I am also aspiring to become a flight attendant, and I have actually seen this movie. When I saw the part where they were doing the TV interview with Sally, I thought, "movies and TV shows NEED to show more adult role models like her!". And I felt the same way about Donna when she went on to interview with Sierra Airlines, and later, Royalty Airlines. Both Donna and Sally grew up hearing things like, " you are never going make anything of your life," and, "you are good for nothing.". And instead of accepting where they were in that moment, they both took the initiative (albeit, Donna did so with indirect support from Sally), to create their own successes. We even saw Donna putting forth the effort to earn her way to a more glamorous position. She started out working for a small, crappy, questionably safe airline, with only two or three routes, and worked her way up to a larger, safer airline, with larger planes, and a wider variety of destinations.

The best flight attendant movie 😂❤️

"Of course, she's Donna - why not" haha that's so true throughout the movie. There were so many unrealistic scenes where that's the only explanation 😂

I actually had the impression that some time had passed between the scene where they get back together and where she is a pilot. I suppose it would have helped if it had a title, like"3 years later" or something.

I was a train attendant for one season on The Canadian, Via Rail's iconic train that travels from Vancouver to Toronto (i did the Vancouver-Winnipeg leg). I only did it for one season (6 months) because it was incredibly grueling. 5 consecutive days on a rolling train where you are expected to be awake, in uniform and working from 6h30AM to midnight, but if someone rings the bell durin gyour 5h30 hours of sleep, you also had to be available.... You'd get 9 days off after that, by with the time changes, fatigue, and being away for 5 days straight, just catching up on sleep for the first 2 days, then doing your laundry, getting som egroceries, you barely had time to catch up and get to feel normal (forget about making plans with friends, as your schedule is too hectic for that), it just fel tlik ei had no life, and even though i lived in Vancouver full-time, i didn't have a chance to enjoy the city where i was home, and had to leave too quick. It's a prestigious and interesting job for sure, an di feel privileged to have been chosen (only 1 out of 8 applicants got selected), but unless you have someone to cook your meals and do all the shopping an dorganizing at home while you're away, it's not really a sustainable life. This said, i loved View From The Top! i love all movies that have to day with planes, trains, or ships.... ❤

The first airplane is a DC-3 first used in WWII and still used today my dad flies one today and where ever they fly they carry spare parts for the engines you know small stuff like pistons and cylinders so they don’t have to wait to long for the parts they need in BFE Arkansas.

One thing i don't understand is why some airlines still require flight attendants to wear nylon tights and high heels. When you know that kerosene fuel burns at 600F and that that would literally melt the mylon into your legs, and how are you supposed to survive a crash in heels. Those rules should really be abolished to ensure the safety of the crew. Good to hear you are allowed to wear flats. When i travel by air i always wear long sleeved clothes and a jacket and closed shoes because you always have to be prepared for anything. I also always count th enumber of seats to the nearest exits, in front and behind of my seat because i want to be able to get to it even in complete darkness, and have an alternate if on eif the exit is blocked. People always think a crash will not happen to them, but if it does, better be prepared 👍

when you go to school in the US you live in a dorm, by yourself (no family,) so in the first semester you have the chance to have tutors to help you with your papers, some people helps you to proofread them, when you are an international student you get a host family, a host friend... to make your life easier, this is the reason they have mentors, and happens that SW was Donna's, off course.. she is the main character, and sally is the best of the best.

There was a US series back in, I think, the 70s, Called "Flying High', with Connie Sellecca which was about a flight crew. I liked it but only lasted maybe 1 season.
