    • @HealthHorror
      @HealthHorror 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Without music, I could never even begin to make an idea in order to want to make a film out of it. I honestly feel that all art is like music. It all requires a good rhythm to draw someone from the outside, in. if a filmmaker doesn't understand the music score of their story then the story is likely not to work. I always have songs in my head for each scene I write. Like a theme for each part. This way, when you need to revisit that scene to rewrite or add something you can go back to it's theme song and get back into the energy the scene is supposed to have.

      @birdyghostly 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yep. I’ve been trying to create my own fictional series for fun, and listening to music like this helps inspire my creativity. (Depending on what scene I’m creating)

      @@HealthHorror yes. I listen to specific music before or during I write, depending on what scene I plan on writing to make the scene better

    • @HealthHorror
      @HealthHorror 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@birdyghostly I had a film teacher who said your movie should be just as good without music and so many use music as a cheap way to make them seem better. I disagreed with him. If the music raises the entertainment then what is wrong with that? That's the point of a movie. To entertain. Who cares how it does it. My favorite director would not be as good to me if he didn't have the band that scores his movies. They are a perfect match for each other. And many times I think movies fail because they choose the wrong composer for the feel they are going for. You have to almost have a musician mindset to fully get the image you want in a story. Music and storytelling are very similar. It's all about making a good rhythm that attracts the mind.

Of course because of the cold you would expect lightned fireplaces warming the houses and smooking chimneys but there were none except for one, a distant chimney from which a scarlett red smoke was poisoning the night sky, we knew right away.....that was the place.

    While listening this awesome ambience, I came up with an idea. Why don't we all play a game like the story chain where someone would start the story and others would continue it one by one (the ones we used to play when we were kids!). Alright I start it:-
    I don't know how to describe it, its beautiful yet terrific; snow covered mountains, frigid weather and frosty forests which rarely allows sunlight to break in. The most appropriate word for it that currently comes to my mind is 'mystifying'. The moment I stepped here, the environment felt very inexplicable. Though I don't know whether to call it a proper city or not, because for every other people in this world, this would be a beautiful city apt for vacations but I think only the people who actually came here, would understand what I am saying. I'm not so sure whether tourists would come here. Few days ago my friend called me and told me about a big plot of land in this magnificent place, to make a hotel. He said that making a hotel would attract many tourists and a good source of income which we direly needed, because generally no one comes this side of Romania, and so there has never a been any hotel here. And now as I have reached here, I understood why no one comes here. If the daylight is so gloomy here, what would the night seem like. It's really awkward as I've visited Romania twice earlier but this place feels so different, not only from Romania but from the rest of the world. While on my way to here, strangely I saw no sign boards nor any milestones, just a single, nearly broken nameplate on the side of the road from where the forest starts and on it was written, "Welcome to Transylvania".
    (Make up the next part of the story)

      Meat worm

    • @Bow503
      @Bow503 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It was raining pearls now. Here and there different tones I could echolocate them immediately. It's not the first time vision got blurry, but the sound never, infact I use to be blind and in my agony I developed a superhuman skill. I never shared this with anyone but you. Because you're the only one I trust. I don't trust these trees nor I see myself opening any of the chamber doors to the possible betrayal of this unfriendly architecture and their suspicious roamers. What I see is steam finding it's way out of the shining skin of the tree trunks. I catch a breath , inhaling silently. Once the wet grass kept balding away, stones perfectly cut off, marked the end of the road. I was standing on the beginning, but also the end. As if no citizen could ever leave, was spellbound to no future outside, or free movement.
      I did feel a sudden change in temperature, I felt like I was trasspassing, I felt guilty of a humangus crime. Then again, "meat worm" dawned in my mind, bringing clarity to an existential crisis I can't put on hold any longer. In millisecond I ripped my left glove off, it was - the itch. Unmistakable. Without having to inspect it I slapped my hand on the mouth. Using my teeth I could claw the worms end and with calculated amount of force and pulling, the parasite was out. Not the first time doing this. It kept swirling around my lips it's slimy bubbly body trying to catch a grip on next flesh if it could. As if it's not enough that I'm being eaten alive by this monsters, I wasn't bareing to keep looking at it a moment more. I spat it out and projected vomit. Even though I snapped the worm with my teeth, I didn't dare to look at my hand, so I put the glove on back. Without any bad restrictions that worm was smashed unrecognizably. There's reasons I came here, that are much complex then you'd think. Spooky town, I hear your scream for me. I don't know if it's coming from excitement or from fear.

      I have been living in this Godforsaken hellscape for over a week now (or at least I think it's a week, the mind can't be trusted in a place like this). And while one can never truly acclimatise or understand the sadistic joke that is this town. I have been able to piece together something about my new crimson prison cell. To begin with the hours of light seem surprisingly little, at least in contrast to the rest of the world. It is as if the town is locked in a perpetual winter in which 'daylight' (a sickly gloom) lasts no longer that 4 full turns of the clock. Night on the other hand has more dominance here as when the void smothers the town like a dark curtain concealing the land, bestial sounds and strange macabre illusions follow. I have seen all manner of things; ethereal figures taunting me, livestock being horrible mangled or partially devoured and worse. I even hear voices from someone I recognise but they... they disappeared when I was a boy and yet I hear their voice so clearly in my ear. My newest day of purgatory played a different kind of trick on me but this was no mirage, no hysterical joke or scam this thing was real. A gentleman approached me, he was of a relatively average height and build, he adorned himself in a dark suit and purple shirt and had long dark hair that trickled down his back like wet ink flowing down a page. He examined a pocket watch before looking at me and holding out his hand.

      A strange longing to take his hand overcomes me. It is like a feeling of obligation, something I must do and feel honored in doing. I raise my hand slowly to reach out and grasp his own. I reach farther and farther until my muscles strain. I find nothing, and a stark revelation overcomes me: The man is far beyond my reach, he always was, and yet I had been so focused on him that the distance eluded me entirely. Why this man captured my attention so completely I could not say, but the question now kept me fascinated even further. I gaze at him still as a shadow crawled over the town as the flowing grey mass of a cloud passed above it. At the moment the shadow covers him he vanishes from sight completely, but not before mouthing some brief words in the instant before. In my mind I know distance and the inaudible statement should have left his words impossible to understand, yet I understand intrinsically what it was he said. "Find me." Only the aching joints of my still-raised arm finally rouse me from my contemplation. It feels like I had held my arm up for unbearably long, not in minutes but in hours. Have I been here for hours? The cloud layer made it impossible to know, but I remain shaken nonetheless. Uncertain, I retreat to the areas of town I am most familiar with, the residential and market areas where I spend most of my days. Or try to, when possible. In my subconscious thoughts the man and his words, his calling remain. I had come here on business at the suggestion of a friend, found such strange sights and things words could scarcely describe that I thought I would grow accustomed to them, but this man leaves me with a profound impact. Every time I try to dismiss him from my mind he returns like a crushing weight upon my psyche. With hours passed, I sit at my old wooden desk as I come to my determination. Whatever business I came to Transylvania for is now secondary, I must follow the path the dark, mysterious gentleman set me on. I MUST find him.

    Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
    Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
    While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
    As of someone gently rapping, tapping at my chamber door.
    "'Tis some visitor, " I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-
    Only this, and nothing more."
    Ah, distinctly I remember it was in a bleak December,
    And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
    Eagerly I wished the morrow;- vainly I had sought to borrow
    From my books surcease of sorrow- sorrow for the lost Lenore-
    For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore-
    Nameless here for evermore.
    And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
    Thrilled me- filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
    Presently to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating,
    "'Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door-
    Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;-
    Merely this, and nothing more."
    Out into the darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
    Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
    But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
    And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore!"
    This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!"-
    Merely this, and nothing more.

    The best parts about these videos are:
    1. It all sounds like one song so you can never tell the difference.
    2. This is an hour long so if you ever think of a scenario to put yourself in, and f_ck it up even the slightest, you have until the end of the video to rethink it.

    Playing a fantasy campaign in a tabletop RPG, and the party is going from an area off the coast full of fun and pirate adventures on the heels of a pirate prince in disguise. He's involved in a good deal of political intrigue in a shady Victorian city in the middle of a thick, dark magical forest.
    The carriage moves into the darkness and the atmosphere changes. No longer are there scimitar-carrying pirates singing shanties, or the whimsy of their hastily-constructed floating cities. Now, dark eyes watched you. Portions of the forest appear twisted and corrupted by something unearthly. The few people on the road avoid looking your way. The spires of the city begin to loom higher than the nearby trees as they enter the limits. Blinds shut. People head indoors. No one is even wanting to look at the carriage the party are riding in. Stores close as they pass.
    This begins to play.
    They were *CAPTIVATED.* Thanks, Cryo Chamber!

    You can hear the casual hoof as you begin working your way through the city. The hair on the back of your neck, and on your arms stand on end as you have the feeling of you being watched, even followed. You turn down a alleyway just to walk around the corner of the next street go hear nothing. Eerie silence fills the one active streets. You stop at the silence, a lone guard passing by on top of his horse. As your eyes follow you feel the hot breath of someone on your neck, finally breaking the silence with "I believe you dropped something". Your nerves feel on end as the man speaks, knowing very well you didn't drop anything. You feel a sharp thud to the back of the head, the world spinning before fading to black.

    To understand the upper quartiles of human potential is to understand our darkest proclivities, desires and abilities. While it isn’t necessary to embody these things, at least not always, it is necessary to master the potential of malevolence from within us. It is just as critical and fundamentally profound as love itself, they are an existing pair in duality and in tandem. The light does not exist without the dark, the trick is to navigate such a conception without falling prey to the overwhelming appeal or enticement of either, except that is authentically grounded in both truth and love.

    "Come forth, my beloved children of the night", whispered the Shadow, "Under daylight, you are broken and bridled, but now, behind the veil of twilight, you will bloom. So come, claim your precious boon while the night is yet young and blessed by the moon. The day-folk shall not tell us what to do. They have made a mockery of our virtues. For where we were cunning and ambitious, they found deformity and vice. Sins to be hidden and purged, they answered! The darkest of our intentions were forged by them, molded after the image of their contempt. Perversion of our once noble purpose! We are not gracious nor kind but we deserve a life of greater purpose than that of false slavery. One defined by our ends. Here me, my nefarious children of the night. We shall journey and dine where the fireflies never die."

    Townhill at night was a hard city. Especially in the Docks District, where the smog from the factories mixed with the rancid stench of the slaughter yards, and it all poured down into the teeming waters of the harbor where drunk men fell into the frigid drink and whalers tossed the bodies of unruly locals for extra pennies before their next voyage. The Bowler Street Boys were out that night, and they watched us from beneath caps pulled low over their eyes as me and my partner approached the gathering of Guardsmen around the body, the razorblades sewn into their hat brims glinting in the moonlight.
    The woman was pretty, and dressed up. Red lips and a red dress, torn some and thrown over her head. It was strange, her clothing was quite nice, far nicer than anything someone living in the Docks District could afford. She lay in a pool of her own blood, some of it still seeping from the stab wounds that littered her body, marred by fresh bruises and scrapes. The sergeant who crouched beside her looked as we approached, and stood quickly, removing his cap.
    "Detectives," he said, "you came quickly."
    "Well, we were curious when we heard," said my partner, Kiernan. "The Boys been watching this whole time?" He nodded his head in the direction of the Bowler Street Boys, leaning over the railings of a nearby tavern balcony.
    ""Yeah, thats Miss Allies, where they have their club meetings. We've been watching them for months outta there, but they been smart enough to not do nothing wrong since they figured we were on their case."
    "You dont think they did this," I asked, crouching down to examine the body myself. Her body was bruised and battered and cut all to ribbons, but her face was still pristine, other than smudged makeup. I found that interesting, and quickly pulled a notebook out of my breast pocket to write it down.
    "No, they know better than to do nothing around Miss Allies," said the sergeant. "And besides, it was a lady come outta there who reported the body. Said she thought it was her sister first, but then realized she never seen the dead woman before."
    "Think the Boys will talk to us if we question them?" my partner asked, and the sergeant shrugged.
    "Maybe, but I doubt it. People dont like guardsmen down here, you know that."
    As they spoke, I reached forward and touched the clammy flesh of the dead woman, but there was no warmth left. She must have been here for a while, though decay had not set in either. If I had to guess, she was killed only a few hours ago, probably right where she fell. But how no one heard her scream was beyond me. Her dress covered her neck, and curious, I pulled it down, to find bruising and chaffing, marked in a way that looked like rope, and a necklace, tucked under her bodice. I tugged it out, and found a circular shape, and an odd set of patterns adorning the outside, with a metal rope design spiraling around the outside of the pendant, knotted at the top where it connected with the chain. This, along with the ligature marks, and noted as well.
    "Do we know who the woman is?" I asked, looking up at her face one last time, as mysteriously unblemished as it was.
    "No, but we have a sketch artist coming down now to get her picture, and then we'll move her to the morgue."
    "Alright," I said, standing back up. "Make sure you get that pendant on her neck, I'm curious about it."
    The case was strange from the start, certainly, but it was nothing too out of the ordinary. But the longer it went on, the strange it would become, leading me down a path I had never dreamed of.

    The trees around Chateau Morbethot had always been dead. It was centuries since the last written account of the place mentioned their sprouting, and no one lived who remembered their dappled shade come the summer Sun. I wondered that they still stood, but wood so shaggily barked has known every hardship and no longer cares what assails it. It waits, knowing it cannot stop what comes.

    Layra: "they'll hiding til morning"
    Aleus: "hiding? From what?"
    Layra: "the devil who suck on blood, the vampire, they'll go around find their prey during midnight, you see this?"
    {Layra shows a revolver in her jacket}
    Layra: [no one know how it happen or how did they get here..., ...the first person who find it, is a blacksmith, after he mention about the vampire, he was gone. No one know what happen to him...] "...and until now, we've live in here, covered with fear"
    Aleus: "what about the king in the castle?"
    Layra: "useless!"
    Aleus: "what?"
    Layra: "the king left the town and vampire take over the castle, people gone month by month"
    Aleus: "s- uh..." {sad look on Aleus face}
    Layra: "a trust that people put on highly is thrown on the ground and stepped by..., ...you can't go home until the sun comes up, we'll sleep here"

    Every night Thomas's investigation took him deeper down the cities' streets, turning from smooth pavement to cobblestone and architecture that grew more Gothic and grotesque. It was rumored that even deeper there were no streets at all, but chaotic warrens of dirt paths going through squat hovels said to be long abandoned. That is where the girls were said to have disappeared, and where the Trent family believed he could find them.

Если слушать не смотря на неё можно заглянуть в себя. Успокаивает нервы. Ставлю лайк. Уводит от реальности. Время еретиков и фантастических учёных. Зачёт!!!

    You know this story. Dark and menacing clouds rapidly gather, sinister black shadows start appearing, The candlelight slowly flickers before dying..The crack of lightning followed by a crash of thunder... A mad genius. An unholy creation. The world, of course, remembers the monster, not the man. But sometimes, when you look closely, there's more to a tale. Sometimes the monster is the man.

    Dance for the Tyrant
    She had hooded eyes as dark as the coals beneath her feet that simply needed no kohl lining. The clothes fitted to her lithe figure had been draped on with great care but were made to blend in with the countless jewelry crisscrossed about her. She had the true poise of a dancer, carrying herself in grace of a fallen royal. And when she danced the jewelry across her hip conversed with the music almost shyly.
    As the tall doors to the bed chamber fell open, the music from the piano echoed through the high ceilinged chamber along with the sizzling of the coals beneath her. He stood at the entrance motionless in pristine evening clothes as his lady of the evening moved elegantly around the fuming section of their bed chamber. He looked out of the place without a single blemish on him. A crowd followed in after him, she had asked for witnesses. She wanted the whole world to know where her heart housed.
    There was no need for secrecy. He always walked into the pleasure house with his head held high; he held his stance during the day for the empire so was it so great a crime for him to seek serenity during the night?
    She wished what she saw in his eyes for her were love, she truly did even as she knew better. Her feet spoke to the music notes in the air as her body conversed with the music. She danced on and on, her form never quivering even though as she had to battle to maintain her face; the heat burning through her delicate skin. She was made to dance, the best of the skill but even she had not been taught precedently to dance on burning coal.
    He stood anesthetized by her sentiments for him; the root of which ran deeper than any blade or flame could ever pull out. The flute joined in along with the piano, the tune instigaing her to dance along further. The sparks from the coals licked through her flesh almost lazily, as if knowing this lover would not run away too soon. Her grace showed even as she felt herself burning. She danced like she’d been taught to, smiling every time her eyes met her nightly companion’s light eyes even across the shadows on his face. She had enough practice of dancing from a young age; brought up to be loved by several but never held during the day.
    He would not jump in to get her away. She knew that too well. The beloved emperor could not afford to get deep burns or the empire could meet its downfall.
    On and on her hips swayed to the music carried her even as the temperature of the room increasing by several degrees. Her belly chains making their own music. Her lady stood by mouth hanging open in shock and disappointment, refusing to believe her own eyes as their most frequented artisan ruined the soles of her feet earning scars which would never fade having kissed the flames once. “Yali” she mouthed, devastated.
    Yali could almost hear the next words: ‘Who will love you now that you have charred your skin for another man?’
    But Yali did not need another lover, the emperor alone made sure the brothel was well taken care of for his nightly person resided there and this was her only income.
    The crowds’ eyes moved from the dancer to the man who had taken a seat by the bed and had moved from the entrance now. When the sole lights casted by the flaming charcoals finally lit his face, his face revealed to be as impassive as ever. He was merely calmly watching the scene unfold. Did the emperor, His Majesty set her up to this? He surely never suggested nor fathomed such a thing.
    The emperor cared for her. He truly cared for the one who warmed his bed on nights when the world decided to stow her burdens on his shoulders. He needed her by his side on nights when his wife, the empress only added further to his weary loads. He cared for her just enough to not overturn the empire, just enough to not lay by her as dawn broke even when his once marriage of love to the empress threatened to throttle him. He cared for her… but she knew he could also find her replacement if she were ever to be gone.
    Behind walls he was known as a tyrant on battle grounds, never ceasing to throw even his dearest ones to ensure they still won; that he still won. He was said to lack emotions but Yali knew he cared, just cared about majority over a precious one.
    Why did she take up this task then?
    Yali had no solid answer to this question. All she knew was she had taken one look at His Majesty’s sleeping form and decided she wanted to express how much she loved him and there was truly no better way.
    She still thought this was the best choice even as she felt the scorching heat reach her constricted chest. Still she kept her smile on, doing her best to hold in.
    She continued to dance the night away even as the musicians grimaced at her state. Yali knew she must look far from pretty by now. She had asked the women to apply the least makeup today as she knew it would all melt away. She had asked for more cheery jewelry instead. The sisters; as she called them had looked at her in surprise as she almost always refused to put on too much jewelry but had happily decked her up having heard she was going to perform for the emperor today. They knew it would be some sort of love confession to the man, having asked for audience but even they trembled by the door having looked at the state of her.
    Despite the audience’s terrified hushed silence, the jewelry across her lithe figure met each other and created chimed beautifully, almost as if it were a language to only be spoken behind the closed doors of the bed chamber of two star crossed lovers. The onlookers looked away at such bashful euphony.
    Only when the music came to an end did she stop. Even so, she continued till the last beat.
    And when she stopped to bow gracefully, a flame in her eyes that could not be overthrown even by the harsh flames beneath the charring coals. The emperor’s breath almost hitched; almost. Her eyes were glued to his even as she slowly made her way across the room, almost as if there were no coals and it was all an illusion. But looking closer at her anyone could tell she’d been to hell and back. All of her dark hair obediently cascading down across her dainty back. Her face flushed red and damp. He stood up when she was few steps away from him still and the room gasped, surely their emperor His Majesty standing up before someone.
    Yali’s face relaxed further as she stepped away from the coal as though her dance persona had melted away and she’d been left bare; the raw her and only for her lover.There was an almost unmistakable hint of rush at her pace as she reached him. it was then that her body decided to give out, her eyelids shutting themselves at their own accord as the emperor caught her in his arms. None of it mattered as she had finally gotten what she’d wanted.

    everything in colours of black and white...so much so that your vision has adjusted to your soul...as dark as the middle of the night...the hoot of a nearby owl, the scraping sound of paper against the pen, the shadowy forms flitting past your closed chamber...the grandfather clock resounding ever again that it's time for you to sleep...but sleep shall not come as it seems, since you've got company...that which only you can feel...neither see nor smell...if only...

It is a great novel that incorporates mystery and horror in a brilliant way (though sometimes the horror parts of the novel are lacking consistency as they aren't that scary).
