      A couple pundits highlighted how Trump's pitch was mostly a selection of his rally speeches. There were a few additions, kind of like samples he tested on the audience after Biden stumbled. But he didn't seem to offer much to moderates. Even his promise to accept the election results if legal, fair, etc., brought the moderator to ask the question again for clarification. In other words, once Trump saw he won, he didn't worry about expanding his base. He didn't even try to seem charming, just angry and mean. He performed better than Biden, but if he had moderated his message, spoken factually (no lies), or mustered compassion, that could have been much worse for Biden and much better for Trump. "Could have been worse" is cold comfort but it's true. He's still Trump.

      The funny part is that Trump didn't have to do anything. He just had to play to not lose. Biden played as hard as his cognition could handle and he still lost.

    Is this a comedic rhetorical question? Democrats should have made the decision to pull Joe & Kamala as the candidates. You tried to pawn off the idea Trump was the delusional one and guess what, we all saw the lies you spun last night. Is Debbie W Schultz still running the show? Seem so..Total circus last night at home field.

    Biden could not even cite serial 7s or serial presidents if someone asked him. He has stage 2 or stage 3 dementia already. Unsteady gate, multiple falls, low confidence, easily fatigued, bradykinesia plus starring episodes as well as periods of loud, inappropriate, and distracted behavior. This has been occurring for a long time. Shame on his family for not helping him politely and gracefully resign. He is unfit. His condition puts American at risk in numerous ways. He is not presidential, not respected, has policies that have caused substantial harm including loss of life and excess waste. He has a failed presidency. Terrible.

    This was not a debate. It was Trump using a technique that actually has a formal name, the Gish gallop, although I suspect he comes by it naturally. It’s a rhetorical technique in which someone throws out a fast string of lies, non-sequiturs, and specious arguments, so many that it is impossible to fact-check or rebut them in the amount of time it took to say them. Trying to figure out how to respond makes the opponent look confused, because they don’t know where to start grappling with the flood that has just hit them.
    It is a form of gaslighting, and it is especially effective on someone with a stutter, as Biden has. It is similar to what Trump did to Biden during a debate in 2020

    • @cutcut1980
      @cutcut1980 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nobody was looking a Trump. Biden looked and acted like he was about to pass onto the other side.
