I mean, remember, Superman can travel from one side of the UNIVERSE to the other in moments, if he wants, he's that fast. He holds himself back to a ridiculous degree on Earth, because he's so strong just setting foot on the planet would shatter it, if he let loose even a fraction of his actual strength. Strongest character in fiction, is what I've heard.
My god. I was 10 years old when this movie came out. I’m about turn 20 in August this year. I’m so glad I grew up with Henry Cavill as Superman. He is and always be my Superman. No other actor can beat Cavill at the role 😢
@@joesolo7719 Same. Very dated for the effects and acting now of course, but at the time, Reeve just perfectly embodied what I thought Superman was when I was a kid
It's kind of that perfect age to watch films. You're old enough to understand most of what you're seeing, but still young enough to feel pure unadulterated wonder and awe. I was 10 when I watched the Christopher Reeve version and he was my Superman for decades. That being said, Henry Cavill is a close second. His portrayal was the most human Superman I've ever seen, if that makes sense.
@warsonggulch6998 🤦♂️ Ugh He was *10* when he SAW the movie. He's now about to turn *20.* Annnnnnd your question was if he was somehow saying that the movie is 20 years old? Wow... Just *WOW* 🤦♂️
I saw Reeve's Superman in cinemas at the time of their release. I was in my mid forties when I saw Man of Steel. I have to agree with the original post. Reeve's Superman was great, but as a comic book fan left me dissatisfied, even as an impressionable child. Cavill's Superman satisfied me both as a movie fan and as a life long Superman comic book fan. I came out of Man of Steel absolutely buzzing from what I'd just witnessed.
Incredible that somewhere in this vast blue sphere. In the most remote of places, people of different lands, cultures, and creeds they will rally and believe a man can truly fly. Great job Henry, I honestly hope they do give you one final send off…
Man Of Steel was and still is heartfelt and gets me emotional every time I watch it. The first flight scene was so exhilarating when I first saw it in a theater and made me teary eyed with emotion seeing the look of immense joy in Henry Cavill’s face as he learns how to fly. Also seeing Kal-El walk through the opening doors of The Fortress of Solitude as he discovers his purpose as Superman. Such a great and breathtaking scene that will always touch me emotionally.
Damn, I gotta see a movie with an India crowd. I saw The Mighty Ducks years ago in Detroit at one of the black malls and it got crazy like that. People jumping out of their seats with applause, huge laughs with all the jokes, cheering with every moment. In Canada where I live, you could hear a pin drop with a packed crowd.
I remember watching this first time. It gave me hope. But after watching BVS my heart broke. Zack Snyder really knows how to deliver a character that's is adored and loved by fans.
Came here after watching the SUPERMAN LEGACY teaser , and i will say one thing that imo Man OF Steel was so ahead of its time. Superman Legacy Trailer gives vibe of a Fake Set and Fake World. But the Scale of this Movie + Hans Zimmer . This will be my all time favourite.
This is what I've been saying that Gunn's superMAN is kinda obsolete and I don't think it will hold up well for future generations mainly because of that fantasy and pacifist nature how he shows the character. Snyder's SUPERman felt very real at least for me, mainly because of the dark and chaotic nature of his adopted world and the internal conflicts he goes through as a character. Cavill's SUPERman FELT REAL. Edit:Unpopular opinion but I think Brandon Routh is the best superman on live action, my 2nd favorite is actually Cavill.
Henry Calvin He is without a doubt one of the best, if not the best Superman we've ever had, I don't understand why they want a new Superman if we already have a perfect one
i think cavil should get just one more good superman movie, and then he should retire from the role. sometimes stretching a character for too long might kill the essence of the character
Henry Cavills acting is just amazing that smile when he learns to fly is just so real and genuine, like someone who actually just learnt they could fly
This was a joyful scene. And remains so to this day. As a Superman fan since 1980 I was so happy with Snyder's depiction of his power and abilities throughout his films. Finally, Superman from the comics having his immense power brought to life faithfully on the big screen. Will we see the like again?
I'm one of the blessed guys who watched this in the theatre and screamed my heart out. What a movie. Herny Cavill was born for Superman. He always will be the most favourite!
My dad saw the first superman film with Chris Reeves back in 78 and he said it was the best superman interpretation he had ever seen until that is me and him saw this movie in 2013.. Henry Cavil would have made Mr. Reeves VERY proud!! Best superman ever in my opinion.. MOS made me and my dad cry like babies and that not putting it lightly
This gave me goosebumps with the most thrillingly excited cheers included. I’d say I would be quite annoyed if I was in the theaters but watching it separately with all the loud fan’s cheering makes it all so amazing
The reaction from the audience of this scene is extraordinary. Speed Of A Shooting Star a hell of an epic. I love the reaction. Especially not only because above the oceans but the way he flies up slowly and flowingly through the clouds my top favorite part of it all.
Saw MoS in the theater opening day, first showing. I've seen it 5-6 times since. Coming up on almost a decade since it released and very few superhero movies have come close to matching it's quality. It also has one of the best film scores ever, I listen to it all the time
Love Henry but the Snyderverse needed to die. He just doesn't understand film making. His movies always feel like 2 hour trailer for the real thing because he never quite sells you the vision he's presenting.
@SoundingDifferent It did tho. Even when he was given full control over a movie like man of steel he still put out on just okay movie. Although Even the Batman versus Superman Ultimate edition was better than the theater edition it was still a b minus movie at best. Zack is a decent director, but decent isn't good enough

In my opinion THIS is the best Superman movie. This is an origin story. In the beginning every hero makes mistakes, they arent born perfect. But over time they learn to do things in a better way.
MOS portrays it well. Wish critics could understand it.
This.
👏👏👏
It’s literally the perfect Superman movie. For some reason, idiotic James Gunn couldn’t see that over his fucking ego.
And then he 9/11 x1000000 an entire city. Whoops!
One of the greatest moments in superhero movie history.
Literally tears in my eyes*
How much thrilled we were since cavill announcement and then 💔
This just brought a tear to my eye
I have watched this two times in movie theatre just to experience the chills. Still now it gives me the chills. Truly a masterpiece!!
Rewatched this recently, best Superman movie ever. This scene always gives me chills
This brought a smile to my face. I JUST love how alive and hyped the audience are!
1:03 wow that is my country Tanzania and this part is ngorongoro park how fast this guy reach there from USA TO TZ IN JUST A SEC😮 JUST WOW
No other actor can beat Cavill at the role 😢
ever heard of Christopher Reeve? I guess its generational thing, so I get it. Cavill ain't my superman. Reeve is.
@warsonggulch6998
🤦♂️ Ugh
He was *10* when he SAW the movie.
He's now about to turn *20.*
Annnnnnd your question was if he was somehow saying that the movie is 20 years old?
I m a Fan of Superman since childhood....Most powerful Superhero than any one....❤❤❤
All credits to the king Zack snyder for creating such a masterpiece 😍
Hahahaha
It's not a masterpiece, it's a bad Superman movie
@@ericstorm6582 Not better than the original but still amazing in its own way.
Tell me why ppl hate him again?
@@ericstorm6582 your breath is bad🙊
Damn, I gotta see a movie with an India crowd. I saw The Mighty Ducks years ago in Detroit at one of the black malls and it got crazy like that. People jumping out of their seats with applause, huge laughs with all the jokes, cheering with every moment. In Canada where I live, you could hear a pin drop with a packed crowd.
I remember watching this first time. It gave me hope. But after watching BVS my heart broke. Zack Snyder really knows how to deliver a character that's is adored and loved by fans.
I liked bvs. I even bought it on dvd along with man of steel and zack Snyder justice league
Still get emotional! From My 6 year old me to today my 39 year old it’s always the essence of Superman and who he is that makes the character !
Ten years after, still exciting!!!
Thanks Cavill, Snyder and Zimmer!!!
"Fake Set and Fake World" 🤓, tryna be woke ahh comment 😂😭
almost 10 years and this movie still being a work of art
When he shoots straight up and looks down 🙌🏼 Henry is Superman.
I watch this scene an UNHEALTHY amount of times 😅. Subtle acknowledge saying he is HIM!
A decade later, this is still one of the best movies ever
Literal chills and tears, best version of Supes ever, thanks Zack, Henry and Hans for a masterful presentation.
This flight is not scene..it's motivation 🔥
Henry Calvin He is without a doubt one of the best, if not the best Superman we've ever had, I don't understand why they want a new Superman if we already have a perfect one
i think cavil should get just one more good superman movie, and then he should retire from the role. sometimes stretching a character for too long might kill the essence of the character
I'm a huge Marvel fan but this is my favorite superhero movie of all time! I will never get tired. It just hits different!
James gunns superman for sure
James gunns superman for sure
😂
What a great audience, they brought a tear to my eye at how they reacted to the scene that motivates me so much.
The smile across my face is something I'll cherish forever. Thank you Zack & Henry.
I'm one of the blessed guys who watched this in the theatre and screamed my heart out. What a movie. Herny Cavill was born for Superman. He always will be the most favourite!
I always wanted this type of reaction on MOS🔥🔥🔥❤❤
My dad saw the first superman film with Chris Reeves back in 78 and he said it was the best superman interpretation he had ever seen until that is me and him saw this movie in 2013.. Henry Cavil would have made Mr. Reeves VERY proud!! Best superman ever in my opinion.. MOS made me and my dad cry like babies and that not putting it lightly
This gave me goosebumps with the most thrillingly excited cheers included. I’d say I would be quite annoyed if I was in the theaters but watching it separately with all the loud fan’s cheering makes it all so amazing
I watched this EPIC movie in Theaters and I am proud of it .. The graphics and fighting scenes were ahead of time ..
These people are my Family ❤ Love from Karnataka, behalf of all DC family in Karnataka.
DC has family there?😂
@@atwunz yup. Ask your mom about the second family she' hasn't informed you about

Holy fuck Indians are annoying as hell
I saw this in Theaters, wish I had that reaction/audience!
1:14 speechless cinematography ⚡🔥💖
If I had time machine, the first thing I would have done is going back to 2013 and watching this masterpiece in Theater...😢😢😢😢😢😢
Breaking the sound barrier on this flight gives me chills every time.
It also has one of the best film scores ever, I listen to it all the time
Good thing the subtitles we're there. It's just so wholesome seeing everybody cheer together!
I remember this being the last movie I went to go see with my mother at the theater. Superman was her favorite superhero. Miss you mom
sorry for your loss man
:(
@Tensei what’s funny?
Miss this type of theatre hype
The way I started crying after hearing these fans reactions sparked something in me. This was amazing.
Welcome to India
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 crying?!
If you act like this in a movie your a child.
@@kevinotoole885I cry too. It's called being human
@@messytenzo6838well you should see the marvel fans then.
Someone needs to show this to WB so they can see that WE LOVE CAVILL'S SUPERMAN. #restorethesnyderverse
Snyderverse lost them 70 million dollars and cost the WarnerBros CEO his job. It’s not happening
Zack is a decent director, but decent isn't good enough
man what an iconic moment... such a shame it was such an underrated movie
I'm a marvel fan but in my opinion this is the best comic superhero movie.
This one and the "You think you can threaten my mother!?" scene were my favourite parts of the movie.
This honestly was one of the best superman movies, wish that we could see more of it! Loved Henry as Clark/Kal was fantastic, I really hope they bring him back and keep using him for at least another couple films, then they can pap him to the side for the new wave
I can watch this scene 100x … Instant chills 💯🥶
Awww I love the crowd’s reaction so much, how emotional they were! It gave me chills! Specially at 1:43 when Supes looks down at the earth from above 😍 This movie is an absolute masterpiece! And omg Henry Cavill, what a fantastic performance! 💙❤️ Thank you Henry, Zack Snyder and also Hanz Zimmer for this epic theme! It wouldn’t have been the same without you. God bless you all 🙏🏻
This movement is still giving Goosebumps.
Man, I wish I could been there with those guys 😫
What made this movie phenomenonal is the background score by hans, thats the masterpiece
This movie changed my life. I watched in Imax in London opening night. one of the biggest Imax screens in europe. this scene gave me chills. MASTERPIECE!
