Being from the Chris Reeve generation and taking my daughter to see Man of Steel and turning her into a Superman freak (like her dad)....this remix is fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!! Good job, man! Perfect marriage of the generations!
Both themes have amazing build-up, but each is different. The Hans Zimmer theme has a more down-toned build up, that gets higher and higher. John Williams, however, starts off high and stays there, never coming down except to wave to people below. Overall, this was a great job mashing the two. One of the best i've seen
And Zimmer's theme is also more texture-based, reyling more on drums, while Williams' is more of a leifmotif, opting for a more hummable, melodic tune where almost every note can be remembered. Not like if you had pefect pitch, but when you need to hum the theme. Both gives me chills though, and I love the opening of Zimmer's theme. It has a sound that's like a mix between tense and vulnerable.
Both themes are amazingly different. But you've managed to merge two great movie scores together to create something that is just out of this world! And still make it say 'SUPERMAN' Awesome!
YOU. READ. MY. MIND. But i had also had reminiscence of Lois & Clark love theme during the beginning of Zimmer's piano solo. NONETHELESS. Thank you for this!
I have been waiting a while for someone to finally fuse these two songs together because Zimmers version is just a deconstructed version of Williams. My only gripe is at the crescendo near the end. When zimmers heavy percussion hits is where williams classic ba baba babaaaa ba ba babaaaa! is supposed to kick in full tilt, played in full. I think they were meant to be played simultaneously at the moment and I wish I knew how to do it but alas, I don't. Big props to whoever did this though because it was pretty good
I dig it. There's room in the new Universe for both themes. Justice League's teeny tiny use of the original theme gave me some hope, and your remix is the ideal way for them to transition from the Zimmer theme to the original if they wish to. It's iconic, I mean, why even bother writing Superman a new theme? WB has a rich musical history they need to embrace.
What is amazing is that the two themes, independently written decades apart fit together as if they were authored by the hand of God Himself to bring two generations into one...
Jor-El: Live as one of them, Kal-El, to discover where your strength and your power are needed. You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. But always hold in your heart the pride of your special heritage. They can be a great people,They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way.In time, you will help them accomplish wonders. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you... my only son. Jor-El mash up
Snap! I had the same idea and did a mashup myself yesterday. I was also suprised that I could mix them without pitch shifting. I really appreciated all the effort that Hans Zimmer put into the score afterward. Just sent it to you as a video response!
CON ESTA MUSICA ALUCINO Y ME DAN GANAS DE VOLAR A TODA VELOCIDAD Y LLEGAR AL ESPACIO.SIMPLEMENTE ESPECTACULAR.CUALQUIERA QUISIERA SER COMO EL HOMBRE DE ACERO
This is Awesome. I was always a fan of Williams. I like how Zimmer and he compliment each others styles in this remix. More majestic, meaningful and blurs the lines of Superman fans of 2 generations. Very well done.
Very well done man. Now hopefully in the second Superman movie they can move forward and used a hybrid of Hans and Williams score. I mean its clear that Hans was inspired and frightened of the Williams score... I thought it was great and now that Kal-El has had more than 18 hours to be Superman we can get him acting more like Superman and then get the Superman score!
you my friend are a genius, combining the two themes from Han Zimmer and John Williams into one complete score is outstanding in my book, hope you do more my friend. :[)
these themes, mixed, With Cavill, How do you beat a combination like that? in their sleep, wit a stick. I grew up with Reeves, and THIS, hands the torch.
I hope they do something like this for the sequel. As much as I love the Zimmer score, I feel like the Williams Superman theme is tied to Superman as much as the James Bond theme is to James Bond. They could incorporate a little more of the light heartedness of the Donner films as Superman grows into his character, and signify it with a similar mashup that uses the Zimmer score as a buildup to the classic Williams theme. I was thinking about it everytime I heard the Zimmer theme during MOS.
So other people could tell that he used the "Krypton" theme which Williams Based on "Also Sprach Zarathustra." Makes sense cause it was used in the original trailer too
we pay Tribute to... Christopher Reaves for his Light was and forever POWERFULL and Inspiring and forever ICONIC and always is SUPERMAN ..thank you Cristopher Reaves. 💖❤💖💙💖❤
To all those who say they dislike this... I would like to see you try and make anything as close to what IronPixelChef has done. This is a brilliant remix.
can you please for the love of god mix this with the third man of steel trailer, 3rd because thats the one where this music is played (the drums start at 0:27 in the trailer)
Hey Juan, I can't put the link here, but if you search for "Man of Steel Trailer 3: with remix of Zimmer & Williams Themes" and my handle, you'll find it. I created it back when I finished this remix. Enjoy!

Damn Superman fans have been around since nearly 80 years now. He is probably the most memorable fictional character
Yeah but one is the actual superman and the other is a weird twisted image.
the animated movies are what interests me and this amazing theme

centrella couldn't have said it better myself :)

It portrays Clark perfectly.
Clark had to learn who he was to bring himself up, and eventually lifted his people up.

To breakthrough the finest frontier , here he is The Man of Steel !

This is better than the whole Justice League Soundtrack xD
TheFallofTheEleventh This is what should have played at the end of Justice League! Someone should make an edit like that!
Thanks!
Personally I liked it when they hinted Superman's original theme when he fought Steppenwolf.
@@owenparris7490 and now its man of steel's theme again in the official remake of the final fight lol
What is amazing is that the two themes, independently written decades apart fit together as if they were authored by the hand of God Himself to bring two generations into one...
Trumpet players everywhere are happy :)
true :)
I am not a trumpet player but I agree
your mom say that...
Also, zimmers version is deconstructed because this is the man of steel and he hasn't become superman yet.
Jor-El: Live as one of them, Kal-El, to discover where your strength and your power are needed. You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. Jor-El mash up
Ideal of hope for Krypton
This is exactly the right balance between Zimmer's and Williams' themes that I would want to hear during Cav-El's resurrection flight! Perfection!
"An Ideal of Hope, The Hope of Krypton"
i put my volume at maximum, this theme can make anything epic no matter what it is.
yeah absolutely
***** almost everything
I really hope James Gunn’s Superman theme takes some inspiration from both John Williams and Hans Zimmer. Don’t let us down, John Murphy.
That part at 1:50 kills, son! Perfect use of the Williams' queue.
Nicely done. It sounds like the old Superman theme from the 1900's mixed with The Man of Steel theme. I love it :)
This song remix, had it been in the film, would have made me like the film instead of thinking it was a needless remake. BRAVO!!!!
tewkewl you don't understand what the world remake means. Also this film was far superior to the 77 film.
If the DCCU was gonna form, then Superman needs a reboot.
tewkewl "needless" this guy said
Unexpectedly fits!
This is epic, fantastic! Excellent piece of work.
Thank you!
1:40...Holy hell
ONE OF THE GREATEST SCORE COMBINED AND THE GREATEST SCORE FOR SUPERMAN/MAN OF STEEL
When I found out both the songs were in the same key I was like "oh that's cool" but after hearing this... Just give me a second.... Oh so good :')
The best remix I've heard!!!! It was as John Williams passed the torch to Hans Zimmer!!!
i got chills everywhere in my body.
Glad you liked it.
OMG BOTH SUPERMAN THEMES ARE SO EPIC AND THEY GOT COMBINED! I'm in HEAVEN!!!
Glad you enjoyed it.
So beautiful. Now I have to try to make a Superman video tribute with this music.
Amazing work :)
Tatiana Oliveira me too
Tatiana Oliveira 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
This should play when Superman shows up in Justice League
it will appear
Jahaziel Brito Danny fucked up
Snap! I had the same idea and did a mashup myself yesterday. I was also suprised that I could mix them without pitch shifting. I really appreciated all the effort that Hans Zimmer put into the score afterward. Just sent it to you as a video response!
This... *sniffles* This was BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh my goodness, I am so glad I finally found this. I love it. I really wish this was in iTunes.
Glad you enjoyed it.
IronPixelChef I would love to know how to put this kind of music in iTunes.
Warner Bros (who owns the rights to the scores) might take issue with that! :D
IronPixelChef that makes sense. But as 50 cent would say if it makes money it makes sense.
:D
I got hair raising chills listening to this. Awesome.
CON ESTA MUSICA ALUCINO Y ME DAN GANAS DE VOLAR A TODA VELOCIDAD Y LLEGAR AL ESPACIO.SIMPLEMENTE ESPECTACULAR.CUALQUIERA QUISIERA SER COMO EL HOMBRE DE ACERO
Hector Cena 🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱

wow this needs to be the mos2 theme.
That would be pretty cool.
The two versions are similar enough that they go together naturally.
Excellent and sensitive synthesis. Thank you.
you my friend are a genius, combining the two themes from Han Zimmer and John Williams into one complete score is outstanding in my book, hope you do more my friend. :[)
Thank you for giving my favorite comic hero the best ost ever.
Bits of this almost sounded like Fanfare for the Common Man, fittingly enough
Best Remix I've Heard In A While. Thank You Man Of Music
RIP Christopher Reeve. 1952-2004. You would most certainly be proud of Henry Cavill.
Oh! Both theme songs are my favourite of all time, I could feel the climax in both themes well done you know how to remix orchestra.
that touches from williams theme are very nice
Great work man and hope to see more
these themes, mixed, With Cavill, How do you beat a combination like that? in their sleep, wit a stick. I grew up with Reeves, and THIS, hands the torch.
Superman Reborn.
Man be nice if they incorporated this into the next MOS..boy, you
did an excellent job
This is my favorite version nice work!
I listen to this remix all the time.
Glad you like it.
IronPixelChef I actually prefer it to either one on their own
Beautiful, just Beautiful!!
Anyone notice al the other ideal of hope videos got taken down
I hope they do something like this for the sequel. As much as I love the Zimmer score, I feel like the Williams Superman theme is tied to Superman as much as the James Bond theme is to James Bond. Incredible! Wow
Best damn mash-up, EVER!!!!
its beautiful man. great job.
Liked it but the climax of the original (buh bunna buh buh, *DUN DUNNAAAAA*). Where was that?
I thought I heard it but it wasnt clear.
Ok. I like what you did here. Nice Remix.
This is Powerful !!!
Thank you. That's quite the compliment.
It's amazingly epic! Really makes me want to fly! :P
Wtf happened st 2:26? Totally ruined the mood. haha
Leonardo Talavera scared the shit out of me
Maman MVN scared the shit out of me to
shit the scared out of me three!
That was in the trailer showing a last bit of action. It's not in the score though.
This was ripped directly from the trailers.. Thats why..
It sounds like man of steel theme is outweighing the John Williams's score, more so than having a half and half balance though.
hans i think is the best superman theme ever
Amazing ! It sounds absolutely perfects!
This is really good!
Awesome! - Is there any chance you can make a longer version?
PLEASE PLEASE Pretty PLEASE
Beautiful Chef
This sould be the Main OST in MoS Sequel
just perfect
this is amazing..
They'll most likely use a theme like this when he fights Doomsday as a symbol of ultimate heroic sacrifice
or in a rematch. i imagine a first fight with doomsday being sad, seeing as how he slowly dies
Yeah it's actually pretty anticlimactic and wasted.
H. Conrad that comment made me so sad...
warofdarknessfang Actually its Sad but EPIC. "This is my world" one of the best tracks for a Superhero. Ever
Yea, that goes into my Favorites...
Glad you like it!
To all those who say they dislike this... I would like to see you try and make anything as close to what IronPixelChef has done. This is a brilliant remix.
acepr012 thanks so much! That's very kind of you.
It doesn't just sound like it, it intentionally is a mix between both.
Dios mío, se me despeinaron hasta los pelos de los huevos de lo epico que es este tema musical. 🔥🔥🔥
very nice blend, muy buena mezcla!
I'm surprised that Warner Bros didn't get both Hans and John to compose the score together.
I like where you're going with this...
Thanks collider movie talk
This is fricking awsome im subscribing
incredible
Thanks!
Make a mix of these two themes, plus the Superman TAS theme, the Lois and Clark theme, and if possible, the Smallville theme (Save Me).
Can someone do this with a vocal choir at the back? Man! That would sound EPIC!!!!
the movie was so cool good job
WOW, pretty epic
awesome job!
can you please for the love of god mix this with the third man of steel trailer, 3rd because thats the one where this music is played (the drums start at 0:27 in the trailer)
Hey Juan, I can't put the link here, but if you search for "Man of Steel Trailer 3: with remix of Zimmer & Williams Themes" and my handle, you'll find it. I created it back when I finished this remix. Enjoy!
IronPixelChef Thanks!
Actually, the link is in the description.
Thank you very much!
I LOVE IT
I'm about to fly!!
Very cool
Wow. Thank you.
That's how I'd do it. That's how that's supposed to be.
