Custom-built 6x6 Land Cruiser is good enough for the military (and can carry 7 tonnes!)

South Africa is known for its bakkies (pick up trucks) but this one may just take the cake when it comes to the title of the one bakkie to rule them all.
This 6x6 Toyota Land Cruiser has taken nearly 5 years to develop in a home workshop. It uses an automatic gearbox specially made by ZF and using an Audi gear lever.

They don't mind. The first double cab Landcruiser was designed by a certain company here in South Africa. Toyota approached and worked with them when they started offering the LC 79 double cab.
