It's quite an attractive model but only good for looks in stock form. For some unfathomable reason they've changed the protocol from that used on the A280 P-51 model AND disabled the on-board satellite sockets. The new protocol is not yet hacked by the Multi Module Magicians so, unless you rip out the stock board and drop in the one from the A280, you are stuck with the toy transmitter. The "Senior" Mode seems to be a fully "Manual" Mode with an in-built massive stick rates limitation. The stock props are (like on the A280) far too brittle and gutless - though they can be upped to 7x5x2 Gemfans/APCs for a BIG improvement in performance on the the A280. (A bit less on this as it really needs top and bottom wing ailerons for roll authority.) We run both our models on 6x5.5s to give the motor/ESC a bit of headspace. Some have run them on 3s but it might pay to add a buck converter as the full battery voltage is fed directly to the flight board by the ESC connection. Except for expert pilots solely off a flat runway the wheels/do-dads on both models are best stored for display purposes only (as are the cross trims) and loops of zip ties/line trimmer cord added to take the sting out of the usual Noobs' Kamikazi landings. They are fun though!
I've got the yellow one. A really nice looking plane. I also couldn't tell the difference between the two right buttons yet, I set the stable mode for hand launch and then switched the right button. With this setting, I was able to make a loop 🙃 It was a little windy that day, so I didn't try anything else. The controller is quite cheap, but it works. The protocol seems to be something "special", I could not bind it to my TX16s 🤨
You need to push the senior mode 3 times in order to turn off the gyro. I cut ailerons on the top wing and added guitar wire to connect the top ailerons i cut out to the bottom ailerons. i used a small control horn made from a servo arm cut in half and glued it to the upper ailerons. It rolls much better with top and bottom ailerons.
A good mod for extra roll authority! Might need to ensure that all the hinges move freely though to go easy on the aileron servos. Not quite right on the "Senior" button though. 1 press (and 2 beeps) causes it to switch to Gyro Off no matter what mode you have selected on the 6G/3D switch. A second press (1 beep) goes back to 6G. Subsequent presses cycle Gyro Off/6G. To re-select 3D you have to press the 6G/3D switch while in 6G. The 'Senior"/Gyro Off mode adds in a BIG cut in stick rates - unlike most Chinesium Stabs.
I have a question regarding on how to assemble it with the servo connector, as you can see there are 3 holes there in the tail rudder and the aeleron, which hole should I choose to put the servo wire or steel to steer?
Looks good but flies terrible. Very expensive for a poor flying plane imo. They churn these planes out and they only fly because of a gyro. Turn it off and they fly like a pig 😂😂😂very sketchy

I can understand people not setting them up before flight but most expect to get it out the box charge battery and fly as it is sold as rtf not artf. I get it cheap Chinese stuff is not cheap for nothing but this isn't even that cheep 😂😂👍🏼

I bought a replacement board for the A-280 P-51 it fits right in protocol V119S subprotocol E911 binds in Edge TX , the board cost $20

I noticed sr mode is the only mode that wont mix up elevator when you give it throttle

Hope i have found problem to beeping on TX take back of theres a small speaker inside cut thid out main light still seems to work.

Not true, this onr flies just fine with the Gyro turned off. Most of the sloppy flights are from the pilots not doing the research before flying them.
