The full scale one is a legend; one had an extra main gear fitted to the top so it could land inverted. The pilot said cockpit exit was the only tricky part of that venture.
I just started liking the drones with the cameras, but the quad copters and the r/c copters are still pretty cool. I got a Air Hogs Replay helicopter and a couple mini drones that you can do some nice tricks with. One is the Space Trek 360 Flip drone and the other one is a Sky Viper Dash Nano Drone. I was thinking a drone with a camera might be my next, but planes are looking kind of cool too though.
Nate, you summed this beauty up at exactly 4:43! I could watch this FMS Pitts all day long. Long since retired from R/C and full scale, that did not stop me from buying this PNP. PNP or RTF is so much more advanced (needing only a Torx driver) than ARFs to hang inverted from my living room ceiling. The right side under canopy decal I made is applied upside down also. It reads CAPT RICK "MADCAP" NORWOOD. (A self appointed handle) Also, not to sidetrack this video topic as I hope you'll see, but after watching you and Abby having a competition on RealFlight (RF) with a Cap 232, I bought that simulator as well with the Spectrum USB controller. I have been playing with RF for 2 days now and am impressed with this simulator, but see much potential for future improvements. I am disappointed that Horizon did not include the FMS Pitts in RF's lineup. I have flown the other RF Pitts options but I am focused on trying to get the Hangar 9 electric version to somewhat duplicate the "feel" I used to have for my Byron Pitts and Christen Eagle on the field, and without sacrificing or diluting performance. I have not had much luck in doing that. The RF controller sticks are way too sensitive for me. So far, even adjusting the controller AND aircraft setups, I have not even come close by adjusting both dual rates and expo settings for the Hanger 9 Pitts to replicate my past real life experiences. Here is a very helpful link I found for understanding how to do those things: file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/RF%209.5%20Controller%20Setup%20-%20InterLink%20DX.pdf I know that you and Abby are very busy with your great video productions, but if you have had any success in matching rates for the RealFlight H9 Pitts to your actual FMS "sticks feel" settings, please tell me the numbers that you used. My pc (i5 11400, GTX 1050, tons of ram) although adequate in all measures for RF, is nowhere near the top ranking for a gaming device. So I do believe that any sensitivity I am experiencing is definitely attributable to my atrophied finger/brain memories & ignorance, more so than any equipment. You too have expressed having less than the ideal gaming configuration. You and Abby have both impressed me with your flying skills especially now that I have RF as a direct comparison with my own (lack of) lol. I too find the Mitchel B-25 to be a somewhat "gentle" realistic sim, as is, and like you I enjoy flying it on low rates. Sorry for the rant Nate & Abby, but please consider it a compliment to both of you for making me feel more like a friend than just a subscriber statistic. In closing I just want to say, that as pretty as the FMS Pitts is, doing a knife edge against any background, that my Christian Eagle was no visual slouch either doing a perfectly vertical knife edge 2' off the runway, before climbing out on rudder only! And I (egotistically) had an actual grass stain on its vertical stab from one excessively adventurous, long, low, inverted pass. I never cleaned it off. Keep up the good work. And continue to enjoy your gorgeous FMS Pitts as much as I do from my just looking at it hang there in a constant, spirit lifting dreamscape for me.
Thank you guys for all you do! Been a fan for many years now! Love your content! What is everyone’s #1 suggestions for my first plane? I’ve owned helicopters, drones, and cars but I’m looking to purchase my first plane. Thanks!
Bi-plane, sell plane, give plane away. It's a good plane. That's plane to see. When you wing over on landing are you turning before you bleed off enough speed. From my limited perspective thats what it looked like to me.❓️❓️❓️. Yes it was a God day to fly. ⚓️⚓️👍💚🧡💛👍⚓️⚓️.
Too much power on final and particularly on short final. Pull the power coming over the fence, so to speak, and let it float while gently pulling the nose up as you bleed off speed and also nullify any ground effect. Don't stall it on, but grease it on just prior to the stall speed, say five-ten knots above the stall speed. If you want to fly it on, then a lower approach with as little power as possible. Needing to make large power changes on final, and particularly on short final, is NOT a stabilized approach. Stabilized approaches are good approaches, unless you like breaking things, of course. That thing looks like fun, though.
yep...really. If you can't flare reliably, then it's difficult to land an aircraft reliably. I love aircraft being greased on....even when they're toys. It's just a far better display of skill, I guess. It make it more admirable, in my book. It's a laugh watching this, though, and I wouldn't mind one of those, but it's a black-hole, I fear. I'd need to destroy a heap of those before I got any good at it, to begin with.@@Itsa_Mea

For the love of all things Holy.....turn off the throttle start/stop beep on your transmitter!
stunning looking plane just so damn life like
We can call that landing a stoppie
That's a tough one to take off & land.
Yeah, I'm more of a quad copter and R/C helicopter fan. But this plane is pretty cool too though.😕🙂🤓🤠😎😏👍✌️👋👏💪🌾🍀🌿🍃🇺🇸

Cool
Allways wondering how you do the controls in a snap roll. Never been able to do it.
can you use this plane for crop dusting ?
Could you review the BLLRC L100?
Nate why haven’t you used your 46% gas biplane in a while?
👍👍😎😎

hi
Lord I do miss my big Beast with the 110 DA in it. I just hate the direction the flying part of the hobby is heading.

@@Rick_Retired I'm a pilot champ.
@@Stikibits Nice to know Stikibits, but for me was far more educational to actually see it done and to vicariously absorb the technique. Have fun!
Great flying .. definitely would be great to have an Insta go camera attached to get some stunning aerial footage for your vids 😀
Day 1 asking for a jet rc please
That's on another video already
For all those saying that it happened when he appeared again to his disciples, where were the angels? Where were the rewards. Another false prophet
