Who needs to have lessons or go to a riding school when you have the TH-cam comment section! 😂This is to all the people who are hating 1. People are allowed to kick their horses, it's not like they got massive Spurs on! 2. Gypsy Cobs/Vanners can jump, just because they're not bred for jumping, doesn't mean they can't do it 3. The game of 'chase me charlie' is meant to see how high you and your horses can go without help, therefore there is no ground pole or fillers. Please leave all your petty comments here 👇🏼 I'm not gonna read them anyway. 😂😉
+Caroline Harris (Caz) No problem! I hate it when people, who are probably adults with no life, hate on kids. It's so stupid. I'm 13 and would hate to read these comments on this video if it was about me! The riders in this video are doing great!
+SaphiraTessa sometimes you do need to kick your horse though like if a pony goes to refuse a jump you need to kick it with whatever side your pony is going out on then it will make it jump it also sometimes it will help if you kick it when you go to jump because if he's going from a trot he's more likely to knock over the jump then he is from a canter
Plus, a ground rail is what the horse (and rider) should be aiming at for take-off. Without a ground rail it looks like they could slide under the jump, and the horses may not see the vertical until the last moment.
@@cadenceaultman3524 I know, right? These people are so oversensitive and facts trigger them, but the main point, when you want to jump that hight, to at least be good enough at basic riding skills, which they are not so much good
+Cl Ge yes I know that too and that is their style of riding. Mounted games tend to kick and ride like the stereotypical pony club novice kid which I don't like their way of riding. I like quite respectful riders
+Chicken Nugget you must be wrong there, I'm part of a pony club where I do dressage but when ever I see people do mounted games there's alway cruel behaviour going on
I literally hate all the people who are pretending to be complete experts on riding. They are playing a game, let them do their thing. The last thing they're going to do is look in the comments section for notes. Just lay off and stop criticizing everything they do. That's what I hate about the riding community, all the people who think they're better than others and are constantly giving notes. Let them be, and when you become their trainer, then you can tell them what to do. Until then, keep your "expertise" to yourself.
Okay, i thought that for the most part it was well ridden other than starfish kicking the horses to jump it, but i think thats an error in the instructors attention, as she is smoking a cigarette. But other than kicking kinda harshly at times, i thought that it was pretty well ridden. Also i thought that paint cob was gorgeouusss
The girls did well 😜 did not like the one on the bay with ( blue t - shirt ) she never really praised her horse which annoyed me!! And those riding instructors need to grow some respect!! Ssmoking in front of children and horses!! Wonder what these parents thought when they saw this!! And gypsy canners / cobs / whatever you wanna call then are amazing!! I have 2 of them!! And my gelding is excellent at jumping he can jump hedges , normal poles , logs , everything 😄😄😘😘 BTW haters put your comments 👇🏼 down there 😹😹😹 as I have no ingestion of reading pls hate comments as this is my opinion!! Like it for Xmas EVE!!! Love Christmas!!!
She never praised it once the black horse was getting praised every time even if it knocked the railing down I felt bad for the last horse never even got praised once the one with the bay blue was too big for the horse/ pony whatever you call it
In a show, once you are past the fence there is nothing you can do about it. You can't will it back up with your mind if its knocked over. Plus, you are still riding a large animal with a mind of its own so you should be focusing on where you are going. Although they aren't doing courses or in a show its still not a good habit to form.
I like how at 2:03 someone (probably the instructor) yells "Don't praise him!" and the girl in the green shirt proceeds to pat her horse and say "Good boy!!" LMAO 😆
Ok... For all you ignorant piggies out there. I can confirm that only two of these horses are actually jumping horses. The rest only jump for fun. Two are dressage horses who were young at this point and weren't confident jumping, but funnily enough, jumping helps with flat work so, yes. We jump them!! I can also say that we are all young riders. We don't jump affiliated, we don't jump consecutively every week. THIS IS FOR FUN! The reason you can see our heels up or not in the stirrup correctly is because we use our legs and we don't need stirrups as we have been taught to ride with, or without! The crop/ stick isn't used in this as it isn't allowed in our rules! Because we funnily use our legs!! Instead of hitting the horse to get it over the fence! Also the pole is uneven! But unfortunately we aren't as lucky to get a beautiful manage, or school to work in. So we make do! Yes, it can be unfair on the horses, but we take their care to be paramount and we always, always, check them over. We also choose to continue going, as we have two/ three lives/ chances to jump! And we would also carry on going as we are also working on our jumping! So before you comment saying this isn't 'right', or you definition of 'perfect' ! You can fuck off! As this was fun! Testing our trust in the horse and vice versa!! No, we're not perfect. But nobody is! To see this industry to go from fun, to being dragged in shit by some people, is vile.
Cédric VIGNEAU Dude accidents happen your just a jerk who’s jealous and rude I’m not a bad rider and it’s not like I’m not gonna make a mistake everyday I’ve made 14 riding mistakes I’ve also had many falls so be an ass all you want cause I’m not gonna let bullies get in my way!
I really love how happy the first girl looks and how she praises her horse. But all of you are mighty brave for trying those jumps! I am just learning to ride so nowhere near trying a jump yet.
1. No, she’s not. You do not know the weight of the rider based on a video. Her feet do not dangle below the horse’s barrel. She appears very lightweight. 2. Agreed. 3. It is only slightly crooked and was probably built that way. You can hardly notice.
❤️love the black and white cob! so amazing great riding that looked like so much fun felt bad for the really small horse they nearly got as big as him!❤️
Sophie AndWarrior you don’t need stirrups to jump high, you should technically be able to jump with dressage length stirrups as the horse propels you out of the saddle as it jumps.
Y'Al ladies did a great job, love the attitude Of horse & riders!! Keep up the great work an yal will go a LONG WAYS WITH UR HORSE!! MAKE SURE it's fun for ur horse an he/she will take u to the STARS!! THANK U VERY MUCH, NOLA (JEN, NEW ORLEANS,LA!)
because when everyone here was a child on a pony and playing around you all had perfect riding positions and in fact all of you now have perfect riding positions. the kids are having fun, the ponies aren't hurt, it's a competition. if they were beating them over the jump or bullying them into it then yeah sure but seriously. let people have their fun how else are they to gain confidence and learn? x

@@Eeee-xl4xb no, they don't need to be perfect, however, this is more a matter of safety. Teaching riders wrongly and then lacing them over massive jumps is dangerous. The horses were jumping from the wrong lead, they weren't able to jump the heights, the riders weren't jumping in the center of the jump. It was an overall mess
My favorite thing is that they praised their horse/pony even when they the knocked a pole because if they knock it they still have a go so when they go back over it the horse/pony will know they will rewarded for going over the jump also the jump should have a ground line so that the horse/pony can see how high the jump is better

Who needs to have lessons or go to a riding school when you have the TH-cam comment section! 😂This is to all the people who are hating
1. People are allowed to kick their horses, it's not like they got massive Spurs on!
2. Gypsy Cobs/Vanners can jump, just because they're not bred for jumping, doesn't mean they can't do it
3. The game of 'chase me charlie' is meant to see how high you and your horses can go without help, therefore there is no ground pole or fillers.
Please leave all your petty comments here 👇🏼 I'm not gonna read them anyway. 😂😉
thank you!
+Caroline Harris (Caz) No problem! I hate it when people, who are probably adults with no life, hate on kids. It's so stupid. I'm 13 and would hate to read these comments on this video if it was about me! The riders in this video are doing great!
I agree, but kicking doesn't make a horse go faster or jump better. you need to like squeeze, not kick.
+horsemad no. you need to squeeze it. not kick.
The fact that they’re is no ground pole scares me 😂😂
Same✌🏻😔✌🏻
I don't know why put I think the fence looks bigger if there is no grounpole for me jumping anyway
@@Jvhxgd ME TOO
Plus, a ground rail is what the horse (and rider) should be aiming at for take-off. Without a ground rail it looks like they could slide under the jump, and the horses may not see the vertical until the last moment.
Can’t you just wait to go for a smoke break?! Like Jesus Christ!
It's a few kids having fun. Don't understand why people have to criticise. Riding is about having fun too you know?
Just that fact of what some were doing😊
Ya but if you are jumping that high you need to know the basics
@@cadenceaultman3524 I know, right? These people are so oversensitive and facts trigger them, but the main point, when you want to jump that hight, to at least be good enough at basic riding skills, which they are not so much good
Yes, but what’s not fun is that one of the instructors is smoking
im pretty sure what the "game" basically is to jump as high as you can without help
There’s always that one cob that rhino charges the jumps 😂
Mine bless him he loves it but he can’t do it
Gracie Maicy why ?

+Chicken Nugget your not suppose to kick unless necessary, yo should always squeeze first
+Chicken Nugget I'm a dressage rider I think I'd know
+Cl Ge yes I know that too and that is their style of riding. Mounted games tend to kick and ride like the stereotypical pony club novice kid which I don't like their way of riding. I like quite respectful riders
+Chicken Nugget you must be wrong there, I'm part of a pony club where I do dressage but when ever I see people do mounted games there's alway cruel behaviour going on
bella ellingworth I know that's a Good thing but it's OK to kick too x (I've been riding for like 13 years so I know shit)
You're so right, some people are such idiots
I feel the same the horses aren't getting hurt so no harm just let them be
Exactly. Very well said😊
Thank youu
This comment needs to be on almost every riding video.
They were kicking like mad! It was horrid
yeah the starfishing was horrendous and basically all of them were doing it
@@Layla_eqq13well actually im an equestrian and I gotta say that the kicks also annoy horses tho
There are two girls in blue on bays, the lighter bay or the darker one?
She never praised it once the black horse was getting praised every time even if it knocked the railing down I felt bad for the last horse never even got praised once the one with the bay blue was too big for the horse/ pony whatever you call it
Don't look back at the jump, its such a bad habit to have.
+Halfhalt_hearts lol I said the same thing and I got attacked by comments for saying it.
Ikr. I stopped doing that after my instructor told me 😂
I don't know much about jumping. Why is it a bad habit to look back? Don't you want to see if you cleared the pole?
In a show, once you are past the fence there is nothing you can do about it. You can't will it back up with your mind if its knocked over. Plus, you are still riding a large animal with a mind of its own so you should be focusing on where you are going. Although they aren't doing courses or in a show its still not a good habit to form.
Lindsay Grove if you were jumping a course of fences, and looked back at one you knocked and don't know where your going, that's why :)
I like how at 2:03 someone (probably the instructor) yells "Don't praise him!" and the girl in the green shirt proceeds to pat her horse and say "Good boy!!" LMAO 😆
No one yelled “Don’t praise him!”??

Sasha The Horse Girl yeah you should rely on your legs not stirrups :/

wich horse/pony were you on?

Sticks aren't abuse .... I would rather give my horse one light tap on the shoulder then giving my horse 10 massive kicks on the stomach......

Yeah but one time I did the same and I missed the jump but we make accidents in horse riding
Angela Boyette yeah
Bad riding T-T, poor horse
Cédric VIGNEAU Dude accidents happen your just a jerk who’s jealous and rude I’m not a bad rider and it’s not like I’m not gonna make a mistake everyday I’ve made 14 riding mistakes I’ve also had many falls so be an ass all you want cause I’m not gonna let bullies get in my way!
@Dinae Du Plessis I agree but it’s not always the riders fault.
Great horses, great riders, however they are coming too close together. Something that could be dangerous, I like the addition of a goat though 😂
Amy Weatherald Equestrian and the blooming jumps wonky
Katy Guiney yep it was wonky from the start😂😂 unless they did it in purpose so you could jump a bit higher or lower

I really love how happy the first girl looks and how she praises her horse. But all of you are mighty brave for trying those jumps! I am just learning to ride so nowhere near trying a jump yet.
Keep practicing you'll get their trust your horse
the goat wanted a turn :(
10:29 Oh my good 🤦🏻♀️
Yes more the teachers dont't say anything
Why she kick him like that
yea she shouldn’t have to kick him that badly to try and get the horse over the jump
It's not her fault, She's just a kid in this. Lot's of riding schools still teach this way in the UK so I doubt she knew any better.
Yeah I got taught to kick them gently to get faster not boot them
5:10 the goat got 1st place for being the cutest goat 🐐
That last rider is WAY too big for that horse!
The women should NOT smoke around horses and children!
And for god sakes put that pole even!
she has a big jacket on, she’s not too big.
Oof its her clothes. It’s not her fault for being self conscious.
1. No, she’s not. You do not know the weight of the rider based on a video. Her feet do not dangle below the horse’s barrel. She appears very lightweight.
2. Agreed.
3. It is only slightly crooked and was probably built that way. You can hardly notice.
I agree
No she’s not lmao
The first girl in the white is so good and nice to the horses and are all the others ❤❤❤❤
❤️love the black and white cob! so amazing great riding that looked like so much fun felt bad for the really small horse they nearly got as big as him!❤️

The little bay pony has some jump my goodness 🤩❤️
THAT COB IS SO PRETTY THAT MANE I CANT
Is it a rule in chase me charlie to have stirrups that are too long or something?
Sophie AndWarrior lol this comment made me laugh so hard for some reason 😂😂
Sophie AndWarrior no 😂😂 that would make it hard to jump higher jumps
Sophie AndWarrior you don’t need stirrups to jump high, you should technically be able to jump with dressage length stirrups as the horse propels you out of the saddle as it jumps.
No u dork
@@isabellalittle7977 don't be rude

because when everyone here was a child on a pony and playing around you all had perfect riding positions and in fact all of you now have perfect riding positions. the kids are having fun, the ponies aren't hurt, it's a competition. if they were beating them over the jump or bullying them into it then yeah sure but seriously. let people have their fun how else are they to gain confidence and learn? x
It rlly triggers me how this person can't hold the camera still
they where all so sweet and appreciative of their horses even when they where knocked down, great attitude that will help them improve x
The coaches do not know how to teach children, they are not even professionals. They do not correct mistakes(it is necessary to jump in the center and not from the side), children in the saddles are like bags of potatoes(they do not hold themselves correctly, horses are hurt because of constant blows on the back). Most children do not know how to insert their foot into the stirrups correctly(the legs are inserted completely into the stirrup, if they fall, the leg can get stuck and the horse will drag the rider along the floor, this can lead to death!!). The floor consists of sawdust(they can get stuck in the hoof and lead to suppuration). The reins should be held closer to the horse(to have more control). AND MANY MORE MISTAKES !! And they still smoke! The goat should not be there, it is dangerous. I don't even know how they get paid for this
Y’all act like this is some professional competition. It’s not, they don’t need to be perfect 🤨
@@Eeee-xl4xb So teaching children the wrong things at school is right?
@@Eeee-xl4xb no, they don't need to be perfect, however, this is more a matter of safety. Teaching riders wrongly and then lacing them over massive jumps is dangerous.
The horses were jumping from the wrong lead, they weren't able to jump the heights, the riders weren't jumping in the center of the jump. It was an overall mess
All of ur horses r adorable and can jump very high. The horses at my barn can barely jump higher then 2'6"(except for some)
Is that a gypsy vanner? It’s beautiful! All of them Are!
My favorite thing is that they praised their horse/pony even when they the knocked a pole because if they knock it they still have a go so when they go back over it the horse/pony will know they will rewarded for going over the jump also the jump should have a ground line so that the horse/pony can see how high the jump is better
the goat made this 20 times better :/
