Thank you so much for the incredibly kind words about our 017 FET, we put everything we've got into making the best mics possible and glad it is recognized and it really does pair well with your beautiful voice. This video has made our day
It does sound amazing. If I was serious about recording I would buy one. I was also impressed with the MA-67. I was looking for a mic for ham radio, I have a tube preamp with balanced outputs going into my radio and wanted clean punchy audio.
After much research, I've upgrade my girlfriends mic from a LCT 540 to a WA8000. The wa8000 just hits different! She doesn't know it's being delivered tomorrow! Can't wait.
The Soyuz 017 Tube is my absolute dream mic to buy. Out of my budget at the moment as I put all my money on my girlfriend and kids for now but one day in the far future, whu knows.... ...and it also looks so good... (very important as I truly believe, good looking things makes you more inspired and motivated).
Just wanted to say thank you for helping me make the right decision when I recently purchased my new microphone. Your videos are straight forward with no sugar coating. It is rare to stumble upon such a creator like yourself now these days. I will give you a follow on Spotify as well because we share the same flow. I'm new to the Spotify list if you want to listen to my only song released so far. Austin Crawford. Thank you and look forward to searching on how to use an interface for the first time.
I have a question, please. Which do you think is better for vocals, Rode NT2a or SM7db? Also, MVX2U and Scarlett Solo 2i2, which is better? I await your response. Thank you.
If you want a crispy detailed vocal, the NT2-A would be my pick (Note: your room will need to be acoustically treated since this mic picks up even the softest sounds). If you want a more durable mic that offers great sound and doesn't pickup room noise... the SM7B is the way to go.
Thanks for your honest opinion as usual mate, i recently got Austrian Audio OC 16 it's similar to AKG c214 and happy with the result getting out of it.
Hi! I own an nt1a. I want something new and i'm not shure what to choose between lewitt lct440 pure, shure sm4 and aston origin. Please give me an advice! Thanks
All mics are pretty good in prepared room. But... Soyuz 017. Its just different world. All other mics were like with a tons of air, which also partly covered the instrument, but soyuz had direct sweet voice by keeping full range of backgroup instruments. Its just feels more tamed in a mix. Unfortunatelly its way to expensive. I think to try 1973 but from review perspective - its seems to be dark, probably won't fit as allrounder. Only voice, but not guitar, which I mainly aim.
The Rode NT1 is one of the best mics you can get at under $200... if you are looking to upgrade to something a touch better, I would go with the AKG C214.
Why did you said thats The Fet 018 IS the Best ? The Sound IS On Stage (present), but Its sounded a Bit muffled in Your recording ? I think that the Lct and AKG where better. The MA-67 IS good for that price but ITS Not Very Present( On Stange ). I mean there a Still Eq,s. But that are interesting pick's to be honest👍. Could you Try Sometime in the Future the Gear4Music SubZero VX 01? Its Looks and sounds very interesting for the price.
Sir I'm professional singer. I'm using Brihringer c3 microphone with adient ID4 interface with these products can i get professional output!!? Or give me mic Suggestion in budget
Thomann actually have 211 microphones under Vocal microphones. Under this falls the SM58 for example. And 417 under Large Diaphragm. This inlucides the SM 7 B. Okay, that's a bit exaggerated since there are 5 bundles with the SM 7 B includd in that 417. I suppose they still have about 200 though.
The NT1 5th Gen is a great mic, but I personally never really use USB mics in my studio. If you need the USB option, it's great... otherwise, I would go for the NT1 Signature series and save an extra $100 well I am at it.
I use the icon pro for my voice overs in the beginning parts of my videos. It's a great microphone for that. I haven't tested it on instruments yet, but I'm sure it will work well.
Are you wanting 1 microphone to pickup both your voice and ukulele at the same time? If that's the case I would get a condenser with a more traditional cardioid polar pattern. The icon is going to have trouble getting a good field of view of both voice and instrument unless the ukulele is held right up to your face.
@@EdwardSmithMusic Thank you. Im looking to record vocals and am thinking about Rode nt1 signature series, nt1 5th generation and the se2200a, and am unsure. What would you go with? (I would likely get the scarlett solo 3rd generation if I got the signature series or se2200a)
if you didn't invest anything in your room treatment. Then Buy something like Rode NT1 and all rest money - invest into acoustic stuff for your room. Doesnt matter how much you will invest into mic. Mostly - the better mic, the worse it will be in a room without any treatment. Coz, they are normally more sensitive to reflections and all trash which will come back into mic with your voice and guitar.

@soyuzmics please consider sending me or discounting me an 017❤
I think the Soyuz sounded best. Beautifully made too! Unfortunately it's a bit out of reach for me price wise.😅
Send him one

Have you compared the 017 FET to the tube version and which do you prefer? Or is it just a cost consideration?
Thanks for the shoutout and kind words on the LCT 640 TS! Overall, an amazing sounding lineup 🔥
My 640 TS will be here tomorrow WOO HOO!
Lewitt goes hard
As soon as that WA8000 came on I got chills ❤
Its sad when superhuman musicians have to do gear reviews to make it in the industry. Love your vocals. Keep it up.
Wow thank you for this info and your voice is so beautiful and powerful! Please keep sharing your light!

I love the mic shootouts but I mostly watch the videos for your vocals. So good!
Thank you so much! Make sure you Pre-Save my upcoming release 🙏🏻
That 8000 🔥🔥🔥
017 fet sounded the best if you want a full clean sound also sounds like it has a flatter freq curve which is good
My boy killing them vocals as usual ❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man!!
Great review as always - I've been recommended the Roswell Colares - have you reviewed it?
Dude your voice is insane, beautiful demo for each mic.
Hi Edward! Would you recommend the RODE NT1 Signature Series or the Melon MA-67 for recording vocals and guitar? thank you!
Akg sounds absolutely amazing
Damn dude your vocals are sick

Hi Edward. I'm split between buying Rode NT1 5th gen and AT2020. Can you make comparison video on these two ?
Get the nt1
Thanks for your honest opinion as usual mate, i recently got Austrian Audio OC 16 it's similar to AKG c214 and happy with the result getting out of it.

Hey edward ive seen all your mic comparison videos and i really wondering what it would sound like if you use all your favorite mics together
Great idea!
such a beautiful voice, and thanks for the mic review
Everyone's talking about the Microphones, but are we gonna ignore this man's singing talents?
Im confused between at 2020 , lct 240 pro, at 2035 or akg p220 suggest which one is the best

Your original is super good, man. Added!
Which focal length lens u using inside your studio room please tell me❤❤ love from India🙏🏻
Soyuz mic are very good, but i think personally for you voice is better c 214 or 8000, it highlights well the natural high frequencies in your voice

Love your singing
Akg 214😍 high end clarity
Thanks!
Can you do a review for the WeissKlang L1?
what is a good upgrade from the rode nt1 a under $200 also i love your videos
The Rode NT1 is one of the best mics you can get at under $200... if you are looking to upgrade to something a touch better, I would go with the AKG C214.
@@EdwardSmithMusic OH MY GOD NO WAY! YOU ACTUALLY RESPONDED! YOUR MY FAVORITE TH-cam CREATOR! I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS ALL THE TIME! TYSM
I would like to know your opinion on the vanguard v13
what xrl cable is he using for the MA-67?
What do you think about Austrian Audio OC18 ??
Austrian Audio make great microphones. I’ve tested the C414… still have to test the OC18… should be a great mic though 🫡
You planning on doing a 2024 audio interface video soon?
What you looking for exactly? Minifuse 4 is making the top unless you wanna spend 2k on an RME

Rode n1 signature series or MA67?
Both are good mics. For me the MA-67 sounds better, and the fact that it's cheaper is a bonus.
LCT 640 was the cleanest
would you recomend the earthworks icon pro for streaming and vocals with ukulele

Any thoughts on the SE2200a?
I’ve used it a few times. It’s a solid microphone, and thinking back to when I used it, I don’t really have any negatives 🫡
