In this game you are stuck in a time loop and you need to figure out what mystery has brought you here. 12 minutes is actually really fun, the puzzles are very interesting and it's a really unique experience. The time loop mechanic is really fun to mess with and I hope you enjoy the video of me doing exactly that! I get most of the "main" endings in this video and complete the entire game. Honestly, I think Insym was the one who was making it more frustrating than it had to be. Like trying to talk about things that clearly wouldn't work with her without proving that there was a time loop first (since we know she'll only deny / play dumb unless you prove the loop's existence).
Like yeah, puzzle games are hard and I don't fault him for it, but at the same time you can't be confused about something not working when you do it out of order despite knowing that you have to talk to her first about the loop before she'll open up to you.
Don't get me wrong, I love Insym and his videos, so maybe that's just me being overly nitpicky. I could never play games like he does, so I don't wanna come off as complaining or argumentative. Sorry if it does in advance.

So the dad cheats on his wife and has a child but it's THE CHILD'S fault that the family gets destroyed?!?!? WTF?!?!? This storyline is good but man does it enrage me!!!
In the eyes of the wife the boy destroyed the family. She watched her mom descend into madness. From her point of view her dad messed up but the child was who drove her mom to death and then killed her father
And even at the final ending the daughter of the Man dies from cancer
its not the kids fault, but in the eyes of the mother and the wife it is. Because to them it wasn't just the cheating that drove the family apart, it was the kid produced from the cheating

Love this game but it's hard because we are not sure about the main character's goal at every step, and it takes lots of logic and observation. Watched several streamers playing this game and you are the fastest to solve all the puzzles. Some streamers just spent 2 hours repeating the same stuff without making any progress and it's def not fun to watch. I enjoy your play-through sooo much! Thank you!
You mean like MatPat calling the cops at the start of every run because he thinks he'll make it to 15 minutes in a game called TWELVE minutes? That kind of stuff? xD He was constantly trying to wait out the time loop, and it was excruciating to watch.

this is a really interesting game! I love puzzles where you use something late game that seemed insignificant early game. sucks that chat was so insistent on spoiling it but that just shows that we should always be forever thankful to the wonderful mods

Once the whole "nanny name being a flower came up," I IMMEDIATLY thought the nanny is his mother since it mentioned towards the beginning that was his mothers name. It lined up they are half-siblings.

I spent my birthday watching this and had so much fun! ☺️ I love how detailed this game is. The twist at the end really surprised me so much lol. Also, I noticed that after you admitted to your wife you killed her father, she didn't say anything or try to stop the cop when he was strangling you.

One of the most brilliant game I've ever known. The story is so gripping and compelling, unraveling from a simple objective to convince the 'wife' about time loop into much darker secrets.
i just now finished watching the video all the way through i even rewound to understand more of it cuz i did fall asleep once while watching cuz it was late lol but i reallly enjoyed this video man good work on it and id love to see u play more games like this

I'm more impressed that you managed to play the game for almost 5 hours staight. For me it crashed 10 times in 1 hour and I just gave up
Hey Insym. I know this is on an older video, but this was such an incredible thrill to watch you play from start to finish. I was invested in this to the point I was quite literally jumping out of my chair at points. Every twist and turn really caught me by surprise, yet never felt too contrived. I appreciated your commentary as we all went along through this experience.

the story is a bit yucky
Wow, this game is something else. All the different dialogues made for every little nuance of the playthrough is really feels like an alive story we watch, and not just three-options-visual-novel. Clearly a lot of thoughts and love were put into the story and how it would work in form of a game.
Not sure if they had to throw that twist in the middle, kinda made the game really depressing towards the end, since solving the mystery and creating that happy and wholesome ending for everybody - sort of in a human nature to achieve. So it was really sad to know, that all other possible outcomes didn't get better, neither providing any satisfaction. But that's how some games are, they gift us exellent experience and thoughts to ponder on, but they don't have to be "happy".
World needs more time-looped games, cuz this is awesome! Thank you for sharing your experience with us ❤

TBH his ability to not let the few ruin the experience for him made this all the more enriching of an experience, it felt more of a solo person playing rather than a group effort in just the right way, like how it's better to have more fun as a group playing the surveillance duty games, it does feel like him working on these solutions himself were a lot better

Insym, i enjoy all of your content including this one, but this one also gave me super anxiety lol. Your overthinking drove me insane, BUT I think it was how the game was laid out because you're right, the progression on some loops felt so out of context. I guess that's what made this a good game and a good watch even through the anxiety haha cheers.
Didn't think this would be the video for me but I'm 2 hours deep and so invested i might stay up until 5am to finish it. I really hope Outer Wilds goes on sale soon, I'll pick it up in an instant.
The timelines get really wonky at the end. If the moment in the study is supposed to be when he kills his father, then why doesn't he show any signs of the bullet wound that she gave him seven days earlier? And how does he forget that he's her brother if that only happens in the timeline where he does *not* kill his father? The game *starts* with father shot three times, brother doesn't remember anything, which never happens. Also the later scene in the study explicitly has her pregnant, something which cannot have occurred more than a month or so prior, yet the father knows about it eight years ago? Also he's the cop for some reason? This event *never* happens.
Honestly, the story loses all direction at the end. He *cannot* have killed his father and chosen to forget everything in the same timeline. And if he loved her enough in the original timeline to kill to stay with her, *WHY* would he freak out when he suddenly remembered that? He KNEW at that point he was getting into an incestuous relationship, he still WANTED it, it would NOT freak him out eight years later. And it can't be because of the baby, because the time loop starts before he even knows they're having one.
It just feels like they were banking 100% on the shock factor preventing anyone from thinking it through. Or anybody being aware of the Westermark effect. That gut reaction we get when it comes to family is an instinct, it's not something you learn, it's not some aspect of mystical morality. Whomever you grow up with is your imprinted family, even if they're not blood related, and blood relations you didn't grow up with do not trigger it any more than strangers do. Their father's reaction is understandable, as he is the only person who has BOTH of them imprinted as relatives, hers is as well since it will subject her to society's scorn and she's clearly aware of the implications for her baby, but his makes no sense because he already knew.
I dunno, maybe they had a different ending in mind originally and changed it, but nothing adds up and the protagonist makes no sense.
this game has very few things to interact with but the story is so elaborate and well done that this game fits together as the perfect puzzle.
One minute in and im already overthinking things 12 minutes in 4 hours 🤔🤯 you're making my Sunday in bed a good one.

I love this game, it is so cool.. It is like Subaru (ReZero) everytime he made a mistake (death)... Subaru but in a modern time and not Isekai'd. 😂
If you like "Outer Wilds" you may also enjoy "The Forgotten City" (it started out as a Skyrim mod but it's a standalone game now, on steam). Not exactly horror, but really enjoyable and beautiful imo (also time loop, exploration topics).

lol, Insym definitely has a point with puzzles being hard for the sake of being hard vs being hard yet solvable.
However, this game is showing me that Insym isn’t exactly a puzzle master, which makes me wonder how many solvably hard puzzles he’s encountered and thought they were being hard just to be hard.
I don't know how to comment on this. I don't think I did bad at all, the recommended game time is 6-8 hours

Dude. This follows all the time loop tropes. The stubborn as fuck loved one. The dying over and over. And even the mid movie "happy ending" that gut wrenches the audience at the last second. Then the rushing to get back to that and scaring the loved one and being completely stumped. Just all the tropes. 😂
