Slow progress but good progress! Time just flies when you play this game but I still hope you enjoy! Leave some feedback and make sure you leave a like on this video! ❤ Don't forget to follow me over at Twitter twitter.com/WorldofKeralis or Instagram instagram.com/iamkeralis
You could upload a 2 hour video of you just staring at and commenting on details of the game and we would all still love it. This is a chill game and you're a chill content creator - it's a perfect match, Keralis! Keep doing what you're doing as it's great to watch and very enjoyable to experience and learn about the game this way.
BTW: If you create a district, you can charge citizens for parking on the street instead of in parking lots! I learned this today. You can also upgrade a road with sidewalk or grass and it'll remove the parking spots.
Hey papa K! Commenting to respond to your question of realism on having the raised train tracks! I've lived in a midwest American city for my whole life and YES! the raised tracks are VERY real and it made me so happy to see them! In my experience, the stations tend to be on top of hills to limit the changes in elevation as much as possible (which DOES make getting to them a bit of a slog) I'm absolutely LOVING this series and I can't wait for more to come out!
Few tips: - You should look into your energy expenditure. If you build a transformer station and buy power from outside, it might be less expensive than two power stations. - To have proper row houses, you could not zone the extremeties of roads, wait for the houses to be built, and then zone back the extremety. - If you zone different sizes, you get a more varies look, especially in high density - The bus lines could be shortened by going though the industrial area instead of around it
Keralisville sounds amazing!!! Imagine complaining to the mayor/ creator of the city and then changing it that same day! Sign me up, love you Keralis❤❤
I'm so glad you didnt wind up cutting out the Bob Ross joke... Made my day. And I know this was forever ago but I love that you take your time and show us all the little details while checking them out yourself cause theyre super cool.
keralis I love the style you did and you should just do you OK bc we love watching you not the same if you don't like what you do and it's relaxing and chill I like to watch before bed of to chill
Keralis, just be you, you beautiful man. As much as I like watching you chill and play games I also appreciate how you seem to be a good example of healthy masculinity (as well as the rest of the hermits) and just a generally good person so just do you and that will shine through
I actually wanted to see some of the others play the game long term so I'm SO GLAD You're playing it fully cause this is GREAT and it feels so perfect for your style!
Either that or a luxurios living space for the super rich. There already is the rockstar mansion, maybe there are more unique buildings fitting a "privat island guarded community"?
I'm really loving you taking the game slow, because I am too. I see many creators going so so fast, but I can't keep up! I like going slow and just admiring the game :)
In the intro you can see at the bottom of your screen that sims make a u-turn at the meetup between the lanes. With a third road, making them one way, and then some lane management, would fix the issue ☺️ Still great to see you back, so glad CS is back as a series!
Also, 6:18, another thing you can do if the situation's not fixed in that area, is to make the road on the left be one-way as well, going the other way, away from the intersection. Then the to directions will share road from the roundabout to the intersection, and then split. After that you can experiment and find out how many lanes you need in each direction
also keralis pls pls pls add parking lots to the city centre, they need somewhere to park lmao. look at the streets in the undeveloped area with heaps of parked cars 😂
You should unlock tourism and see if you can make the heart shaped island a tourist destination like your Statue of Liberty lol! Edit: also in cities 1 they used to get out of the firetruck and the building would be damaged and need to be repaired i hope they bring that back! :)
To answer your question of how we want to see the Cities Skylines eps, I would say just like your previous ones: creating realistic, highly detailed and creative cities. Lots of roads. Lots of commentary like you're already doing. Good length of episodes like currently. And of course your weird but funny comments (bendy roads for the bendy people etc.). But personally to me the first bit is most important. Years ago when you did that, Ive got so much satisfaction out of it. The new assets of Steam were always amazing. Oh and big series yes. I don't want this to be over soon. I've waited years for this
I'm loving your city but I have a little bit of advice to help with your train lines. Try to keep in mind that rail usually existed before the city and the city is built around the rail rather than the other way around. Also, try to keep grades at 1.5% or less to keep it realistic and so they don't look so goofy. If you don't want to destroy large parts of your city, you can put a train station on the edge of the city and use other forms of public transit like busses and metro/subway trains to transport residents to and from distant neighborhoods. Otherwise, I'm loving your series! Keep up the good work! I'm excited to see what comes next!
I've been watching you for years and years, honestly for as long as I remember. Just go slow through out this series, give us nice long videos and I'm sure we'll all be here for it
Yes, yes, yes!!!!! Mister K, you are doing it! Love the series, I can watch this for the next several months non-stop. Also, want to play it myself. You got me playing Trópico and Anno
I love the idea of elevated trains! They have a lot in Chicago and OMG they are so cool! They often run above roads and actually have above ground stations.
Also for the low-poly problem, it's a bug with early access that still needs to be fixed. All you have to do is set the details to low and then to high again.
Hey Keralis, i remember i started watching your content over 10 years ago. I believe it was the Minecraft christmas prezzie opening. Great to see you back with Cities Skylines, i am currently playing it too and also started my train depot yesterday. Keep doing what you do, i love your creative vibe and i'll be sure to take some inspiration.
i'm loving this series so far, it's such a shame you haven't uploaded it in a while (although it's completely understandable with the start of hermitcraft season 10!!) - it's really perfect to study to, your voice is so relaxing and it's just super fun to watch while i'm studying for my final exams!! thanks a lot dude! :DD the commentary is honestly amazing, i think it's my favourite part of these videos!
I know all the hermits are playing City Skylines because of sponsorship but it’s like Christmas for me to see so many of my fav folks playing it! I’m stoked you are doing more than one episode and it’s so nice to chill and watch Keralisville grow!
36:00 I think the "railyard" make local part and transit part. The building self is for local service (till yet not used) for connection between two train stations and you use only one outside connection with this one statin. BTW: Please make more bus stations and connect them wisely. Thanks in advance. 😊
im subscribed to you for ages now and city skylines is still my favorite series! i enjoy you just being you and the chill vibes while watching just before bed time
Please take it slow! I love the zoomed in moments and just walking through all the steps. This series is so fun so far. Your commentary is hilarious and it’s awesome to hear how you decide on things. I’m so tired of the “extreme productivity” style videos and love that I can put this on while I work and listen along.
ah man! so glad I'm here on this first playthrough! you may just be playing it but what you create is just masterful! and you taking your time is also awesome! keep'em coming!
Ive been watching you for years man, your super relaxing and funny to watch ❤. Its cause of you i got surviving mars and how i found out about Cities Skylines 1 as well as few other games. Your doing great and if your questioning anything just remember to stay your true Keralis self and the video will be awesome! 😊
Hi Keralis! I used to watch your videos many many years ago when I used to play Minecraft, I still remember trying to build your Mountain House way back in 2014, I think it was. YT recommended me to watch this series, and Im glad I did! Loving it so far! Quite different (in a good way) from the 3 other YTers I already watch, and I appreciate how slow youre taking building up the city and taking your time to look up things in the game up close and just relaxing there for a bit. I do the same c: Cant wait for patches to make the game more optimized tho. Currently my GPU heats up a lot and makes my room like at least 1 or 2 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. Its crazy! Cant wait for the next video, cheers!
Another episode so soon 😮😄 yay! My 30th birthday is tomorrow if you want to upload again tomorrow 👀 Ya ya ya i'm getting old.. but in my heart I am young. Thanks for the upload, looking forward to more city skylines and hermitcraft
No not trains keralis 🤣 you started doing trains on modded Minecraft and we don't see you play that much anymore 😭. I love your face 💯💯 best creator around
Apparently the developers have said they are targeting 30 FPS as the ideal framerate, anything above that is a bonus. I was quite surprised by that because most developers target 60 FPS nowadays.

keralisvilles the next Amsterdam, or cherynobl depending on your mood i guess
Be sure to grab the new themes on paradox mods as soon as it comes out as well as some other stuff as well.
This series is great keep it up!
Upgrade schools looks like it needs more capacity. Also add upgrade for firetruck to Firestation
TIP:You can bring rails through roads.
You could upload a 2 hour video of you just staring at and commenting on details of the game and we would all still love it. Keep doing what you're doing as it's great to watch and very enjoyable to experience and learn about the game this way.
Yess
Exactly you should.
Yes I love watching little details around the city. That's what makes this game great.
That is actually what I do in most games. Even in Anno 1800. Then I realize Bente reached investors and I’m still at Artisans :(
If that's what I wanted to say, you expressed it much better. 😊
I 100% just enjoy you enjoying the game and taking it slow. Its so chill to listen whilst doing stuff.
it reminds me of youtube in my childhood
yup, reminds me of the farming simulator era, its incredible
This is so nostalgic it's unbelievable to see a new Skylines series especially in a sequel.
"Hes got a Bob Ross deep inside him" Never changer Kerlis. Never change
BTW: If you create a district, you can charge citizens for parking on the street instead of in parking lots! I learned this today.
You can also upgrade a road with sidewalk or grass and it'll remove the parking spots.
just got home from school, just made some good food, papa k just uploaded, todays gonna be a good day.
Why u calling him papa
Its something that goes around in the community :D
For real🔥
Agreed
here its 1 am lol

oh man, the start of a new cities skylines series from keralis. The City of Water Pooey was great i cant wait for this one
Few tips:
- You should look into your energy expenditure. If you build a transformer station and buy power from outside, it might be less expensive than two power stations.

I am soo glad that this is a series now! I appreciate the Keralistopia!
I did not expect to hear "Ein, Zwei, Polizei" at 01:00 in the morning. I haven't experienced that since clubbing in the 90s. 😂
Been waiting all day for new episode!
Please keep it going Keralis, I really enjoy the growth of Keralis's cities
I haven't had the time to watch your channel since the Ylands series but I'm absolutely loving this playthrough, commentary included
I love Keralis derping. As long as you're having fun, that's perfect. It's great that you enjoy this game!
Keralisville sounds amazing!!! Imagine complaining to the mayor/ creator of the city and then changing it that same day! Sign me up, love you Keralis❤❤
I love how calming his voice is and how chill he is.
1:26 complains about pedestrian access -> gets evicted xD
I'm glad you're playing City Skylines 2. I remember the days of the city of Waterpoo and Tropico, so it's nice to see you're doing this.
You can create districts and assign the services to them, so that the buildings or patrol cars are not overwhelmed
Just do Keralis! You being you is what makes this entertaining.
Literally one of my favorites on TH-cam, so chill and relaxing, Thanks for bringing it back!
Never watched or played city skylines before but goodness this content is fun to watch, love the detail of the game!
Can't explain how happy I am to have this series back. I watched the original series religiously all those years ago.
I'm so glad you didnt wind up cutting out the Bob Ross joke... Made my day. And I know this was forever ago but I love that you take your time and show us all the little details while checking them out yourself cause theyre super cool.
keralis I love the style you did and you should just do you OK bc we love watching you not the same if you don't like what you do and it's relaxing and chill I like to watch before bed of to chill

i like the elevated train tracks! i remember riding along with the train's perspective through the city back in season 1 or 2. Ah it was awesome!
W
just a thought, Id love to see some sort of resort or something up on the mountain or an upscale neighborhood on the hillside. Great video!
In the first video he was talking about a ski ressort 😅
@@aymericsamyn6769 yeah i remember, the resort will be the deciding factor if I get the game or not is all lol
Omg yes keep the elevated tracks! Honestly I just like them coz u get a really nice view of all the buildings as you fly by them
Ay man seeing this new series brings back som much nostalgia, the city of waterpoo was my childhood and I'm so glad to see you back at it!
I actually wanted to see some of the others play the game long term so I'm SO GLAD You're playing it fully cause this is GREAT and it feels so perfect for your style!
Actually the elevated tracks looks so good plss let them be as it is u have placed
Definitely make the heart-shape island into a park with a ferry stop! And only ferries no bridges! I LOVE BOATS!
Either that or a luxurios living space for the super rich. There already is the rockstar mansion, maybe there are more unique buildings fitting a "privat island guarded community"?
Keralis is a true civil engineer and not one of those pesky architects.
Love watching this after work to help me relax and come to peace
I'm really loving you taking the game slow, because I am too. I see many creators going so so fast, but I can't keep up! I like going slow and just admiring the game :)
I love these style of videos keralis, just a relaxing game with you talking It’s the best thing to watch when I want to relax
This is my favorite series right now, thank you so much ❤
Now seeing 3 of these I could watch 300 more. I would love to see a long series.
Three words: I like trains! Jokes aside, great episode as always Keralis! Keep it up!
Your city planning is phenomenal! I’m really enjoying this series
first of all, I think this series is great. Second of all, I really love trains, so thank you for making an episode that has a lot of train talk!
17:32 bro casually started spitting bars in the middle of nowhere 😂
I love watching you play anything Cities Skylines related. Liked and commented to boost this!
In the intro you can see at the bottom of your screen that sims make a u-turn at the meetup between the lanes. With a third road, making them one way, and then some lane management, would fix the issue ☺️

One thing I suggest is binding Snapping to a keybind, like Ctrl+A. So you can super quickly disable and re-enable snapping!
also keralis pls pls pls add parking lots to the city centre, they need somewhere to park lmao. look at the streets in the undeveloped area with heaps of parked cars 😂
This is such a cool series. I've been watching Water Pooey city (Curr. EP.5) and i'm loving it 😊
Keralis this series needs to stay long I loved the first one so much
You should unlock tourism and see if you can make the heart shaped island a tourist destination like your Statue of Liberty lol!
Edit: also in cities 1 they used to get out of the firetruck and the building would be damaged and need to be repaired i hope they bring that back! :)

~Fields of Keralisville~
Great video never cease to amaze
I love the idea of elevated trains! They have a lot in Chicago and OMG they are so cool! They often run above roads and actually have above ground stations.
Shpank you for this series and everything that you do on the channel!
CS1 Firemen, police and other pops did go out... And good to have you back in the series keralis !!!
Also for the low-poly problem, it's a bug with early access that still needs to be fixed. All you have to do is set the details to low and then to high again.
Not early access though.
Developers just messed up big time :P
I love the way you just pick whatever you want instead of being efficient
this is so enjoyable and comfortable to watch. My computer cant run this unfortunately, but at least i got a pro like you to watch play
bro the way to make your videos reminds me of bob ross, i feel so relaxed
Hey Keralis, i remember i started watching your content over 10 years ago. I believe it was the Minecraft christmas prezzie opening. Great to see you back with Cities Skylines, i am currently playing it too and also started my train depot yesterday. Keep doing what you do, i love your creative vibe and i'll be sure to take some inspiration.
cant wait until you actually get into a building project
You can increase the strength of the brush for the trees but (more trees per area)
love you vides Keralis! Keep goin at your own pace for the series!
Soooooo happy you are playing this game!!!❤❤❤ I haven't been in this channel in ages!!! Great to hear your voice!!
i'm loving this series so far, it's such a shame you haven't uploaded it in a while (although it's completely understandable with the start of hermitcraft season 10!!) - it's really perfect to study to, your voice is so relaxing and it's just super fun to watch while i'm studying for my final exams!! thanks a lot dude! :DD the commentary is honestly amazing, i think it's my favourite part of these videos!

American Egg-Ball!!! HAHAHA I fucking love that!
We all should say that for now on, that will make them learn to call football to the right game
I've been dying to see a new city skylines series from Keralis!!!❤
I'd love a before and after picture comparison at the end of the video!
So so glad you’re playing this game. I’ve been missing city building with Keralis!
I'm in the middle of exams and the chill cities skylines videos are great. Here's some engagement so you keep it going for a while longer.
I love when you talk yourself into doing something, It's hilarious!
Please take it slow! I love the zoomed in moments and just walking through all the steps. This series is so fun so far. Your commentary is hilarious and it’s awesome to hear how you decide on things. I’m so tired of the “extreme productivity” style videos and love that I can put this on while I work and listen along.

Im one of those people who will look at the details too. I like seeing the little people interact wuth the stuff i build
Hi Keralis!
I used to watch your videos many many years ago when I used to play Minecraft, I still remember trying to build your Mountain House way back in 2014, I think it was.

Another episode so soon 😮😄 yay! My 30th birthday is tomorrow if you want to upload again tomorrow 👀 Ya ya ya i'm getting old.. but in my heart I am young. Thanks for the upload, looking forward to more city skylines and hermitcraft
Happy 30th birthday! I hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow! 🎂
@@Keralis Thank you so much Papa K! My favorite hermit saying happy birthday to me is pretty wild and wholesome wow 😄 Made my day
Omg thank you so much keralis keep up the great work😊😊😊❤❤
No not trains keralis 🤣 you started doing trains on modded Minecraft and we don't see you play that much anymore 😭. I love your face 💯💯 best creator around
I love the chill/slow progress… reminds me of the super relaxed truck simulator back in the day where you just talked about life
Miss the truck sim days
This random German counting. I Love IT xD
Love your cities videos Keralis! I love how you go over all the little tiny details, you make the most beautiful cities because of it
I love it..... i hope Cities Skylines will be long episode and intense upload.
Nice to see that nobody can wipe snow off their car and are driving blind :D hopefully roads will have snow in the future.
Papa K loving the series :) Looks like a good game to relax with
Honestly just enjoying the videos to relax after more stressful stuff. Its great to see you enjoying the game and just the little details
American Eggball! 😂 Couldn't find a better word to describe our sport. Keep it up keralis
Apparently the developers have said they are targeting 30 FPS as the ideal framerate, anything above that is a bonus. I was quite surprised by that because most developers target 60 FPS nowadays.
It's great to hear you contemplating your decisions. Perhaps I will learn something that will help me in my game.
Honestly, I just enjoy your distracted progress. When you're having fun, you talk a lot and are very entertaining. When you cram content, it sounds more forced.
So have fun, and I generally enjoy the content made... Granted I could watch you for hours be distracted and ranting. Lol
