- Where to catch Darkrai the Legendary Pokemon in Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch!
We first need to finish the main story, at least up untill after you see the credits.
We will also need to have a Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl Save File on the same account.
Then Request 93 "The Darksome Nightmare" should appear on the board behind the Profesor in Jubilife Village.

omg i became a fan back in 2011. ive been waiting 11 years to get a legit darkrai. 11 years. thank you so much for this video. i knew it was in the game but i didn't know how it was obtained.
So far all my experience with legendarys were either extremely hard or easy to catch.
I threw an mud at heatran and kept spamming it until ig I ran out of them, it automatically switched to my ultra balls and caught it first try
I spent 3 hours catching regigigas
just paralyze the Pokémon with luxray you’ll thank me later

I got it,I listened to the comments as well as soon Darkrai Spawns just throw a Poke Ball at it,I would say it definitely took a few Poke Ball but it was worth it,I’m glad I didn’t have to fight it because I didn’t want to accidentally kill it but of course Save before you get to Darkrai spot to restart if you screw it up but luckily I didn’t have to since it was simple by throwing Poke Ball after I missed several times
I made Darkrai invisible by hitting him with a Pokeball right at sunset. Couldn't see him, his health, or his level still caught him after one attack and one ultra ball.
After finding out that hiding behind rocks and waiting for it to walk pass me so I can get behind it was a good strategy I proceeded to continuously throw ultra balls and I gave it no room to run the moment it I saw the head spawn I threw the ball and eventually caught it
I literally just stood next to his portal and the second he appeared I threw a great ball at him and caught him 😐 it was way too easy

All the legendaries are super easy to catch. I got the lake trio, regigigas, darkrai and cresselia all on first ultra ball

That's because it shouldn't be impossible to catch any Pokemon without battling. The entire game makes Pokemon much easier to catch because you're spending a lot of time just catching Pokemon without even battling. Otherwise the game wouldn't have worked
also theyre catch rates are way up
I caught them by stacking up on mud balls and used them to stun it and then used an Ultra ball to catch them. To get more mud balls I got a ton at the volcano

Took ages until I finally got to battle him. I don't know why. The game kept making an error sounding noise everytime I threw my Pokemon's pokeball at him after he did his screech attack. Finally managed to get into a battle with him, how I don't know as I didn't do anything different. Sometimes this game goes a little funny. Pokeballs going through Pokemon or Pokemon getting stuck up in a tree.

Even tho these boss fights are pretty easy, I enjoy them SOO SOO much more than the ordinary Pokémon battle with legendaries in the other games

I somehow glitched the encounter to where Darkrai was all black when I battled it lol.
I've seen the credits and all and accepted the request, bit there's no little marker for the darksome nightmare
Thank you for the guide. But I am not going to spend $60 on a game that felt like Masuda was just trying to see if he can create the worst remakes he could by far. Even FireRed and LeafGreen (If you do not count Let's Go), the remakes that used to be the worst (Still great Pokemon games) remakes, feels like they had more content. And that is mostly because they added in new content.

after years of not owning a switch i played Pokemmo and realized i do want darkrai and other specific legendaries i saw in BDSP you needed some sutpid event shet to get him hearing i just need a save file and not a specific like thing to get him in arceus has renewed my faith bc i would not spend all that money to get a switch just to not be able to get him still lol (might have to pay someone to get celebi tho......

When I caught darkrai and went to check the pastures for it, it flat out wasnt in them, so I've been completely screwed out of using it god damn it
I accidentally KOed him a few times, but luckily it had auto saved not long before the battle, so I could keep retrying, think it took me 4 attempts
question can i still get it if i have both games in card version, i mean that i can only play one of the two games at the time, or do i need to have it downloaded from the nintendo store. PLS answer because i need darkrai!!!
You just need to have a save file. Save files are always saved to the switch so game version never matters

You only need a save state for brilliant on your switch to get the darkrai mission.
I’m assuming that you can’t catch another darkrai after you Kil… I mean caught one already

I went behind him and that started the battle
is there a way st reset the quest. autosave was turned off but it somehow saved and darkari was gone. is it a one time emncounter or what?

Nah, best way to do it is make him disappear once, go to the purple circle where he's going to reappear, get behind him just before he spawns, and chuck a ball. EZ.

No Darkrai and Shaymin are not needed since they are exclusive to you playing a previous game
@Colt ya sure man, they are going to force you to have pokemon you need to buy Diamond/Pearl & Sword & Shield to get the cover legendary rofl. Your hilarious. You dont even need Manaphy or Phione & they appear in game without any other game requirements.

Side note, Shaymin requires Sword/Shield

I just accidentally caught him in a regular pokeball first try. I meant to battle Darkrai a little first and then catch it.
they made it much easier to catch mons in this game something im sure will be harder in the newer iterations of Pokemon Legends. makes sense why since theres so much going on but i dont think they are meant to be this easy

You can change nature's with mints. You can get them from the farm in jubilife

Yes, you either need new Diamond or pearl save data on your switch

To get the quests for shaymin and darkrai your switch must know if you played sword/shield and bdsp before. Doesn't matter when you start those games, but if you want to get the legendaries you'll need a save at some point.
They've really nerfed the catch rates in this game that sort of robs it of being any sort of achievement any more - which is the worst thing.
Even more so that Darkrai is presented so superbly here; yet, pwned by a mere Pokéball.

I think that’s because it’s shining Pearl. Then you can get shaymin, not darkrai. For darkrai you need to play brilliant diamond

You need to farm up 15 million gold and pay it to him as a tribute. He then will offer himself up.

If its the same as other legendary and mythical pokemon you can instantly rematch them and attempt to catch without restarting

Shaymin and Darkrai are actually not required to get Arceus for this very reason.
All I did was just throw jet balls from a distance and was able to catch him that way
