These songs came off an album called Soul To Soul. It was the early 80's and CDs had just come onto the scene. My brother bought this disc for me and it was my very first Cd ever!! I played it over and over again and it didn't stretch or wear out like a cassette and it didn't scratch, (easily) like vinyl. I still have it to this day!!! I believe he was 35 when he passed 😢😢 A song that comes to mind is Couldn't Stand The Weather. I've never seen a live version but that's not saying much. It could be out there. But if not, the audio itself is more than enough to satisfy your SRV cravings for a little while. (Yes, vocals) Peace and love from the US. (love the sweaters, guys.) SRV was 35 when we lost him. ☹ Leave My Girl Alone 1989 at Austin City Limits is pure soul. Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copland at this same concert is a masterpiece and displays the range of his voice.
SRV opened for Eric Clapton and right after, he jumped on the first helicopter to return to his girlfriend in Dallas Texas. After the crash, Eric Clapton said they were debating cancelling the show when he and all the musicians felt that SRV would have wanted them to continue. So they did in honor of him. SRV was the best there was!!!!
