I'm sorry, but Abby has such high standards and unrealistic expectations that she will never find someone. I have a friend who is exactly like her. She's 37, and she can't find a guy because she won't budge on her expectations, and then she complains about being alone forever
With the mom being the one reaching out, Abby should do it. Getting the mother's approval is an initial hurtal. She needs to get out of her head and out of her own way.
Her requirements leave her in the 1 percentile of those that will find what she's looking for. Over 6ft, over 100k income, single (obviously). Just leave her single. It's gotten old.
I think it wouldn't hurt to at least talk to him over the phone. Or, a quick lunch date. Since Abby's no was based on not knowing much, she should ask for a social media profile. That way, she can deep dive into all the questions she has. Based on what mom has written, he seems pretty solid. Good luck to both!
1000% agree. She isn’t ready until she pulls out of the depression into finding herself and starts getting to know men for who they are and not her unrealistic idea of a man who she can’t handle
Do you think it's possible her latest depression stems from her not receiving the onslaught of attention post nose job? I mean, that would probably depress me.

She's definitely not 37, she's not even 30.
@@kaylasmith5439 I know. I'm just saying that my friend is 37 and hasn't had any success in dating because of her mindset
Opposites Attract to a certain point you have to have somewhat similar values and morals.
The person who shuts down and the person who speaks up

Abby is insufferable. Let her be alone. The guy dodged a bullet.
Have coffee. We need an update
