Sport contact 7's aren't available in 18". 19" + only.
Who's tuning it?
Tom wrigley or WG Motorworks?
Tom Wrigley knows his stuff but give Morebhp in Crewe a go b58 specialists can't fault there maps
@@ashw8890 that’s where I’m taking mine 👍
@@Addselwyn there top lads mate, know there b58s I got my 240i stage 2+ done by them putting out 471bhp and 704nm torque things an animal just need a lsd know as can't put the power down for shit even with Eagle f1 supersports,b8s powerrflex bushes etc gotta get a lsd Just gotta do more over time lol
@@ashw8890 sounds perfect thanks , I’m stage 2+ 467 and 676 , I’m having a Vargas GC fitted hoping for around 520 on 99 Ron
@@Addselwyn that will be rapid fella, all the best 👍
That’s the whole point with these cars, it something you build to your liking and roads. You make it yours, no car or mopar…
Definitely will be following along for some idear to upgrade my m240i iv just picked up this weekend I totally understand where you are coming from with how it feels 100%
Ive just been in a stock one of these and they are scary quick so can't imagine how this feels
Thought this was a Lockwood video when I saw the “brutally honest” title
The bonnet and bumper are getting gapped lol
You could fit a Nokia in that!
As a 135 gang member.. I agree.. you'll find the bush quickly on a sleepy morning
Anybody with adaptive dampers on these and changed to Bilsteins B8’s, did you find it made much of a difference? Other than the worst surfaced roads mine feels pretty solid apart from traction at the rear lets go under acceleration. I’ve never felt this floaty sensation moving about. Debating whether it’s worth the change for adaptive but, I hear for passive it’s night and day. Stage 2+ manual 3 door, loving it! Power flex bushes and the underbody brace should make a big difference I’m told.
I'll start with an LSD and go from there
Get the adaptives programmed out, they are way better as they end up in a mid position between comfort and sport which suits the spring rate.
@@philiphawkins4684 interesting… 👀 I’ll need to code them out for changing the suspension anyways so I’d try that in the way. I don’t find the sport mode too harsh on all urn the worst country roads though.
@@a20axf I change to a set of bilstein b14s that why I had the programmed out, drove around for a week before fitting up the b14s and I regret going for them.
@@philiphawkins4684 yeah went for a drive yesterday with a couple of mates, one with an M5 and another with a GTR. Didn’t have any issues other than a very slight amount of novelty can tell that brave will sort out. I’ll maybe pop lowering springs on but don’t think I need the Bilstein B12 kit tbh. Maybe if I start tracking it but, probably unlikely.
No shadow edition wheels. Nice mods. Be interested how many miles for 26k??
Had an M240i manual few years ago, fastest car I had owned. Didn’t really have much to compare it with handling wise in terms of fast cars. Bought a 6.2 c63 a few months ago, now i understand. Even the c63 without an lsd and 120bhp up is so more predictable, with traction on or off. So much more planted. Obviously this is the difference between AMG’s/M cars and normal performance models, the way they are set up. End of the day the M140i is exactly the same chassis as a 118i m sport, just with a 3.0 straight six in. I remember in the wet with traction control on turning right/left at lights in junctions in second gear, half throttle the back end would jump out without warning, had a few hairy moments. Worryingly these were so easily accessible a few years ago, stupid deals, I remember seeing £299 a month, ridiculous for the car. The amount of 20 year olds jumping into these from a 1.6 old VW must of been ridiculous. Doesn’t surprise me it’s one of the most wrote off cars in the country!
Now he wants a dsg box🤣🤣... nice review Ricky
Just bought one of these in manual, excited to see you get an LSD as ill probs follow what u say
🐑
@@multipreach2674 hes got alot more experience with high performance cars than me so surely makes sense to listen to him
Such a popular car right now but you can see why! Cheap to buy and so strong even when running mad power!!
What chemical do you put for the car to dry out faster
You can buy a genuine BMW brace heard it improves the handling. Also poly bushes, stabiliser kit and coil over kit should sort it
Were did you bought the carbon interior?
Nice, what is the beat used at 3.30?
Car looks sick outdoors man👌🏿
Mi fam works in a plant in north london up in Edmonton like where they recycle cars. He says they get more BMW's, spesh these 1 models, than any other cars coming in proper wrecked, most of em only a couple of years old. I reckon that rear wheel driving business catches out inexperienced fellas spesh with all that mega power they put down. Its a shame so many of them go to the scrapper.
The championship edition is the top of the range for this model, 30 only ever made, although 3 have been written off from what I gather !
What's the opinion on 340i in terms of balance and losing composure, I've only driven 340i curious to how it compares?
Yes looks powerful man would be perfect daily
Loved watching this video bro even though I’m fully stage 1 and completely happy at that 🤣👌
I'd love to see what a 19 year olds insurance quote on one of these would be. My nephews just paid 2k to insure a 1.2 diesel Polo
Cheapest quote for me (putting 19 as the age) was £7.5k in a low insurance area lol
@@bandokaysauntie8666 Haha 😄
Love my shadow edition manual m140. I have a bcs catback exhaust on the way. Just saving up for the mega expensive diff, but definitely needs it
Isnt that next to woburn safari park?
Come on Ricky bro 😎
I had mine done by Tom wrigley. 👌🏼
Such a shame we can’t get these in the states. I’d own one in a second.
She’s looking sharp very sharp…:) 🥂
