Diana Bravestorm we have a 15hh Welsh D that my sister is scared to jump higher than 1ft. I jump 2ft 6" on a 11hh pony at home and 2ft 3" when I'm out at a show. Little pony is only 5 years old!

The riders had the reins really tight that's why the horses tossed their heads... It was the riders fault

Dude, that isn’t nice riding... that’s how you split your horses mouth. Also they aren’t getting good strides to the fences cos they don’t know how to half holt, they just rip there horses face of all the way down to the jump.

You guys just throw your horses at fences.. That's why they're not jumping straight and you're getting left behind. Straightness is power, not speed.

Negative comments! It's a bit of fun, not an affiliated competition! Have you noticed a lot of the riders are really quite young? There's really no need to be horrid on peoples' videos, if they wanted crit they'd ask for crit.

what annoys me very much is that some of these riders can't sit quietly and without pushing the horse to go forward with their own posture. what i noticed most was that some of the riders bounce in the saddle awfully lot and a few had their hands just flying around all the place. i do understand that the horses may be very difficult and i'm not saying any of these riders were bad, because they weren't and because i'm not a professional (and even professionals do mistakes) but i just noticed that some of these riders could have sat in the saddle more quietly and give leg more early. many horses refuse to go over if you push and push and push with your leg for them to maintain their tempo and rhythm. anyway enjoyed watching this! :)

the girl on the palimino did really well. as well as the girl on the paint and dapple grey. LETS JUST SAY THEY ALL DID GREAT

The main instructor who is preventing people from causing a collision by shouting 'next' so they know when it's safe to go. If you hadn't noticed, there are 12 horses/ponies in the school at one time.
Those poor horses:
1. The riders dont know their body position
2. The amount of screaming the horses had to tolerate
3. They pulled on the horses mouth
1. the riders ARE doing jump position
2. horses are used to it and they are lesson horses so they hear it everyday
3 they barely pulled

Okay, personally I won’t criticise the riders for throwing their horses on the jumps because I’ve been there, I’m not perfect, but I’ve also noticed that some of them don’t put much leg on the horse, which is the reason their horses are giving huge jumps, trying to get over, but please add more leg!
The only reason most of them got as far as they did is because of the fact that most of them are ponies and ponies can jump almost anything. Some bad riding but looked like fun!
The girl riding the little tiny chestnut pony needs to work on that. It was throwing his head in her reins were too short.
The girl in the gray jacket on the chestnut was approaching the jump way too fast, the girl in the pink and the one before her were flapping around like ducks and lots of them were kicking like crazy. The only good riders I could see was the one on the dapple gray and the girl on the big bay
And the one on the skewbald

The girl on the chestnut with grey jacket approached fast cause her pony was barging/pulling. She couldn't help it, but then again, could have lowered her hands and sat deeper telling him to shorten the stride or even slow down the stride, ponies don;'t always approach quick because they want to jump, sometimes it's to escpae it, or get it done quicker. :)

Yes, I do slightly agree with that, but clearly you don’t know what your talking about. Some of the children are nervous or even inexperienced, so they’re worried about their horses rushing the jump. And the horses are fine.

some of these girls really did not know how to keep their legs steady or get off the horse's back, theyre being left behind and throwing themselves at the horse's neck and not giving the saddle enough clearance to get off the horse's back and allow them to jump, hopefully theyve improved since this video, also the girl in the pink jacket shouldnt be jumping if she screams after every jump
Really pisses me off with these comments. Just watch the video and either leave it or just out well done or something like that. Drop the critique, that's not what this is for. Lave these poor girls alone. They all did very well

Its chase me charlie- just for fun to go higher. It also helps some riders come to grip with reality, seeing they aren't ready for a height... or the opposite, it can build riders confidence by showing that higher isn't always scarier. Only to be done on trustworthy, sound horses. :)

Good riders! Some 2-points may need some work. But I loved the horsemanship in this video! I liked how you were in control of the horse using your legs and not a whip. Thought the horses' jumps are stiff. Maybe do cross-rail jumps and see if that helps. Try lounging a horse over a jump with a lead rope. This may seem like a critical comment, but I see potential in the riders and horses.
It's a fair size lol. There's a bigger one with a full course of jumps in though. :) This one's mainly used for weekend group lessons ha! I used to share the piebald, she's called Cha Cha :)
in my opinion the palomino behaved the best. and for a couple ppl, rly try to work on ur legs and hands cuz u dont have to swiing ur legs back and forth to make them go faster. just a btw

it botherd me how he would scream NEXT! in the middle of the jump, like they know to go lol i mean there not going to just stand there and thats also probably nerve wracking for them. also the problem with screaming next right in the middle of the jump befor they even hit the ground, is that if they fall of at the end or something the other rider will allready be going and could seriously hurt them

You have to keep your horses in a straight line up to the jump. Have you ever learned about track? You all need to learn how to keep your horses controlled then let go right in front of the jump! 🤦🏼♀️

Livi and her pony (little girl at the end) seemed to the jumps easier than the big horses and the older riders! They got guts!

My auntie yells over the jumps because she doesn’t believe in crops. Her horse Lidget stops dead and she yells and it lleaps
'Horse3' otherwise known as Henry is a difficult horse to ride, yeah she didn't need to scream but the other comments like shit position is because sometimes he can throw his head up when jumping and hit you in the face. I know this because I shared him for 4 years...
why are they making the horses ran at the jumps? first of all theyre tiny you dont need to go fast, second of all its gonna teach the horses bad habits
