There was this one game that I played in middle school called 'fruit basket turnover', and how you play it is that you are assigned a fruit it doesn't matter if it is exotic or not, and one person who is it stands in the middle of a circle that all the players create, then they say that they like three different fruits and the people that have been assigned those fruits get up from there seats, and try to find a new one as fast as possible, including the person who is it whoever cannot find a seat in time is the new person who is it, however if the person who is it says fruit basket turnover, everyone gets up and tries to find a new seat as fast as possible, and I absolutely loved this game!☺
I used to play "don't let the balloon touch the floor" w/ my siblings, along with a game all my family would play, called "Crazy Ball". Basically, everyone sat at different spots in the lounge/living room, and we had a bunch of tennis balls, which we would roll to each other, always starting the game off calm, and always devolving into kicking the balls (while still sitting), rolling them at high speeds, and sometimes throwing, which we were not allowed to do (throwing).
I'm not much of a sports person either, since when I was younger the only sports I've played were basketball and sometimes baseball, though Ping Pong does sound so much more fun, but overall great video Jess.
My favourite made up childhood game was, LadyBugGgGgGgGg (you had to say it like that or you would be attacked) To set up you would make a paper airplane each, the only rule? It had to have a red and black item on it. "It" would have no airplane, now this is where it got fun, if you made your airplane too good you would be bad at not it and good at it same way if you made it too bad. Now "it" would try and take the airplane, only catch is you had to throw it every five seconds after picking up if it grabbed the item that your airplane had slightly taped on it won your airplane for distractions, it made a huge mess but was hilarious and fun

I played a lot of sports when I was younger, then quit all of them. There is one game me and my younger cousin played at my house. it was basically dodge ball, except a higher chance of getting in trouble for knocking something over or hitting a cat in the face (luckily that last one doesn’t happen too often)
I used to play a game called horsie with my brother and occasionally our friends. Basically we would use a skate bord or one of those wheely things where you hold on the handle and crawl around the floor and a belt(this could also be replaced with a long cloth or similar materials but they break alot easier). You each take a a side of the belt and one of you sit on whatever board you're using, you than the one who's standing will start running once you give the proper command. The commands are giddie up to go or speed up, woaahh boy to slow down and hold it to stop (i think, its been awhile). Looking back on it, it was a very dangerous game and we got hurt pretty badly on multiple occasions.. Don't know whether or not this counts but it's the most original one i got.
Fellow aussie here and our house has kinda like a separate lounge. The main lounge is part of the main room but when my parents designed our house they wanted us kids to have our own space to not harass them with yelling all the time so we got this mini lounge room outside our bedrooms. Now the fun thing is that we have two levels of doors between us and the main room so we could get ROUGH. There was one game I liked to play where we got this hand sized super bouncy ball and my sib and I would smack that shit around with no goal other than HIT IT HARD and my god did that thing bounce. We used to hang a blanket in front of the tv cos we had a over head part of the cabinet and that would stop the major force of the ball from causing damage to anything. A few times hands were thrown into people’s faces and so was the ball until dad came home one day early and came through the laundry that is attached to the room and got hit… game was banned :( Few other rougher games were played like wrestling and pillow bash (pillow fight but you can punch) but we also had a mini golf set and stuff like that. Many of our games tho came to an end when one Christmas my sib and I were given a wii and one of the games my parents got was wii fit. We played the shit out of that and so our old games were lost to time as we preferred the wii fit games. Parents probably planned this to stop our rough games and most did tho sometimes we would spark up again. Once we both went to boarding school tho many of those games stopped so I haven’t played em in years.
Well, this is technically yard games/driveway games but we had those little scooters that you would lay on. And one person was it. He had to use just a scooter and a jump rope to get to the island before the witch got you.
One game me and my friends used to play as kids was "Curby Battle". Curby as in the Curb, not the little pink guy. Each player would have 2 health and if the Ball hit you then you lost a life. If you caught the ball then your opponent would lose a life. If you hit the Curb and it comes back to you, then you get 1 life back, but if you've already got 2 then you can't go any higher. If you hit the Curb, then it comes back and hits your side and goes back to the opponents side, then they gain the life instead. If you lose all your lives then you're out, but if your teammates catch the ball they can choose to gain 1 life or give it to you to bring you back in, but if you go out again then you're out for good. Sometimes we would do a "Boss Mode" where one person would be on their own against everyone else, and everyone would have 2 lives but the boss would have like, 10 or something. I miss childhood :(
Another great video 🥰🥰 🥰🥰. I never had a lounge room in my old house (my family and I did a lot of moving) but I had many dance parties in my cousin's basement. THEY WERE LIT😎😎🔥🔥🔥🔥! So my town holds sports events every year either at the high school or the nearby university. This year, it was at the university because the high school was under construction. You get to participate in 3-5 events. Also, it’s not really a competition for which school wins. It’s more of like, what school wins each event. It actually changed my opinion on sports too.
At my grandmas house we had a playing room. It had box with toys that lookes like a house, old Barbies, cleaning materials, an oven and my favourite: a woody wobbly dragon that you can pull with you with a line. It was my favourite Great times
Speaking of playing sports inside… Once when my siblings and I were younger, we were playing with a ball in our living room. One of the many decorations in our living room is a little stone plaque of the Ten Commandments (cause were Catholic). While we were playing, one of my siblings kicked the ball into the plaque, which made it fall and crack on the ground. WE LITERALLY BROKE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. Afterwards, our parents got after us for playing inside and later superglued the plaque back together. To this day, the Ten Commandments plaque still resides in our living room, cracks and all ( * 3 * )
We didn’t play this in the basement but when my brother and me were little we played this game called The Spinning Game. The rules are is whoever spinned the longest won and whoever stopped spinning before another person lost it was actually pretty fun! But yeah that’s really it. 😐
