i think what makes this game so good even if you're a retail employee is that the customers dont get to throw fits. they just get their shit, pay, leave. it's so nice. also no manager breathing down your neck about quotas. it's just doing basic math, repetitive tasks, and organization which scratchy the brain reeeeeeaaaal good

As someone who has done some coding, I think the customer ai go into the first line that’s open, regardless of how long the line is, which is probably less resources then checking each cash register to find the shortest line. At least I hope since they would be the same difficulty to implement

I can explain why the cash register glitch works and why it'd be so difficult to patch. Because the game most likely requires an active cash register it will always place a default cash register because there isn't one and it would be difficult to change this because there has to be a cash register to do anything otherwise you softlock the game
