I remember getting this game for Christmas. I’m 31 now I still love it. Vintage gaming; or heck, gaming in general is very comforting for folks like me with with depression, and anxiety. This nostalgic gem makes my heart happy. Hugs to all you 90’s kids 💖🦄👽👾
Yeah the pressure of career, money sucks... i can relate with anxiety depression and old school video games as an escape.. i dont really play em but ill surf around on TH-cam watch em for a bit or have em playin in the back ground. Im 37
Don't sweat it. Many Millennials are down in the dumps because of high expectations. I suggest a new career change, one that doesn't involve gender studies of other bullshit.
It's an interesting retrospective, because I remember having some real trouble with this one back in the day. Not as much as Tailspin or Terminator 2, but clearly the gamer in me both remains and has improved. I look at it now and could easily see myself reacting timely and appropriately to the obstacles.
The sprites, backgrounds, and terrain just look so nicely done. Even if they replaced Ariel with some generic fish hero, the presentation just shined with charm. Capcom knows games (old games anyways)
Capcom has admirably done an outstanding job with Disney game adaptations. Hell, Ducktales got their Moon theme adapted to the TV reboot. Megaman franchise. Onimusha was my favorite off the newer franchise. They came a long way.
I remember renting this game at a video rental store at my grandparent's town when I was a kid and playing it all weekend long. I was a big fan of this movie as a kid and I loved the graphics in this game. It was pretty impressive for it even though the game itself wasn't all that challenging but I still had so much fun getting to play my favorite cartoon characters in a game.
2000s kid here. I grew up with the GBA. Today, I found a bootleg GBA game called “Finding Nemo 3.” Curious as to what it was, I bought it for only three dollars. I powered it up to test it out, and it had a cheap splash screen of Finding Nemo, followed by this game. (Though its title was replaced with Finding Nemo 3.) What a weird way to learn about this title.
wait! OMG! i just first time relize i see it made by capcom! Imagine Marvel vs Capcom with ariel in it lol even jojo fighting game was made by capcom too
When I was a kid I bought this on Gameboy. It was cheap at a thrift store and even though I was a boy and it was a girly game, I wasn't going to pass up a cheap game. I beat it the same day but was shocked how much I enjoyed it.
Played this when i was a kid takes me back to the 90's as I was a young kid,was never embarassed playing as I did not care as long as it was entertainment, this is coming from a man who also played the sabrina pc game, video games dont have to be gender exclusive, gaming is what brings people together:)
First time even seeing this game is this video here. Uh, that cutscene is an *interesting* take on the story. I know it's trying to cut out a lot of story from a very story-driven movie, but, jesus. edit- 5:55 Oh that is adorable.
I remember the time when I have a checklist of the games I haven't finished. This one and The Goonies are the last game I've finished from our famicom lol. Ursula is that punk witch I gotta say. Hahaha Good times...... ❤
I used to play this everyday. the only thing that bothered me with the version I played is that every word with letter "n" was replaced with the letter "x" ex. "Press start buttox" lol xD
Omg I remember this game!!!! It came in the super game vcd 300 with a bunch of other classics like the OG Super Mario, Contra, Bomber man... ugh the good times!!! I’m only 16 tho I’m not an 80’s kid lol!!!! Ooooh almost forgot my granma still has the cd in Cuba😭😍😍😍
This is the game of my childhood, despite me being a boy ^_^ (And i'm still da man XD) Is there any other men out there who loved (and still love) playing this game? ^_^
u still can play it on laptop or cpu.search for little mermaid ROMS n then the emulator that will play the game.very easy.i still play few of my fav games for memories.
Honestly, of all the Disney Princesses, I think Ariel is the coolest. She's actually quite resourceful, probably more than Jasmine. And that's saying a lot. Then again, it's always been a VERY close tie between the two for me.
I'm a guy and remember I LOVED playing this as a kid, it brings back so much memories, but I think my dad didn't want me playing it because he thought it would make me gay.
Alright: So Ariel is a super commando. Ursula wanted to take over the oceans so she sent Ariel away at no cost (since Ariel can clearly talk). And Ursula made the right move because the second Ariel learns what’s going on she abandons her man and goes full murder mode, returns to the ocean, and obliterates Ursula, super Ursula and her whole army. Ariel has the same killing powers as Klanoa. And she can hold shells and kill with them very similar to Mario. The final boss fight is very similar to the final fight in Super Mario World.
I tried to rent this game when I was a kid, but when I got home they mixed up "little mermaid" and "little nemo" and I got "little nemo" instead. Little Nemo is a great game though so I didn't really care in the end.

Why does an angel suffer from depression?

Michaela B. I concur Michaela! The game’s music just popped in my mind and I came to TH-cam to find this walk through.

I love how radically different the story is compared to the movie. Even as a kid I was baffled. Still, one of my childhood favorites!

Кейти Тамира i do. I was a bit of a "Arielholic"
👍
Not ashamed I played this a lot back when I was a young boy. I find this a lot harder than contra tbh
Summer Sonata lol!
Had this game on the gameboy pocket.
I cleared this whole game several times in the past. So good to reminisce those past
bringing back the memory...the summer break when my favorite aunt was visiting and we'd take turns beating this game
That Ost and the game are so really impresive in NES i really fun playing this game . OMG the AREA 2 music
14:55 to 17:27 That music reminds me of Mariana, a girl who played with me in our childhood.
