Mozart' Requiem？ No way. It is a misnomer. I agree wholeheartedly that it is underpowered , rushed, underplayed, and undersung. Mozart would twist and turn in his grave. Go back to either of the two recordings of Karl Boem's Requiem in 1971. I listened to this piece broadcast by Japan's national broadcaster NHK late at night.

Do any of you actually listen? Underpowered, rushed, underplayed, undersung.
There is Nothing at all to distinguish this from any other period ensemble that rushes through this piece without any vibrato from the strings.
Rex Tremendae? NO Weight, Grandeur, NOTHING AT ALL! Horrible!!!!!!
The most boring and rushed Mozart requiem I’ve ever heard with absolutely nothing to distinguish this hack from a robot.
This guy is a complete and total joke.
I get if you’re tired of slow performances of this piece; but geez Marriner has the speed and actual emotion weight of the piece.
He’s doing NOTHING to get any emotion from this piece.
