She's probably got one of the best lives you could ask for, such a famous and rich family, perfect body/face (best features from both sides of the gene pool), any and every connection you could ask for in the industry, a personal relationship with every top designer, on a tv show for a decade, more followers than nearly anyone else on every social media platform, her own app, and all of that before her 20th birthday lol.

Kendall grew up in front of a camera. Because of her famous family, she has always been on-screen and posing and doing shoots for big names, and started modeling at an agency when she was 13. That is a huge amount of experience for someone who wants to be a model.
Also, Kendall is very well known. People will see her on the runway, or the face of a makeup brand, and want to buy that product. What company or designer doesn't want that?
And without a doubt, she's beautiful with and without makeup, has naturally long legs and a thin body, and shes poised and professional.
She's fully cut out and eligible to be a model. There should be no confusion.

It's true that Kendall's family probably had some influence on her getting into the business, but designers are picking her because she's a pretty girl and has millions of followers on social media. And a good percentage of the models that are famous come from famous families so don't act like Kendall is the first. Hailey Baldwin, Hadid sisters, Francesca Eastwood, David Beckham's kids, Pearl Lowe ect. The list goes on. Good looking famous people produce good looking children so naturally they follow in their footsteps. To me it's no different than the child of a doctor, lawyer, or athlete following in their parents footsteps.
Yes but that is the problem. She is a model only because she has millions of followers. Since when did fashion and modeling become all about how many people you follow or follow you on social media. Its all a cop out. She's pretty, okay. But she hasn't had to "work" for anything. People see her name and go yeah I want her in my show or in Vogue. She hasn't earned anything, she hasn't earned any of her Vogue covers she just has to have a name. She makes it seem like she actually has had to work for anything when she hasn't. Her mommy can call and get her on any cover and in any runway show. Do you see Daisy Lowe or Hailey Baldwin on countless Vogue covers, no . They aren't that special and neither is she. It isn't fair to other models who come from around the world to even get a chance in the fashion world. Existing models now who don't have in 10 years what Kendall had in 2.

+gphillimo You're right that somebody else would take another model's gig if it weren't for Kendall. The difference is that perhaps the model who gets the job legitimately earned it--be it her looks are more striking or she can model better.
Kendall is pretty no doubt. But fyi, every model is technically pretty. Being pretty is not the same as being a good model. Do you honestly think her features are so unique that she deserves to achieve more than models like Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes etc. in LESS than two years? If she looked like Adriana Lima, then at least you can say she outshines them in terms of looks. That aside, her modeling ability comes off stiff, bland, and non-creative in front of the camera. Compare her photos to some of the models I mentioned above and it's quite obvious. Her posing is mediocre at best and there's nothing significant about her that makes her stand out from her competitors. I think that's why people find she's overrated. A part of it is the stigma that comes with her family and name--the other part is honestly just the truth.
Selene Isisa Nobody you mentioned is unique. They're all pretty women of course, but to me Kendall is just as pretty. That's the way i see it. And what makes you think she didn't earn it? Seems like a decent enough girl but I think it would be really interesting to see a video of the day in the life of a runway model that doesn't happen to be celebrity or a teen heartthrob . I imagine there is a big difference between how they are treated and how she is treated backstage. Not that any of that is her fault but it would be interesting to see the differences between the two. Like for instance I highly doubt the rest of the models are staying at that glamorous hotel or being greeted by a man holding an umbrella to escort her to the show.

It's not about love or hate. It's about the haves and have nots. You go ahead and love her. That's your right. But it's true she got where she is because of her family. And the more important point is that she doesn't work as hard to maintain it. She isn't as good as the other women she models with. She doesn't work even half as hard as other models do. Even compared to the other famous/rich born models, she doesn't compare. So others are going to find it highly frustrating that a girl who got a leg up due to nothing she brought to the table continues to do as she pleases not because she's the best out there but because as you said she's already famous. She's taking away opportunities for girls who work 1000% harder than she does. So yeah, people find that a problem.

She has had advantages since she began. Opportunities most people will never have. The gracious way to handle that would be to acknowledge it. She's a very good model, and although she may not have become that famous as a model that she is now if she wasn't already famous before, she definitely has potential and really has her place in the modeling industry. The Kardashians are my guilty pleasure, lebbe honest we all hate them because they are what we morally despise but secretly aspire to (the lifestyle). But Kendall is the only one amongst them who i can admit I respect without needing to justify myself. Yes it true that Nowadays models come from famous families. I completely understand that but to call them SUPERmodels. No, no , no. The TRUE Supermodels had to work hard to earn their status, they had no help from social media or family connections. Many were discovered as typical teens and work through to achieve their Iconic status! I think what annoys ppl is that word being thrown around so often. Every time a new hot model rises, She's a Supermodel? What? I'm sorry but no, Gisele is the last great Supermodel period. Yes, this instamodels have done a lot of work but they also got connections. Note: He is a close friend of Marc Jacobs who gave Kendall her start. Her career took off the same year after Kim x Kanye landed the 'Vogue' cover too. So I think she's not lying about how designers didn't want to be associated with them BEOFRE Kanye but after Kanye...well that all changed. Even Riccardo Tisci has said that fashion houses wouldn't touch any of them before Kim married Kanye but after, he accepted her since she was his friend's wife. Kendall just needs to give credit where it's due instead of acting entitled. I get it's important to stand up for yourself especially in an industry like modeling but I think people might dislike her less if she were more humble. Cara Delevigne has a famous family and gets far less slack cause she isn't as entitled.

I love her as a model. People say she's plain but her look is gorgeous and different to me all models have extremely chiseled features and a lot of them have like blue eyes Kendall has the perfect model model body and her face is so angelic and pretty.
