SANIBEL ISLAND - 14 MONTHS AFTER IAN

This video will show the viewers the progress being made on the causeway and the restoration and recovery of homes and businesses on the island. We will visit the iconic Sanibel Lighthouse and its beach. We will see the hundreds of vacation homes condos , resorts , being restored and see more businesses that are open. This video is dedicated to the resilience of the residents of Sanibel and the hundreds of construction crews who come here every day to work on the recovery and restoration of the island.

Hi Larry! THX for that update, so good to see that there is progress! I visited Sanibel 35 yeras ago for the first time, Since then, i love that island so much! My wife and i got married in 2015 on a secluded beach on Sanibel. So this place has a specail place in my heart! I'll come back next march and can't wait! Also want to support the community and the local businesses!

Wow Larry it looks so much better over on Sanibel Island… I worked over on the Causeway and Island for a few weeks doing Waterway Cleanup for FEMA this Year…I am going to make it my Mission to go back through all the Worksites to see the Progress

Recovery is slow and not that much is open. Traffic on and off the island is still a nightmare
