I once worked for a company as an H. R. person. I was asked to sign an illegal document that would have had dire consequences for someone. I refused to sign it citing it was illegal. The contention that he "won in Dane County" were pure 100% malarkey. We who do this incredibly important work are chosen because the clerks who hire us believe us to be above reproach. When a bad apple is found in the barrel or the bushel, it needs to be gotten out before the infection spreads. But even if someone is crooked, there are so many layers of duplicity to protect the security of the election process it is very difficult for me to conceive a way ON THE WARD LEVEL for someone to cheat in an election. I am reading your comment from Edinburgh Scotland and it is like getting news that an old friend is sick and bitter. But this is not just a domestic issue, since as a direct result of this insane partisan theme which is manifest in the USA I had ended up giving research to the Chinese govt since they seemed a more stable and proactive platform to deal with the issues. It was only in a 20 minute call to a former USAF and NASA engineer who said they I was well and truly in DHS terretory that I made efforts to reconnect with your agencies - FBI, DHS. Then I wrote a letter to your and the PRC London Ambassadors explaining the situation. The nature of a president or head of state is that they be a unifying force for good, yet the circuis which has evolved in the USA has had the opposite effect. Trump is a creature of the swamp who has used the presidency as a vehile for his own tired ego. His is an inevitable symptom of a problem which will not do the people of the USA any faroura and may infact be like a virus which infects the whole body. Sad but true.

Several sates with the most corruption circumvented the constitution and illegal certified their electors. The electors that were certified in Biden's stealing of the election were the fake electors!!!!!!!!!!!

And they- this guy too!- should be shouting from the highest forum that our elections -and specifically that election- was completely fair. I bet he said nothing until confronted with the committee. That’s not right. Even now he just says Wisconsin election was fair. And still didn’t proclaim that he knew the entire election was fair. By him staying quiet he allowed lies and crimes to continue.

People like this lawyer are only interested in protecting themselves.
Look at someone like Cassidy Hutchinson.
She stood against the entire Republican Party in opening up with what she saw and heard taking place.
She was threatened and harassed for standing up for what she believed, but still chose to go ahead with doing what she knew to be correct.

Although he said several times that he was tricked, I get the impression that he wasn't so much deceived as intimidated. Saying he was tricked was probably a better explanation if avoiding punishment was the objective; but ignoring his gut feeling that the project was either illegal or illogical because he was afraid of Republican voters is something else entirely. He made a bad choice. Choices have consequences... I'm also curious how he got over his fear of MAGA, at least enough to be interviewed on national TV. It disgusts me the way he sidestepped the question of what he would say to Donald today, making no mention of being duped in 2020.

But how someone that educated, that entrenched in not only the political system, but Republican party, and Trump campaign, claim he was so naive that he was "tricked" is a poor excuse, and frankly not wholly believable. He very likely knew what they were doing was wrong at multiple stages, likely illegal, and lacked a spine to stand up against it.
