Overdue Overnight: Hammock Camping in an Autumn Forest

- Krik and stony hike into the beautiful golden forests of the Pennsylvania mountains for a day of exploring and a night of restful sleep hammock camping. Ideally they would have spent more than just one night under the stars, but one night in the autumn forest is better than none.

When i first got into Bushcraft nearly 10 years ago, youtube was teaming with Bushcraft channels, that i subscibed too and watched regularly. They were the good ones.
As the years went on alot of the channels video uploads have came few and far between and some have stopped completely.
When i go out and i am doing something that i have learnt from one of the guys like you that doesn't upload anymore, i remember who i learnt it from and its kind of shit that they are no longer an active channel.
Hope all is well and hope to see something from you again, i have came a long way from my early days and you were a part of my early days. 👍🏻

Enjoyed the video ! I hammock camp as well and love it. I don't care for instant coffee at all. I used to use a coffee drip from GSI but now I use a small two cup coffee percolator and it is awesome !

Hey there!! Great to see you back again. You are absolutely right about PA. I live not far from the Brandywine valley. Took this past week off from work and hiked almost everyday. Eastern PA has some great woods as well. Can't wait for another video like this, please.

So good to see another Black Owl vid! This was super relaxing to watch while I was stuck at work. Great editing and production as always.
Stumbled across your channel today and loved this video. I grew up living in the Laurel Highlands not too far from Pittsburgh, but I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah about a year ago. Utah obviously is an incredible place to enjoy the outdoors, but there's nothing like Autumn in PA. Thanks so much for this video that made a homesick Pennsylvanian very happy.

I agree with you regarding PA in the fall. Was in NW PA in October, wandering & exploring around Allegheny National Forest. Always enjoy being out there. I usually carry small packets of instant coffee &/or tea bags; drink them hot or cold.

I prefer using the French Press for my coffee, but when I am camping, I use Folgers coffee pads doubled up. They act like tea bags and the result is surprisingly good. Where in PA was this shot? I live in the extreme eastern part of the state, right on the border with New Jersey. About an hour north of Philadelphia.

Good to see you guys out in the woods again. For me it has to be the coffee press with a nice course dark roast. Takes up a bit of space but you can pack so smaller items in it for transport. Fuel for the body.
