    Hi friends. This video has been on my mind for more than a year. I have tried several times to put together a video about the Compact Bull Dog Bone, but I was never satisfied with the results. Of course now, being committed to churning out a video per day, I can't afford to be picky. So here it is. I hope you enjoy it. See you in the comments!

    That is a very cool yet simple device. Thanks for the continuing education. I never thought I would be learning so much at 66 years of age

      You’re still a young pup, Don! That’s why you’re learning so much. I wasn’t sure if this video would interest anyone, so I’m happy to hear that you found it interesting! Thank you!

    I don't always climb trees, but when I do I use a Zigzag. The Zigzag is not midline attachable, but I'm very comfortable with it and can be used SRT or DRT. Nice video, Wayne! It's kind of crazy just how simplistic these climbing devices are.

    Wish my zig zag was attachable like that.Im curious as to how often i would have to replace parts on one of those also woth one of those im talking it i would have to buy suspenders or some type of harness to connect with my saddle so i could use a chest assecend too

  • @eddiephillips2000

    That looks like a neat SRT device that keeps rope inside! I have seen modifications for the Rock Exotica Unicender (Which is what I bought a few weeks ago) that keeps rope from slipping out the bottom end but I have no idea as to who does it any more. May be looking at something else in that case as I can't trust using mine as is.

    • @WaynePolcin
      @WaynePolcin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve seen a lot of people using the unicender, but I’ve never tried it. Many are jumping on the Singing Tree Rope Runner. It reminds me a lot of the BDB. Have you had a chance get any climbing in?

    • @eddiephillips2000
      @eddiephillips2000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WaynePolcin Not even tried to go up a tree just yet. Ordered and received the other SRT devices such as yours. Knee and Right foot ascenders are still in their wrappers. Waiting on a streak of dry weather so as not to drag brush through mud as our yard is rather mushy area wise. Will tag you in any filming of our climbing attempts!

    Bull Dog Bone, from a relative of mine? 🐶 Cool explanation WP, what was the bent ring about, you replaced it with another but what is that for? Have a good one.

    • @WaynePolcin
      @WaynePolcin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That ring is used to attach the upper lanyard to my chest harness or neck lanyard. That allows the BDB to be pulled up the rope as I move up. It is not designed to hold body weight. I’ll demonstrate it when I can get outdoors. I thought you might drool over that bone hahaha!

      Yeah. It’s not cheap but like I said, it’s comparable to the all the other expensive devices. I want to try the rope runner at some point so I have something to compare the BDB to. But I’m happy with the BDB for now.
