This guide nroke down breeding quite well I knew about everstone destiny knot just what function was what like nature's and iv pass downs :) This was the best guide for this yes it was a long video but the fact it was detailed and you actually showed the practical side of this not just describing
For breeding pokemon like Chansey and Lucario, you'll want to have a bunch of Ditto that each have a different nature if that is what you want the offspring to have (provided the Chansey/Lucario don't have it themselves). The reason being that their first evolutions - Happiny and Riolu - are baby pokémon and thus _cannot breed_ . 5-6 star raid Lucario/Chansey (in this example) are desired for breeding in that case, due to their 4-6 Best stat rolls. Everstone on the Ditto with the right Nature, Destiny Knot on the Lucario/Chansey. Also, I'm not sure if this is an actual thing, but I do notice a fairly consistent increase in egg generation if you wash the pokemon first.
Just a quick fact: With Egg power lvl.2 it takes about 5 minutes to get 10 eggs, what i like to do is i wait 10 minutes while collecting the basket every 5 minutes for 20 eggs. Then just run around and hatch them all.
If you don't like making the sandwiches yourselves, you can buy “Compote du Fils” from “Gastronomie En Famille” in Medali (West) for $2800 pokedollars, it has Egg Power lv2.
The Judge function is only unlocked after completing the whole main game, not the Elite Four. You have to complete the final area zero quest as well. I tried unlocking the Judge function after the Elite Four but it didn't work. I was only given the function after finishing the whole main story.
potentially an odd question, but have you tested what happens if you have a ditto and say 3 other mons at the picnic? Will it bread with all of them or just not at all? wanted to try it myself but between work and other things I haven't gotten to post game just yet
I haven't tested this in 9th gen yet, but historically you've been able to ensure wild pokemon have the nature you want by putting a pokemon of that nature with the synchronize ability in the front of your party when encountering it (my go to for this is ralts). This is important in case you wanna breed another one of those pokemon later cause I don't think natures gained from mints pass down in breeding.
Really hate that you are *confined to the picnic area* until you get the egg rather than being able to throw them at a daycare and go do something else until you check in later and see if there are eggs or not.... :\
If you pick up 3 everyone's and 3 destiny knots you can breed up to 3 pairs of pokemon that do not share eggs groups. I beleave every set needs both items or they do not lay eggs, I took my everstone off my ralts and it stopped laying eggs

I am in the process of trying to hatch a shiny Charmander via Madusa method with the shiny charm. Should I bother with perfect IV/nature breeding now that hyper training and mints are a thing? I guess my question is, what is the benefit from breeding perfect Pokémon, rather than hyper training/minting them? Also, I know this is probably frowned upon in the community, but are there any cons to buying a perfect IV ditto on eBay? Lol. Any info is appreciated, thanks!
The only downside is that it costs a lot of Pokedollars to do it. Either method will achieve the same result. The perfect IV Ditto on eBay will most certainly be hacked so its up to you whether you want to get one.
Why do I sometimes get a pokemon with only 4 perfect IVs although I breed my 6IV Ditto with a 5IV Pokemon? (Ditto is holding the destiny knot) Same thing with 2 5IV mons (+knot) I sometimes even only get 3 perfect IVs here…
destiny knot passes down 5 random IVs in TOTAL between the two parents. So, the ONLY way to guarantee 5IVs is if you have two 6IV parents + destiny knot. If you're breeding with two 5IVs, then it's possible for their imperfect IV to be passed down as one of the 5IVs guaranteed to be passed down via destiny knot. It's entirely dependent on the Pokemon. If we take Garchomp for example, it has a naturally high attack stat and a good speed stat, so a suitable nature for it would be either Jolly (Raises Speed, lowers Sp. A) or Adamant (Raises Attack, lowers Sp. A). You want the nature to take advantage of a Pokemon's natural base stats. Ideally you would never want a nature that lowers one of the defenses if you can avoid it and you almost always want to boost it's strongest base stat. I hope this helps!
I can't for the life of me get my ivs to transfer onto the egg pokemon. I have a 4 best iv eevee and ditto and the egg pokemon will get for example a decent iv even though neither parent pokemon has one. The pokemon is holding the destiny knot but it's still not doing anything. In pokemon Pikachu I didn't have issues breeding
You need to catch yourself a 5-6 IV ditto in order for you to maximise the IV's that are passed down. I have a video on it that will help you easily get one.
It says my Pokemon has a decent defense IV but I put it in a stat calculator and it said he has 13-14 in that stat. I think your chart at 6:24 was inaccurate.

I like this channel good content
Great video
It says my Pokemon has a decent defense IV but I put it in a stat calculator and it said he has 13-14 in that stat. I think your chart at 6:24 was inaccurate.
It's not. Because those values come directly from the games code. Meaning that it literally can't be wrong.
Do IV's transfer if the pokèmon is hyper trained
I don't believe they do. I've seen in another video that they don't.
every time i gave the pokemon a bath an egg seemed to appear each time.
I always thought that a perfect IV is 6 IVs not 5 (that can be gotten from any 6 star raid). Is there a way to breed a perfect 6 IV pokemon? Shiny 6 IVs?
Yes, it is possible but it will likely take a long time.
