Guess it would help if your video mentioned that 240AC should be disabled with a lockout before disassembling and touching the live wires in the heat pump.
I cleaned my unit for the first time in about 15 years the other day. Just put a hose pipe to it and cleaned the unit out. The difference was like night and day. I had to turn the air con off as the house was getting too cold. Just make sure you take the fuse out before doing anything to the unit.
I remember when it was that easy to clean my heat pump out finally bit the bullet and updated my system to a Trane xv20i pretty much need a step ladder and a shot back to clean out the bottom of the thing cuz the thing comes up to my neck weird how these things have gotten so tall these days.
As stated, the FIRST STEP is to throw the outdoor breaker at the sub-panel .... no exceptions, especially since you're accessing the electrical parts AND using water! Otherwise a pretty good video.
Have you heard about using Cold Plus refrigerant additive to get colder air and use less electricity? I heard that both commercial and residential units are saving between 8% to 18% utility bill savings...is that possible?

I enjoyed your presentation. Informative and well done. I wish you guys were closer to Western North Carolina.

Be sure to drop power at the local disconnect before you do anything! Let unit dry a bit after cleaning before re-energizing
Do I just just pull the discount out?
Seems like you guys do a very good and thorough job I’m in the heating and cooling, refrigeration too awesome job

Good video thank you. Though the current and run time should be converted to kWh to better illustrate energy savings before and after.
Do you check the amps readings on the run winding of the compressor? Or which winding?
Thank You for All that you are doing for our Planet Earth....
Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste .. 🙏🏻 😊 ✌ ☮ ❤ 🕊
the reduction in cost will come from the operating time of the compressor, as it will work less time

Great Vid Chris, Mike and Taylor. I'm going to do this tomorrow. Thank Y'all. I thumbed up and subscribed.
How much do you charge for this maintenance?
Use a nozzle on your hose and a coil gun for more efficient cleaning.
Thank you for the knowledge, success for "Russell ..." ... Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia attended
can you use a pressure washer to clean your unit?
You risk damaging the coil fins with too much pressure. Regular garden hose will suffice
U don't need to replace the contact..be honest with the homeowner and with uuu
I hope the first thing you did was pull the fuse in the box before opening up the electrical panel :)
Excellent video. Thank you

"I heard that both commercial and residential units are saving between 8% to 18% utility bill savings...is that possible?"
NOPE!!!
Should have used a brush first and stronger water pressure!
Reuben Ryabchuk Pressure washer is too powerful. It will damage coil
The first thing you should do is cut the power!!!
Routine maintence, up grade this system...
I did it with Avasva plans.
The only thing I learned out of this video is Mike and Taylor's name thanks for nothing
