I like how the guy that plays the siren isn't concerned with fame and stays off camera in the crowd, showing them the true love of a person that just lives to perform
The Nokia 808 PureView was one hell of a phone. The audio recording at high volumes was unreal and it took some spectacular photos. If I could have installed android on it I probably would be still using it now!
Also part of the JB sound that it has a bit of a lower-mid hump which is easier to record(and play back). Also what makes them work so well in a 3 piece, they fill out the sound
Молодцы ребята , Очень люблю живую музыку как на этом видео , Смотрел и наслаждался и вспоминал свою молодость как сам играл в 1975 года в своей группе - Большое спасибо этим ребятам за видео
I just listened to a documentary about this group Leonard Skinnerd -- every single note and every single drum hit was written out to the T and they all played everything but only what they exactly approved of.
Well your test recording was a success. Good sound. Impressed how well the kick translated out on the street. If I was there I would have offered to belt out the vocals.
I'm a very amateur electric guitar player and this guy is very good..but wow..the bass player was rockin' hard, excellent playing and really laid down a great line!! 🎸🎵🎶👍
back in college one day in 1978, my buddy and I plugged in our guitars. Now Carl was the actual musician. Me, I was a hack, but did have some training, can hit the chords, bars and all, and when it comes to lead I can fake it and stay in key. We jammed for about 20 minutes and had hundreds of people out behind the dorm feeling good. It was a spring day in Rhode Island
Wow fucking brilliant. I haven't heard anything this good in years. You guys beat everything in the mainstream music scene with a big stick. Keep it up. Love and light. Paul.
Brilliant live take on this iconic song, well done guys, love it. More please, I so admire people like this playin out live without any computerised studio bullshit and no fancy boutique gear. Absolutely love this. Brilliant! Thanks for sharing it 👌🌠🌌🌅
Back in the early nineties I had a job that required me to work for up to four months of each year in England, mainly in London. I miss the buskers and the fun street scene of those days, plus of course being younger.
One of the greatest 4-chord songs of all time (OK, 5 if you count the Bb at the end.) And a timeless lead that's easily one of the Top 5 in the history of rock and roll (I know, there's no such thing since it's all subjective, but still ...) It's not necessarily an easy lead to learn but the stripped down version of it is fairly easy to play with a bit of practice. You can play most of it with about 6-8 notes. Very nice job for a three- piece having to play without a full setup.
Very 'tight' playing right up until the turnaround at the end. +1 agreed with a lot of the comments re. if they had another guitarist +vocals, i'm trying to imagine these guys on stage with a 'proper' sound mix, full drum kit etc. very easy to imagine as far as i am concerned. Seeing as this is 2012 I hope they have got from the street to a stage and became a 4/5 piece. Couldn't care less how they dressed - when you play on the street your clothes get hacky from the traffic fumes. Drummer probz looked stressed thinking - I coulda smoked that tab lolz. Cheers for the upload !!
Great, great cover!! 3 piece at that. Who cares if the crowd got it...I sure enjoyed it! Guitar player was channeling Allen Collins! WOW!!Awesome job guys!!
With a two-piece drum kit and a small Marshall for the bass to make a driving two-man rhythm section, an excellent street-corner cover of the iconic Southern anthem. Guitarist makes it look easy.
The police siren as soon as the solo started could not have been more perfectly timed
That's cos someone driving by heard it and started speeding. 😁
Must have been an ambulance because that playing was fire
@@BameronCerrywhat about a Fire Truck 🚒
as soon as i heard that siren i came down here and saw a legit comment
WHEN THE FREE BIRD SOLO HITS
They sounded great and that crowd couldn't be any less enthusiastic...
Your right! But stop and think most of the people standing around weren't even born in 1973 when Freebird was first put on an album.
The crowd sounded quite responsive to me. Yet I've heard Janis Jopling complaining about ''European'' audiences so maybe you come from the U.S. too?
I know it looks like they never heard Freebird before??
The audio is perfectly clear and the first thing you think is "I wish the crowd was being loud and obnoxious"?
Real music lovers always cheer at the end of the song. You don't interrupt the music
Every time I see Free Bird played, the crowd go crazy wild. But in London's Oxford Circus, nothing. Should have played Walk on By.
Unlike what happened in Knebworth in 1976, eh?
Should have been singing
Alcohol
Someone having their best car chase 2:08
God damn right
Hahaha yes sir
lmao
suits the song
lmao XD
All three of them are very focused...The guitar player deserves special mention...His playing was no less than of a rockstar...
I like how the guy that plays the siren isn't concerned with fame and stays off camera in the crowd, showing them the true love of a person that just lives to perform
Not only the Bass Guitarist , but also the Drummer and the Lead Guitarist played the role here. Very good 3-member Band !!
How are so many people not absolutely losing it when this solo comes on?
Because it's a busy shopping centre and you're seeing a snapshot of about 10 people in the crowd.
Maybe they don't know who Lynyrd Skynyrd was?
The police went nuts. That's enough
Only the guy being chased by the cops, lol.
its london, mate.
That Nokia records better than a Neumann
The Nokia 808 PureView was one hell of a phone. The audio recording at high volumes was unreal and it took some spectacular photos. If I could have installed android on it I probably would be still using it now!
Police sirens rang as soon as the solo, indicating that someone heard it and immediately started driving at twice the speed limit.
As it should be
As it always should
I loved all three! It was the best performance I've ever seen.
You need to get out more.
i love how the siren started right as the solo did. perfect timing!
Those sirens somehow make the song even better. Those people should have been going crazy.
Great job guys. You three covered an all time classic honourably 👌
The video and audio quality of that Nokia 808 seems really good! It even recorded the bassline, one of the common bottleneck of modern smartphones!
Also part of the JB sound that it has a bit of a lower-mid hump which is easier to record(and play back). Also what makes them work so well in a 3 piece, they fill out the sound
Whoa those sirens!!! Big Kudos to the band, wonderful performance!!!

I just listened to a documentary about this group Leonard Skinnerd -- every single note and every single drum hit was written out to the T and they all played everything but only what they exactly approved of.
It's the energy from the bassist that drives this performance.
haha
The bass player looks like he passed out in his car overnight, slept in those clothes, and then arrived to practice with just seconds to spare.
Surely you jest! 😂
I agree.
For the same reason that Ed Kings original bass line drove the original song
That bass player is overplaying a lot. Compensating for a tiny...
Guitar, bass and drums - good enough for Cream, ZzTop etc. Great sound. The blues and twos was a nice touch - perfect sync.
Yep. Just too many guitar players in the world. Nobody makes any money
Wow that sirens just get it on the perfect time !
Reminds me of the ending of The Devil's Rejects
Yeah, for once they arrived on time.
@@robin3840 tee hee. They did arrive, though.
@@paigeroth402They probably just wanted to make it to the donut shop and used the siren to cut traffic. Scumbags.

Как же классно в тему звучали сирены🤩 чудесный момент когда проезжающие мимо машины становятся частью музыки, искусства и даже истории)
The siren in the background kinda works with the music.
felt the same too!
Yeah i thing its cool
special effect from...police
It was a warning
too right
"but officer, freebird was playing"
They're amazing! Btw they're called Funfiction, they don't have a YT channel sadly, but there's plenty of videos of them busking 😁
Well your test recording was a success. Good sound. Impressed how well the kick translated out on the street. If I was there I would have offered to belt out the vocals.
Yes, it could have used some vocals.
Fantastic, and the sirens made it too.
The police sirens in the background just make it much cooler lmao
2:07 excellent timing for cops siren ...
This ended up being a lot better than I thought it would be. The solo was pretty good.
as a lifelong skynyrd fan gotta say WELL DONE GUYS you nailed it big time
Love it all guitar, bass & drums 😍 the drumer looks so chill he just sitting there looks cool and take owning the gig 🤘🏽
Very nice, love this song and your guys did an awesome job covering it.
I'm a very amateur electric guitar player and this guy is very good..but wow..the bass player was rockin' hard, excellent playing and really laid down a great line!! 🎸🎵🎶👍
What a show in jolly old England, enjoyed this. I hope someone yelled "Freebird" before they started
Very High Quality Recording both Video & Audio. Excellent job from the Vlogger !!
Guitarist right on, a favorite song of the south y’all !

Props to you...and Carl, lol :-)
This is so good bro. The best free bird cover I’ve ever seen. Keep it up three of you ❤.
2:06 Freebird solo detected! Send the cops!
2:05 call and response, siren and guitar. noice
The siren added some spice to the music. 😍
gotta give lots of respect to the bassist for doing an astonishing job
All worked together really well;
if they'd played this in any US Southern states, folks would've been rocking out in the street!
y'all lookin at the guitarist and im looking at the drummer. perfect transition and cooperation with the guitarist and bassist
I really enjoyed this performance! All of the players were excellent, and I loved the guitarist in particular

Great bass player too
@@scottganrud8058 a jolly good actually!
Fuck yeah! I don't think it was a coincidence that the police siren started, right when dude kicked into the solo. So damn good, it's criminal!
This is excellent. Great guitarist wow
I know the bass player stand's here for like all the time but daaamn... That 2:44 move was crazy...

That bass sounds epic... the whole band are superb...who the hell are they they are fantastic
it gave me chills when I heard the police siren during main freebird solo
Love this sort of thing, especially that BASS!!
Tim Davis, bass is my life. Without bass, I am without one leg.
Always important to know what phone a video was filmed on...
,,,wow, the legendary Nokia 808, brilliant cam and audio, even today would be hard to beat
Great job with such a small number of players. All pulled their weight nicely too.
only one jamming out is grandma in the background in the pink.
Cause she was a teenager when this came out, like me ( i'm 63)
This is so good. People are standing around like they are in a museum.
Buddy was shredding so hard he couldnt finish his smoke...lol.
These guys are sooooo tight! Definitely NOT the first time they played
THAT together...
Camera quality better than my local banks
I ended up back here again. Bloody awesome! Wish I'd been there.
Yep, ends up back here. 10 yrs ago! arghhh
difficult to believe that this audio was recorded on a phone. This is great
Sirens are more cheerful than the crowd 😂
The police siren on the background its a complete extra
That's 3 piece band ! So good guys. Thank you. Tucson, AZ.
0:48 The guy in the blue hoodie on the left with a girl is having GTA San Andreas flashbacks 😂
Why the sirens fits so well?! Man this band is great at playing by the way
