I've been a hardcore Slipknot fan for 20 years. This is, in my opinion, their best fucking album yet. It has the best elements of all of their previous work all rolled together and still manages to sound completely different from anything they've done before. You really need to listen to the whole thing from beginning to end to fully appreciate it.
i initially had this as one of my bottom 2 albums this and iowa were my least favorites. been around since 99 and i had all hope is gone as my favorite until the grey chapter came out. grey chapter is by far my favorite and imo their best. Id say this is probably their second or third best to me. it really really grew on me after listening to it a few times over a few months after it came out
This song is seriously amazing. I can't even explain how much I love the heavy and clean vocals in the chorus as well as the heavy instruments, they outdid themselves in this song.

And Slipknot was one of the bands that was perfect for letting it all out. That "good anger" feeling you're getting there is so it. Being in a mash pit with hundreds of strangers, and yet you feel so close to them coz you're all sharing that experience and that understanding, after so much time feeling alone or alienated. The. So Corey is actually singing a long with Clown and Tortilla Man in the chorus. Corey has a range of 7 octaves, took a little bit of research to find it lol. It's one of the best songs! During the recording of this album, Corey was working on practicing high notes and blew out one of his balls in the process.

It's unreal what a difference just quitting smoking made. Not "just quitting" like it's not a fantastic thing, but the difference in his voice is just crazy. There was that time around Volume 3 where he just couldn't scream at all.

It just completely takes away the heaviness from the instrumentals and makes it sound like a pop anthem very briefly during the whole high pitched part. I feel like the black sheep because everybody thinks it’s the best one off the album. I guess everyone has different tastes though, I still respect the song a lot but...

It is the culmination of everything Slipknot it is done with perfect execution and brilliance and is an absolute disasterpiece.
