And only one Trainer was even using the Togepi line to begin with. There were some other subtle clues, but overall, I thought Volo's arc was done pretty well. This final battle was great, making you effectively fight 8 Pokemon in a row.
Cresselia, one of the biggest stallers of double battles, infamous for it's defensive and healing capabilities both for himself, and others members of it's team, has now attained a new level in solo battles, being able to heal and strike before it's opponent moves thanks to the new mechanics. So unless the opponent has a flying type move, you'll probably survive to the next turn just fine, then hit back with ~3 times normal damage. On top of that, Drain Punch gives back HP, and it can learn Aerial Ace for countering Giratina's obscure status from Shadow Force. It definitely needs more effort than Cresselia, but Hisuian Lilligant is amazing. Also really good against any Alpha that lacks a flying type move.

Then I started lvling my Cresselia doing lots of vs with the help of that dude of the arena and + I gave it all items to get it’s stats all 10/10. So I made her moveset like yours and she was level 76 when I got to Volo. Also I brought 50 Full restore HP and 20 max revives. All of it just because I really was anxious with this fight. Then…….. This has literally everything you want in a movie. Action, drama, climactic moments, heartfelt moments, twists, and character development (when they leveled up) Edit: I almost forgot, a backstory was there too.
I adopted this strategy with Creselia at Modest Nature, maxed stats, and level 70. It was able to tank Super effective hits beautifully. I mopped the floor with all of his pokemon and didn't suffer nearly as much damage. Just a couple max potions and NO revives needed Thank you for showing how to best him!
I didn't even have to use any items at all by using my other mons, Cresselia is OP. Also Darkrai for letting me one-shot giratina using dark void and hex
A thing i like of this game is that make you feel like you are playing pokemon for the first time: the mechanics are different as for some moves that pokemon learn level up and their effect and thet status
I don't know how to feel about that😢 I prepared strong and technical moves with enough healing items and all my Pokémons are over level 70. It felt like it kinda backfired. But with enough tries I made it. Btw nice video👍

I have not play the gane but was aware of this Boss battle. It really impressed me that they went for a multi phase battle with no healing in between in a pokemon game. I hope there is going to be more like this.
My only complaint with what you did, you used moon blast instead of Ice Beam against Garchomp. Which has a 4 times weakness to Ice type.
Yeah, I should've done so
@@gamememories3349 But you got that turn that it was still alive to heal so it ended up working out.
@@justyourfriendlyneighborho903 Yeah, that healing was crucial
No, in this game 4x effectiveness got removed, and there is only 2x effective
if u dont believe me just search online, sources are everywhere
@@watermel Really? Thx for the info
I spent 5 days on this before I saw this, thank you
TYSM. Especially for using 100 accuracy moves
thank u u made me win but I didn't do what u did at the end I used review with dialga and cesselia and I used 108 before I killed him and now I have to complete the Pokédex great
Awesome video, did the same thing I used Cresselia to beat Volo, Thanks.
Glad that it's repeatable!
This has literally everything you want in a movie. Action, drama, climactic moments, heartfelt moments, twists, and character development (when they leveled up)
Edit: I almost forgot, a backstory was there too.
The Journey of a Champion: Cresselia
Yea
Bruh it would blockbuster
And the friends we made along the way
Thank you for the bid man I was stuck on that fight for so long this really helps
I adopted this strategy with Creselia at Modest Nature, maxed stats, and level 70. It was able to tank Super effective hits beautifully.
I mopped the floor with all of his pokemon and didn't suffer nearly as much damage.
Just a couple max potions and NO revives needed
Thank you for showing how to best him!
Yeah, beating him with only 1 lv 70 pokemon is very satisfying! Great job!
@@gamememories3349 ty
I didn't even have to use any items at all by using my other mons, Cresselia is OP. Also Darkrai for letting me one-shot giratina using dark void and hex
Thank you so much I was stuck on this fight for so long but after this vidio I did everything u suggested and I did it first try finally!
By the time I did this fight I already had a Lucario at level 100 and then I proceeded to use Calm Mind and kill everything
This game's leveling doesn't consider defense that much. So even if you level up, you can easily get KOed by lower level pokemons
You are an absolute badass!!! 😮💨💪🏻 this gave my love for Cresselia so much more towards it! 😍
Thanks this helped a lot!
Thanks for this video. I stopped playing postgame because I didn't feel like my team was very strong, not strong enough to beat volo at least. I might try it now after seeing this. I don't mind a gimmick method, I just like the game and exploring.
This game has tons of things and places to explore! Beat Volo and have fun
using calm mind instead of moonblast would probably be much better for this fight specifically, to deal with bulk ups and calm minds, otherwise for general use i go with calm mind instead of ice beam
This floating croissant is going on my team immediately
I cleared him and Giratina using only my adamant liligant. That buffing move was op. 🤣
Liligant is so OP!
This is just one big flex on the rest of the world who struggle with a full team and I respect that
Cresselia is that much OP!
When I defeated Volo my two MVPs were cresselia and togekiss, both of them were great stall and togekiss is also a fairy type so he even get STAB from moon blast.Cresselia is insane but I’m glad I also caught the togekiss flying above Lake Verity,he was definitely a good Plan B in case cresselia got K.Oed(you got lucky origin giratina never crit on you).
Yeah, I had a good role
just want to say I watched your video and did everything you showed and one shot Volo great video super helpful tips
Thanks for the tutorial helped me a lot
battling giratina in legends arceus is like nightmare fuel
I WAS LITERALLY SWEATING WHEN I FOUND OUT GIRATINA HAS A SECOND FORM
My two main for Volo was an alpha Sylveon and Cresselia. Worked out really well! Both lvl 80 :)
Good to know Sylveon is OP too!
Was togekiss an option for you? I’m tossing up that and sylvion at the moment
thank you so much i thought that the legendary was useless, i was stuck on volo for a week
I used cress in this battle the exact same way before I saw this except I got unlucky and missed an attack and the arcanine didn’t miss a single time and for more salt in the wound it crit me…. Still won the battle later with my glaceon
You. Are. The. Best. I was stuck at this for months and it worked perfectly. There were some issues with My Bad RNG But after using the rest of My team I could do it first try
Absolutely amazing he was just making me pull my hair out definitely the hardest battle in Pokémon history but this strategy made it easy
Glad you made it through!
"the hardest battle in pokemon history"
The Pokemon Battle Frontier is crying right now
This really worked! Liked and subbed
How does Growlithe do such little damage. I tried this and he just 2 shots me even after using lunar blessing. I tired it multiple times.
Did you upgrade your effort level in Defense?
@@gamememories3349 did not, should I just put all my grit stuff into defense?
I recommend putting most of your grit stuff into Sp Attack and then defense
Bro you are a master it took me like 30 tries just to keep dying to the second form of giratina with a full team
You probably could have popped Garchomp in one ice beam at 5:45 cause it's double weak to it. But yeah, this fight is a bit rough when you aren't expecting it, especially since the game basically doesn't challenge you to 7 on 6 battles all game... well 8 on 6 really since you have to beat the last one twice...
Yeah, I should've used ice beam on Garchomp. Thx for that nice tip!
just checked, yep you can 1 tap garchomp
Thanks bro ❤
OMG! Amazing! Congrats!
omg i cant believe it following this tutorial almost every step went just as in the video and i won i had tried so many times and kept losing thank you for this tutorial🙏🙏🙏
Holy crap thank you for this, I hated this fight so much because he has 8 pokemon essentially and always wiped my remaining team with giratina I’m on the giratina fights so I hope I don’t die I also got all the effort levels to 7

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO BEAT VOLO FOR MONTHS
Glad it helped you out!
Thank you so much for this video !! I been stuck on this battle for two weeks and I just finally beat him with this video !! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🔥🔥💪🏽💪🏽😊
Glad you beat him! Have fun clearing out the rest of the game
@@gamememories3349 Thank you 🤘🏾🤘🏾💪🏽
this helped me so much i almost gave up thank you very much
I love you so much I was struggling for hours
OH MY GOD THANK YOU I SPENT 35 HOURS OF MY LIFE TRYING TO BEAT HIM
This individual beat Volo with only cresselia but I can’t beat Volo with my entire team 💀
Only in Ohio they say
People when they use lunar blessing: *enemy hits are obscured*
Me when I use lunar blessing: *enemy lands critical hit*
Thanks to this video, I succeed to strike volo's 6 Pokémon down by Lv74 Cresselia(クレセリア)!!
I also used Lv87 Garchomp(ガブリアス) to strike Giratina down. They were very capable!
(When I defeated Giratina, all of my 6 buddies were alive.)
From Japan 🇯🇵
Im still trying this strat but DAMN I am realizing how good the rng you got was
I wanna thank you of this! Without this video it was, for me, unable to defead volo!
A lunar blessing a day keeps the fainted pokemon away...
That ice beam on 8:05 went for arceus
Gitantina be like: "call an ambulance call an ambulance, BUT NOT FOR ME"
*PHASE 2 ACTIVATED
Aye ty so much this made things 50x easier
It is a nice strat in theory. But it also heavily relies on a lot of luck too. Still solid video.
Yeah, obscure is pretty much luck based
