Nittpicc my friend. I just scored an East of Eden ticket in the general sale after 4 failed lottery attempts. Totally stoked to see them in Tokyo this month. I think I met you at a Band-Maid show. I needed to share the joyous news of me scoring a ticket with someone that gets it, and that someone is you 😃.
Akane Minato was the main vocalist in the adult idol group Predia for 11 years before they disbanded in 2022. She then moved to EOE, which was her first time in fronting an actual band, and it was the perfect place for her to show off her talent. I've always felt the same way about the emotions her voice evokes as well. There's a really special quality to her voice and the way she sings.
She was in もちとちーず (Mochi and Cheese) with Band Maid's Kanami and Akane, they didn't have a bass player but instead a keyboard player Akina, I think it's an acoustic band. I agree with you about her voice, her vocal style is quite unique and recognisable, I prefer hers a lot more than Lovebites' Asami's.
I’ve always loved the violin in rock music. I first experienced it with Kansas and ELO. I liked East of Eden since the first time I heard them!🎸❤️🔥 The bassist looks like she’s having a blast!🤘🎸
One of my absolute favourites from the last year. That violin riff is sooooo infectious!! THough theres nothing wrong with the last one, this is such a great song. No wonder: Mao, who has done music for Lovebites has contributed on this song.
I love this band! This song and every one they have done are beyond amazing. I love how Japanese musicians will come together like this to create the most amazing music while being in their own bands.
I’m glad you had a chance to listen to and watch Evolve. For many of us it was the 1st song we saw/heard. Since then every song has been different showing their versatility. Yuki, the guitarist, is a member of D-Drive, a progressive rock band she formed with her guitar teacher. I highly recommend you watch them too. I remember another reactor who did the same as you, watched a deifferent video and then upon commenters request, watched “Evolve.” They said “Okay, I get it!” 😊
this band is pure fire. i wish they would come to the states. bassist wakazaemon sends me over the edge ! and violinist ayasa the same. guitarist yuki and drummer mizuki are top tier musicians and you add the unusual voice of akane and you have a band of all stars
I gather this is pretty much a supergroup, though the only one I was really familiar with before hearing them was the guitarist, Yuki. Her other band, the instrumental only D_Drive, is also incredible. EoE has likewise been a most welcome addition to my ever growing list of amazing Japanese rock and metal!
Ayasa is the Friends of Asami. They've tour togther violin and Deluxe Chorist for Japonese Pop Star Sayaka Yamamoto (Japan, Korea, China & Taiwan). This tour end in May, Ayasa go is studio and tour in Japan with East of Eden and Asami make her European tour with LOVEBITES. Mizuki the Drummer chair her DrumTech HIDEHIRO with Haruna Drummer of LOVEBITES.
The singer, Akane Minato was a former band mate of Band Maid’s Akane and Kanami. The name of their group was called Mochi to Cheese. Also, East of Eden is a composite of 5 other bands.
This band is a megazord of great musicians, it's so good. They just released a new EP today, you can check their latest single "CROSS∞ROADS" next, it's so good, maybe my new favorite song from them. I don't know how the order of reacts matters, for whoever thought that Evolve should be first, imagine judging one of the best reactors in this site because of something like that, just ignore the people and enjoy the music.
That's what I call a debut that leaves a lasting impression and is simply impressive across the board. ❤🔥 And I also find all their videos so far visually stunning and damn well staged. Always matching their visual appearance and individual presence, which is more than appropriate imo. :) Definitely a band to keep on your radar, which they have largely ensured themselves with every release so far. 🍎🤘🏻 _____________________ _"America invented rock. NittPicc I loved your reaction to this one from EOE!!! This was actually their 1st single released August of last year (2023). I know that you also reacted to Judgement Syndrome. EOE released a new single/MV yesterday called "Cross Roads" and their 2nd album "Forbidden Fruit-2nd Piece was released 2day!!!!! EOE was founded by Ayasa (the violinist) and Mizuki (drums 🥁). All the members are elite level musicians who are also in other bands/projects or were. Minato Akane (vocals) was in the band Predia until they broke up in 2022 and she was also in a band with Kanami and Akane of Band Maid. BTW, Minato is her last name, but in Japan your family name comes 1st! Then you have the incomparable Yuki on guitar 🎸. Yuki is the founder of an all instrumental hard rock/metal band called D-Drive. Worth checking them out so you can really get a grasp on what an amazing guitarist 🎸 she is!!!! Last; but Definitely NOT LEAST; we have the Amazing, Awesome, Fantastic, Incredible, Wonderful, Creative, Talented and BEAUTIFUL.... Wakazaemon on bass!!!! She has been one of the most sought after Studio and Touring bassists there is. She continues to work as the bassist for Marty Friedman (ex Megadeth guitarist 🎸). And I know you shouldn't have Favorites, but Wakazaemon is my favorite bassist and member of East of Eden!!!!! Really enjoyed your reaction!!!!
Just started listening to EOE last month crazy how talented they are but only have two ep’s the second ep just dropped they definitely deserve a full album
Brilliant! I'm slowly getting into East of Eden myself, so it's really great to hear your reaction. Hearing a violin fronting a metal band reminds me Unlucky Morpheus (you should check this out: th-cam.com/video/gxN3L2jrrEI/w-d-xo.html).
Re. Akane's vocals, she is clearly not in the mainstream for Japanese vocalists. I think the closest in timbre to her I know of is Fuki of Unlucky Morpheus.
At last you did this!!!! I recommended this track to you about 3 months ago, in a comment for I think it was a Lovebites song. FINALLY! I knew you'd love them.... EoE released a new track yesterday "Cross Roads" th-cam.com/video/s8kVoyntUso/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PBuka4lrOLwNVkXs
I think you were just doing EoE requests in the order you received them? Yuki, the guitarist, has another band she plays with called D_Drive ... I think I suggested "Wings" so that may be a good next step ;) .
Great reaction, I adore Yuki (the guitarist) she is a virtuoso who has a long career with her other band, D_Drive and many other collaborations. 😍 NittPicc, I find it incredible that you haven't reacted yet to One OK Rock, one of the most popular and important bands in Japan. ☺ One OK Rock is a solid band, but more recognized for the talent of Taka, their vocalist. 😆 Like Band-Maid, their catalog is immense and it is almost impossible to recommend something other than one of their "usual suspects": "We Are" is one of their most iconic songs, this version corresponds to their epic performance at the 18 Fest 2016: th-cam.com/video/yB6O4kQwnWk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cSnI6u-dTe02z4nD "Good Goodbye" is an incredible acoustic ballad from their gig at the Saitama Super Arena 2015: th-cam.com/video/cbAtAj3uAO4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GXZ14d0dc76TKAix And something much more recent, "Clock Strikes" from their double date at the Tokyo Dome 2023: th-cam.com/video/IHp1MAKpky0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-oCZgerUMD2ugoN0 If you got to this point, try listening to the studio acoustic version of "Taking Off"😲: th-cam.com/video/y6swyQ9bF7w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ye4SWpWDvcxmx21M PS If you decide to react to any of their other songs, always try to react mainly to their live versions... I'd really like to see your musical sensibilities react to this band. 😉
Hallo Prinzessin! Könnte ich bitte eine Datei mit den Quitsch Geräuschen deiner Stimme in diesem Video haben? Sie sind sehr anregend! LOL! Grüße aus dem fernen Hamburg, Ben❤
Akane Minato (vocal) was a member of Mochi to Cheese (to means "and" in English) with Kanami and Akane of Band-Maid. It was a project band (with two other members of Predia) for the three of them while they were in Predia and Band-Maid, respectively. Both groups were managed at the time by Platinum Passport.
Glad you came back to this one. Not sure why anyone would get bent out of shape, but I guess it takes all types. I am gobsmacked by this band. You should check out Yuki's band D-Drive as well.
EoE isn't a bad band. But if you want to hear the true giants/pioneers of this genre. Check out "Unlucky Morpheus". Some suggestions to get you started: "CADAVER / REDAVAC", " Black Pentagram"," Angreifer" and a ton of other great songs.

East of Eden is a true supergroup of elite musicians. Also, the (legendary) bassist's name is Wakazaemon. Just sayin.

The violin is great in rock and metal
Not only do I hear the obvious influence of Robby Steinhardt in Ayasa’s playing, I hear some Jean-Luc Ponty in there too. Cool 😎
And, dare I say, a little Paganini too😮
@@WhirlwindMediaStudio You should also listen to Unlucky Morpheus, especially the violin there
if you like violins, i can totally recommend Tonerico by Jill and saori hoshino
Yuki ❤️ Waka ❤️
Check out another J-supergroup, KOIAI ( Koh-E-I), One way or Another, live! 🔥

I was confusing this band with Exit Eden at first glance. Very different. Well, they have a new fan today.

Bring on the Kansas vibes with the volin.love it.

This EoE’s song is absolutely amazing, but if you like the mix between violin and metal, Unlucky Morpheus is a must watch.
