyways. It's always great to see you two having fun and laughing while making the videos. You two rock!
If you stop and look at your video frame by frame, you will start to understand what's wrong with this plane. The left aileron is drooping a lot of the time even in straight and level flight. And when you are getting it even a little slow, it's stalling the left wing. With the left aileron down, the camber/angle of attack of the left wing is increased, and so that wing naturally stalls first. Anyways, there is something not setup right on this plane. The wing could be warped/twisted (requiring opposite aileron for it to fly level), or for some reason there is a significant imbalance left to right. Also, it appears that it's setup to have a lot more downward aileron travel than upward, which is exactly the opposite of what you want. proper aileron differential (if you're going to use differential at all) is for the aileron to move more in the upward direction, and less in the downward direction. Both these issues are "out of the box" issues, but could still potentially be corrected and make this plane fly a lot nicer.
These little transmitter style from Eachine and Sonix etc have no ratchet on the throttle. Does this ? I find the lack of a ratchet/pressure on the throttle annoying but the P51 Mustang got me so into flying so......... Good honest videos as always. Thanks you two 😊

Flybear are hit or miss on their FC... I had the sbach and as soon as you put the throttle to over 50% the elevator would stop working... pulled the servo and tested it on a bench for 5 mins no issues. I just feel like their products are 1 step below XK
Given that this has no (some?) dihedral, could those be tip stalls? I know it shouldn’t let it bank enough for that to happen in stabilised, but perhaps it is?
Get the FMS ranger trainer 850mm rtf it's a amazing flyer it's only about $190 also it can do tricks like inverted the battery life is about 10ish mins so for an RC plane that is a good amount of time in the air also I recommend buying extra batterys I personally have 4 battery's for my ranger trainer. Hope this helps
my aeroscout did the same thing to me this weekend...didnt make it out...not sure if my elevator servo stripped out or if the receiver is on the fritz. is there a way to check a spectrum receiver for issues?
Hi Nate I have a Drone it is about a 200.00 dollars it flys good but you can’t get to close to trees. And you have to have good internet and y fi I want.to get a up grade that’s doesn’t cost an arm and a your first born. Do you have any idea what I can get. I am willing to pay a little more for a better drone. Thank you.
I loved fx brand when I bought the little two channel jet but when I bought the j3 cub yellow one …the elevator servo kept melting …found out had something to do with the control board …it was giving too many volts to the servos ….will never buy another fx plane

I know this isn't the E120 review, but I have a question about it.( I put a comment on that video but it's old so I am not expecting people to see it ) I have good experience with anything RC so I am not a beginner. But when I got the E120, it seemes rather unsteady, and even with the slightest breeze, it loses control and drops from the sky. Is this normal ? Any help would be much appreciated! Some great info here. When you say 15% of the wing chord, are you talking wing root or MAC (Mean Aerodynamic Chord)?

Contact Horizon Hobbies. In my experience they will request you ship them the part or plane. They have always stood by there products for me.
Screws rattle loose most prob your servo rod screw came loose
gotta thread lock em or hot glue the ends so rod don't pull thru.
