Manson was not his first album, all of his "Fans" skip his earlier work. Just like Nate has said in intro 1 about his moments album " most of you don't know what I'm talking about" check out the early work and you can see his influences more.

Back story Paid my dues came out late year 2019 after The search his fourth album.. he addressed an article from Rolling Stones where a critic is talking trash bout NF because he beat Chance the Rapper.. article said he was a one trick pony because all he talks about is his depression and anxiety.. which he references in clouds.. the search debuted at #1.. second time he did that., first time he debuted #1 was his 3rd album Perception..
anyways lol The search is 20 songs so yes I expect a long reaction, might have to make a 2/3 part series.. it’s just so good! So I’m ok if you start with the search.. But many of his fans will say to start from the beginning which is Mansion.. it’s a long journey but it’s worth it.. you will definitely see the difference! How much he’s grown.. I honestly don’t know what other artist gets better with time. He is just that gifted that he keeps getting better. Also why you should start from the beginning is because his music connects.. it all intertwines.. it will make sense if you just start with mansion.. I’m here for the album reviews, for the long reactions! I love it! NF is the real deal
Excellent comment. And I also told him to react to The Search album or do the journey. And let's be honest who doesn't get excited when they start the journey and get to Intro 3. LOL And I like to compare Nate's music to a Netflix series it all connects and intertwines in his videos and music. I love when he references old songs.
I know I'm pretty late, but the name of the song is also a play on the title of a Rolling Stones song called Pay Your Dues. Funny how he can call out the source of the issue in the funniest ways. Great song.
Honestly, his first two albums are okay musically, they are great storyline-wise. I would definitely start at the beginning, but honestly if you need a list of relevant songs to the storyline you might do that instead because some of his early songs are not as good as his most recent ones obviously lol

It’s actually “FEELING”, not healing. What Nate is saying is that most people today think that how they feeeel is the TRUTH. For Nate to do that, he’d have to separate from his beliefs (faith in God), in which whom ALL truth is found. As he said in “Just like you”, “Suggestion, know that your feelings might give wrong directions”.

I really love The Search album and that would be my personal recommendation. However, if you wanna see how good NF has gotten through every album, and catch all the references he builds up in every song, then I suggest starting at the beginning.

I love it😍 Just Like You is my favourite and I loved your breakdown. I'd recommend Mansion first, because that way you can really get the storylines, also you can watch him grow. Additionally, each album got longer (12 on Mansion) also I just know you're going to love the song Mansion from Mansion. Paralyzed from Mansion was the first song I heard from NF and this was exactly how I was feeling at this time.
Bro start with All I Have" his first video still in my top 5 NF songs dope video and shows how authentic he's been from the start.

I’m not as much as a fan of earlier works mostly because of what he was working through mentally was not where I was or am at mentally, but it’s great stuff and worth understanding where he’s come from and the growth.

Its funny how alot of reactors find Nate and wonder what he's talking about or referencing and then they go back and start at the beginning and it all clicks. I'm hyped to follow your journey like I've followed others and to hear your perspective on many of his great songs. He's been thru alot and I've been there with him thru it all by listening to his music. Good luck and definitely start at the beginning even if The Search is by far his best album.

“The search” is his most recent album and it’s definitely his best album not even up for debate in my opinion. Some ppl may want you to start from the beginning but I want you to hear his best work. Every song on the search is so well put together
His albums are all connected. You'll hear a Mansion reference in a Perception song. Do you know Stevie Knight? He said that NF is the only artist who you have to listen to all his stuff to better understand or fully understand his songs.

My personal opinion is to start at the beginning (I KNOW how badly you’ll want to start at the search I totally do). I think you’ll appreciate his growth and progression so much more
With that said, you only REALLY need to listen to Intro 1 and Mansion on the mansion album. Idk if you mean you want to do album reviews of each album - if that’s the case you may get a tad “bored” - dare I say it - at times. I think however you want to do it is great. I thoroughly enjoy listening to your commentary!
I definitely agree it's important to the albums in order. Just ran by your channel for the first time today as I am an NF fan. I first got introduced to NF over 7 years ago. I definitely love finding a reactor that has a real appreciation for very good relatable music and personally even though it is said with major bias I don't know of any other hip hop artist that is more real or relatable than NF. That being said I had no choice but to subscribe to your channel. One thing I might suggest is maybe doing two songs at a time per reaction because there's a lot of content to go through. I've seen other reactors that have just recently learned an NF as well do that and it seems to work well for them either way I'm here for the ride! Look forward to your next reaction! The title of the song (Paid My Dues) is a reference to a song by the Rolling Stones (Pay Your Dues). Nathan is responding to the (magazine) Rolling Stone article, saying that he has already paid his dues.

And I think you should start by listening to Mansion to keep up with Nate's evolution.
I think Prideful is about his first record label. They kept promising release of an album and he ended up having to take them to court to get out of the contract. After a year of being unsigned, he signed with Capital.

As for where to go next I don’t want to be one of the sticklers about the journey from the start but he is like a movie series that makes it helpful to follow his progression. Obviously if you had to pick one album it would be The Search but lots of gold along his path. So ya Mansion.

Earlier music (mansion and therapy session) not as accomplished but deep and important for context. Last two albums show huge musical progress. However you approach the journey I predict your going to love the messages.
I love the idea of full album reactions, but I would STRONGLY suggest watching the videos for songs that have them when reacting for the first time. On the Mansion album, I'd especially do it for the song "Wake Up" (he also has videos for "All I Have", "Notepad", & "Wait" on that album).
I can't wait till you do the search album, it's his best work for sure, every song is amazing..should have been album of the year. The story telling in the other albums are amazing as well, all his albums do reference each other so to catch all of it you do have to take the journey
Loved this! So, as you can see, a lot of songs relate to other songs, so its best to do in order, oldest to newest. However, he gets better with each album, so obviously the search would be the one I would want to see.... but you will miss references. Example: the song clouds from this (and the whole album) is taken from the song Outkast from a previous album. Enjoy Nate- I'm excited to see you experience him :)

What happened I just finished watching the whole reaction.. It'd been 5 months are you still gonna do NF (At least do Returns, Options, Into III and Change)
And rolling stones called him a " one trick pony" stating all he could make was sad depressed music. Which he references on clouds. I think he wanted to display that he could do more.

When you hear an NF song just go ahead and assume he's not speaking generally and each song is specific and about something or specific. You'll learn in therapy session he only writes experiences and feelings period. Most personal autobiography I've ever heard
You really need to pay attention to which songs have videos. The video for "Paid My Dues" is epic. I was disappointed that you missed it. Definitely check it out when you can. Listen… you cannot go out of order if you truly want to understand NF. He references past songs A LOT so you won’t fully understand what he’s saying if you listen to them out of order. For example: when you were breaking down “paid my dues”, when he mentioned arguing with himself…what you said made some sense, but it was not at all what he meant…in some of his songs, he literally does talk or argue with himself and his emotions. He’s kind of known for that. The song “Mansion” should be your first bc it explains SO MUCH that you need to know. (After you listen to it, you’ll understand why it’s necessary.) And then there’s “Intro”, “Intro 2” and “Intro 3” all from different albums that you just wouldn’t understand correctly if you listened to the albums out of order. The NF journey is amazing!! And there’s masterpieces but to fully appreciate his brilliance, you have to go from beginning to end, not jump around. The song “Mansion” is pure genius and then “Intro 3” in my opinion, is his masterpiece and NF has said it’s the one he’s most proud of. But IN ORDER! Otherwise it won’t be as impactful!! Can’t stress it enough!!! Lol!! I love that you’re finally gonna go on the NF journey and I’m so excited to see your reactions!!
