He has confirmed that the balloons represent his burdens and the cart sort of represents his mind on this journey and I think in the video he was out of his mind the entire song... he leaves it up to interpretation, but the different symbols are carried over from album to album. I personally think listening to his discography is important because it all links together so well, but obviously the songs are usually great on their own. I’m sure people have already given you the list of the “NF Journey” as people call it, but that is really something you should do to help you understand his music more. Love your videos, and glad you’re covering him now!
The Search album is by far his best. With that said, you have to start with his first album Mansion to understand the entirety of who NF is. All his songs connect and circle to connect. You are starting in the middle of the 3rd movie in a franchise. You would understand more from even just this song, if you listened to even just the single Mansion. If you want to listen to NF the fan base will tell you to go on the journey and start at the beginning. There’s nothing worse as an NF fan to watch these reactors who start at the end and never listen from the beginning. There’s a list somewhere but I personally feel the list is lacking, but it’s better than nothing. You’ll start at Intro 1 and then Mansion. If you just go to his TH-cam page you can just follow from the beginning and work your way to now. I’d for sure sub and watch you go through NF’s discography if you decided to do it all.
I would definitely start with his first album Mansion, whether you react to the individual songs or the album as a whole, because there's a lot of references to his older work in his newer tracks. Like even the concept of his mind being a house is kind of a reference to his song mansion :))
So Nf music is really all connected.. similar to a tv series each album is a new season to his life so to really understand you would have to start at the beginning like again a tv series.. his music is very deep, thought provoking, emotional, dark as in real issues mental issues and overall bangers.. all his videos have meaning and crazy symbolism so it’s like a big puzzle and you’re trying to piece together.. he’s really a musical genius!
You cannot fully understand NF unless you listen to his whole body of work. It's ALLL connected. All of it. If you're a long time fan then you can see him weave things from all of his albums. The entire search album is about his mental health journey after his success of his third album. He's too brilliant for us to fully understand.
@@yntybeats112 Name one current artist that fits the description above better than Nate. There are little Easter eggs in every NF banger hinting at the past or future. Like Amber said, it’s ALLLL connected. You “like” NF. You’re not a true fan.
@@shecravesit7072 i was a true fan but kinda went on i guess 😂 i still find his music pretty dope. I was talking about him being too brilliant for us to fully understand. NF’s smart but he aint einstein.Yeah his music is all connected, i know. But im not really looking for that in music.
Man- SUPERB - absolutely superb reaction ... I watch hundreds of NF reactions - and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you enjoy the search for the first time- lots in store - I can’t wait to watch your nf reactions- new sub for this - thank you The balloons are his burdens :-)
I loved the reaction, man! Most people will recommend going on the NF Journey. These are songs from his albums that connect in some way (lyrically or visually). It’s an unfolding of his story as he lets you into his life. Most will say to do the entire Search album when you get to it. So, if you want, follow this list, and you’ll get a good idea of what all of this means. Songs from the Mansion album: - Intro (video) - Mansion - All I Have (video) - Wake Up (video) - Note Pad (video) Songs from the Therapy Session album: - Intro 2 (video) - Therapy Session (video) - I Just Wanna Know (video) - How Could You Leave Us (video) - Real (video) - Oh Lord - Grindin’ ft. Marty (video) Single between albums: - Warm Up (video, it’s a subtle visual and hard to see, but his arm tattoo at the end is a piece of the puzzle for the end of a later video) Songs from the Perception album: - Outro (video - yes, this is first) - Intro 3 (remember the song Mansion) - Outcast (video) - Green Lights (video) - Let You Down (video) Singles between albums: - No Name (video) - Why (video) Songs from The Search album: - The Search (video) - Leave Me Alone (video) - Change - My Stress - Nate - Time (video) - Returns - When I Grow Up (video) - Only - Let Me Go - Interlude (do with Hate Myself) - Hate Myself (do with Interlude) - I Miss the Days - No Excuses - Like This - Options - Why (you would have already done this song) - Thinking - Trauma The entire Search album will lead to a negative article from Rolling Stone which leads to the next single: - Paid My Dues I hope this helps!
Great reaction. NF is Not just a Rapper he's an ARTIST. In Every sense of the word. You Need to check out Mansion Next that shit will blow your mind. Great story telling in that song for sure. It's off his first album Mansion. One of his Best songs...
I think the shopping cart is a metaphor for his mind that is with him all the time with the "baggage" and the struggles he's dealing with. When it comes to the people wearing white, I'm pretty sure those are psych ward nurses. He mentions OCD in this song, which I also have. I feel like when people see how I am when the obsessive thoughts creeps in, they kind of look at me as sort of insane at times. I've felt like a burden for my family because of how my OCD has been "displayed". It's like he says, it never escapes. I'm much better now, but I definitely know how it feels like having it. I've learned to live with it. Back in the days, having OCD were considered being insane/psychotic and were put in psych wards where they often treated them badly. But the thing is, which is what I personally get from this song, is that it shouldn't be such a stigma around having "baggage", talking about it should be normal.
Balloons equals Burdens (he references it early on "...leaving my burdens. Well, I brought a few with me; I'm not perfect." as he points back to balloons).
As far as I know, the balloons in his videos are supposed to represent his burdens, that he is carrying around. If you check out some other music videos of this Album, you will see black balloons there as well.
NF has the absolute sickest flow! This guy is just built different. I have several rappers I really like, but there is nothing like NF. His lyrics are amazing and he just constantly changes his flow right in the middle of his songs. He's amazing.
All of his music goes in a precise order, you'll find that most if not all of his tracks have some sort of connection to other songs. It literally tells stories whole albums long.
The writing in Leave Me Alone is fucking CLEAN. Impeccable. Its also the follow up to The Search. Oh yea every video is good. Dude is the total package.
I think it'd be better song by song, but in any case, I think the next thing to watch is Intro- the first track on the Mansion album, it does have a music video.
You’ll totally understand him better if you start from the beginning , a lot of his videos are connected which is what’s so cool about him! Start with intro 🔥🔥🔥🔥
SO awesome to see people discover Nate/NF for the first time. I discovered him 2+ years ago with this song/video and I've been completely sold on his artistry. Yeah, I traveled back and followed his path from here to now. He's worth "the journey".
Bro you just opened the NF chest full of emotions and deep subjects and amazing lyrics and a passionate fan base and REAL MUSIC! Your journey has JUST BEGUN!!!!
He is a storyteller! He pulls you in. He raps, he sings, he writes, plays piano, he handles and sells his merchandise, plans out storylines for videos...and don't forget the beats!
The song previous to that story is when I grow up ( because of end of the music vidéo) , then the search and then leave me alone ! Love your vidéos since little mix , NF is one of my favorite your on for a great aventure ! Thank you
@Battle Wizzard did he ask for a journey? lol the guy asked for a song on mental health. not everybody needs to do the journey. some people just want to enjoy a song for what it is.
Bro.. I could watch you discover NF songs all day!! Keep it going bud, it’s awesome. You are so good at respecting the song and really trying understand what he is saying and what it means.
The great thing about the NF journey is seeing/hearing his growth as a musician. His lyrics are always incredible but each album just gets better and better. He definitely hones his craft, he's always working (which he says in a few songs) to advance what he does, and we reap the benefits of all his hard work :)
There’s a song change on this album. You gotta start at his first album though. Sorry I keep commenting as I’m listening to you. I promise you’ll understand if you start at the beginning and work your way to present day!
I’ve seen two of your NF reactions and you have literally already said like 3 things that are striking similar to lyrics in his songs. Keep reacting and all of your questions will be answered 🙏
You pointed out very succinctly why I love NF. The reason why his brand revolves around NF Real Music is for that very reason: he wants to stay authentic in an industry that celebrates inauthenticity.
Very excited to watch you go thru the NF journey. What I must say and what you might not wanna hear is that it all starts at the beginning so if you want the full ride, go find someone else list of songs you must listen to from start to end. You said in your last video you don't like going back to older songs but if you really wanna see where his mind was at and where it's going, the beginning is where you must begin. You'll also understand more of his videos because they do tie together. He was rough around the edges in the beginning but his message was there and what he talks about with his critics is that his music can be viewed as dark and depressing because he's talking about his burdens and talks about his different emotions. You might not need to go back as far as moments but therapy session is a great start. Good luck and I'm glad you'll be doing more reactions because it's always a joy seeing someone awake from this slumber.
I'm loving watching these reactions, I would really recommend starting from the beginning and doing entire the journey. All his music is amazing on its own but you gain so much more insight and respect for his story telling when you follow the order. I will be following every step of the way with this one! Thank you for the reactions! 🗝
There is not much better out there than someone who understands music and the weight of lyrics discovering the beauty that is NF. If you think the two songs you've heard from him are heavy, I cannot wait til you listen to Mansion, How Could You Leave Us, or Intro III. This guy is about to go head first down the NF journey rabbit hole and earned a sub from me because of it.
Back again!! For NF! I love when people find NF for the first time so if you go on the journey from the beginning (which I’d suggest because it’s all connected) I’ll definitely sub. There’s different lists out there to start from the beginning. It’s up to you if you do the longer or shorter lists , and which ones you record or not but I love the way you analyze it and you see things others don’t.
The line where he says "call me what you wanna but never call me forgettable" is a shot at a guy who called him forgettable on the FBE channel. Video is college kids react to NF
Usually people encourage folks to go back through the journey. There would be much more context for sure, but with the mixtape around the corner, I think doing all the songs in the Search makes the most sense for right now. Plus Leave Me Alone's music video is a continuation of the Search.
In the opening scene you’ll see a jail cell in the background referencing his Perception album you’ll have to listen to I don’t wanna spoil it. But the shopping cart at the end acts as his mini cage when he climbs in it because he is so comfortable inside his cell he brings one with him, he is searching now but still carries burdens and his jail cell with him.
I’m so stoked you are covering NF! You do such a great job picking up what he’s about. Everyone is probably saying this, but his stuff really does all connect so it will be even more meaningful to you if you “take the journey” I highly recommend you check out “Intro” next!
He’s In IceLand & flew here to specifically shoot the video. He is a strong rapper , the most wicked hooks and flow switches, Tommy Profit is his background work /production & that guy is also genius
Yes the funny thing is he dropped The Search said that we should listen to Change, but it wasn't out yet when he released The Search everybody was like "I really wamt to hear it, but I can't yet" I love Change I think you'll love it. Though I think you should start with Mansion the song or the album. The mind as a house metaphor started back there, Mansion was a whole metaphor for his mind. Also "Where did the beat go" opened the show that was when the curtain fall and the show started. My tourdate was a few days and one year ago. Also the continuation of this music video is Leave Me Alone, the last seconds where hinting the Leave Me Alone music video.
I love the way you react and analyze everything, wish you reacted to NF journey before because now you have me anxious waiting for you to react to more NF, welcome to the NF family man, keep up the good work. New subscriber
He's all about mental health, from his first album MANSION to now. I strongly suggest you do the "NF Journey". I'm sure someone will give you the list. A very particular list of songs in order that connect and tell a story. The list is like a book and each song a chapter. And the videos are full of easter eggs that you won't catch unless you go in order.
I've been a fan of NF since before his first album came out. Something to keep in mind is you're finding him as his musical skill is at an upper echelon compared to any other rapper out there. As you move backwards, expect his skill as a rapper to decrease a little. However, his lyrical content and storytelling ability has always been there, and his topics of mental health have always been the key to his connection with his fanbase. Being an OG NF fan is very much a journey of getting hooked on the connection you feel through his impactful lyrics, and getting to see him progress to the tier of rapper you hear on tracks like Clouds, all while staying true to himself and his fans
I love it when people “take the journey”. But you are the first person I actually hope and pray actually does it. You seem to get him already. Start from the beginning. It all ties together. His albums literally tell a story. Your life will be changed.
Would probably make sense to go through the search album next seeing as this is the intro to it. You’ll find out what everything means, like the black/white clothing and Ballons etc..... Leave me alone is the second track
Great reaction! It’s good that you like doing full albums because NF doesn’t make any bad songs. To get the full experience and pick up on all the references to prior songs and symbolism, you should start at the beginning. If you’re interested in an artist that talks about mental health and personal struggles, you’ll relate quite a bit to NF. My favorite song is Paralyzed, so don’t skip over that one.
If u go back to you his first album: Mansion and it all begins with the song "mansion" and all the way up to the searh album - he is almost ALWAYS talking bout mental health from different perspectives. Also: he has this great ability to personify emotions like actual persons like: Fear, Anger, Burdens (The black balloons) etc. so if your first listen to NF - Clouds you dont ACTUALLY get the "typical" NF and NF songs. He has songs like "Real" "No Name" "Paid my dues (Rolling Stones trashed him for topping chance the rapper on the charts - which is why he said: "One trick pony is back" in clouds, and "Warm up" and these songs are like "clouds" where he leaves his "normal rute of rap" which is very emotional and ALL the songs are intertwined so they tell ONE BIG story - which is why it's called "The NF Journey", so if you REALLY like NF, i would suggest you to go all the way back to NF - Mansions album and work yourself up to The Coulds song and u will see what im talking bout :) LIke even my younger sister, who is a HUGE NF fan, didnt like "Coulds" because it differed so much from the "typical NF songs" :) SO: take the journey man,
PLEASE do the NF journey! I’m here for it. NF fans will come in from everywhere to watch and support! With how you described your taste in rappers and music, you’ll love NF! He doesn’t cuss, never degrading on women, etc. He’s super raw and real. There are meanings behind everything he does. The videos, what’s going on in them and his words. You MUST start from the beginning to understand all the references and meanings behind what’s happening in the videos. It won’t make sense otherwise and you won’t get to appreciate how creative he is. Make doing the NF journey a priority on your channel, and guaranteed, your comments and channel will flood with NF fans. His fan base is like no other🙃 Make sure to get accurate song order list! Happy listening! You won’t regret it🖤
He really talks about mental health a lot and it’s amazing, not only does he have a song called Therapy Session, but it’s the title track to his album named Therapy Session!
Yep your locked in and I can tell you will absolutely get addicted to his music. He’s by far too 3 artists going in all of music period. There’s so much that goes into his music and people just love hard work when they can see it and feel it. Enjoy the ride and see you on the next one. Hope you and your family have a great day and god bless
Listening to a lot of the thoughts and questions you had throughout the reaction... I think you would appreciate getting the whole story. Start with "Intro" it's from like 2015, but it will really start to answer your questions. Regardless of where you go next with NF, you have just entered a rabbit hole that you will be in for quite a while. But you'll love it.
I love your reaction on NF. I’ve seen a LOT of reactions on him, but yours are great at catching detail. Can’t wait to see your reaction of Paid My Dues and Leave Me Alone
Please do the NF Journey! You have to start from the beginning! I’ve been obsessed with watching other reactors go through the journey and be so obsessed with the story NF tells over the years and how deep and intense each song is one after the other!
You are a really good reactor to NF videos. Excited to see more. He is ridiculously talented. These are just the hype songs so far. The way he controls tone and delivery in his music is next to none. It compliments the instrumental always. NF takes you high then down to low flawlessly. Shame he garners so much from critics and other hip hop fans.

BRO all the search album is my favorite,it's mind blowing 🤯 how an artist could create such a perfect album
Scheme? He made an entire song just talking about his mind. It's called Mansion.
Starting at his earliest work (Mansion) and going from there is best! He connects a lot of his music together in ways.

i love NF i’m so happy you want to dive in, i think you should start from his first album so you can have a better perspective
Beveraggi is hooked! Buckle up everyone, this journey is gonna be AMAZING!
Balloons equals Burdens (he references it early on "...leaving my burdens. Well, I brought a few with me; I'm not perfect." as he points back to balloons).

NF is poppin high that even WWE Monday night Raw made "The search" their official INTRO!
So ready for more NF always glad to see other people enjoying his music
Great reaction!! Nate is all about mental health and encouraging mental growth! Please continue the journey!
Need to start at the beginning. Best way I can explain NF production is like the MCU each song is a movie that tells a large story.
Your channel is perfect for me, a One Direction and NF fan, I know quite the mix.
Usually people encourage folks to go back through the journey. There would be much more context for sure, but with the mixtape around the corner, I think doing all the songs in the Search makes the most sense for right now. Plus Leave Me Alone's music video is a continuation of the Search.
The song that you mentioned "Changes" is a fireeeeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
Great reaction!!! I hope you have been given "the list" to take the NF journey... we'll be looking forward to it!!
He’s In IceLand & flew here to specifically shoot the video. He is a strong rapper , the most wicked hooks and flow switches, Tommy Profit is his background work /production & that guy is also genius
One of the best reactions on this song I’ve seen.
OMG yas!! I was waiting for this! I am always so excited when I saw that you posted a new video. Love your reactions
Great reaction and interpretation - I think you'll enjoy all of his music. Keep up the great work.
Your reactions make me so happy 😊
I love the way you react and analyze everything, wish you reacted to NF journey before because now you have me anxious waiting for you to react to more NF, welcome to the NF family man, keep up the good work. New subscriber
YESSSS PLS GO THROUGH ALL THE ALBUMS
He's all about mental health, from his first album MANSION to now. I strongly suggest you do the "NF Journey". I'm sure someone will give you the list. A very particular list of songs in order that connect and tell a story. The list is like a book and each song a chapter. And the videos are full of easter eggs that you won't catch unless you go in order.
Subscribed for the NF journey. Some very thoughtful and well done reactions.
Welcome to the Nf fam. Another Journey begins. Strap in son because he doesn't make a bad song.
Leave me alone is the second track
and hes just as good live. never disappointed
“He just made a whole scheme where he’s comparing his mind to a house”
🫣😂😂😂😂
Great reaction! It’s good that you like doing full albums because NF doesn’t make any bad songs. To get the full experience and pick up on all the references to prior songs and symbolism, you should start at the beginning.
If you’re interested in an artist that talks about mental health and personal struggles, you’ll relate quite a bit to NF. My favorite song is Paralyzed, so don’t skip over that one.
I really enjoyed this reaction. NF is unparalleled right now.
He has songs like "Real" "No Name" "Paid my dues (Rolling Stones trashed him for topping chance the rapper on the charts - which is why he said: "One trick pony is back" in clouds, and "Warm up" and these songs are like "clouds" where he leaves his "normal rute of rap" which is very emotional and ALL the songs are intertwined so they tell ONE BIG story - which is why it's called "The NF Journey", so if you REALLY like NF, i would suggest you to go all the way back to NF - Mansions album and work yourself up to The Coulds song and u will see what im talking bout :)
LIke even my younger sister, who is a HUGE NF fan, didnt like "Coulds" because it differed so much from the "typical NF songs" :) SO: take the journey man,
PLEASE do the NF journey!
His fan base is like no other🙃
Make sure to get accurate song order list!
Happy listening! You won’t regret it🖤
He really talks about mental health a lot and it’s amazing, not only does he have a song called Therapy Session, but it’s the title track to his album named Therapy Session!
Even if you weren't looking for additional subs... Take the NF journey my dude, and the army will follow. It will blow your mind.
